The walls of helms deep held the enemy off until the reinforcements could get there. He is a good king. People are just salty cause he got an attitude with aragorn

Honestly give Norrington some credit, he was just following the law and he clearly cared a lot for Elizabeth - so much so that he graciously concedes to Will because he wants her to be happy. Great reaction man, can’t wait for you to see the next 2 🙌🏻

This film had two fight choreographers: Bob Anderson, and another guy. In the final fight, Will and Elizabeth are having a comedy fight with the pirates, while round the edges Jack and Barbossa are by all appearances trying whole-heartedly to kill each other. It is my favourite screen sword fight, beating even The Princess Bride and The Empire Strikes Back (totally counts, that was Bob Anderson in Vader's armour).

As almost always, the first is the best. Only Lord of the Rings is a linear story in three parts rather than a, 'hey, this made a lot of money, let's do it again' series. In my opinion, only Lord of the Rings gets increasingly more captivating with each installment as well. I loved this one, felt kind of meh about the second and was out by the third.

I love how bright green Barbosa’s apple is every time its shown. It’s the only thing that brightly coloured in the whole movie.

But, you always deliver a fun time :) My favorite bit of trivia about this movie is when they were filming the scene where Will and Jack walk along the ocean floor under the rowboat, the space was so confined and the oxygen started to get low, that Orlando Bloom went a little delirious and started speaking in Elvish because he thought he was on the LOTR set.

This movie did a great job of actually showing how immortality can be a curse. By taking away the most basic of pleasures, like just being able to eat and breath. It shows us what the real treasure is and that is life itself. Barbossa was willing to risk it all and give all their plunder away just for that bite of an apple.

22:55 No, that isn’t real unfortunately. As a kid who grew up swimming in swimming pools and the ocean I can say that getting even a bucket of air to the bottom is a challenge. Bodies are also quite buoyant, especially when breathing in. That boat would float right up to the surface 😂😭

Never really thought about it before, but Jack diving in to save Elisabeth just because it was the right thing to do, without any immediately obvious monetary gain, was a good way to indicate early on that Jack is a good person at heart.

Why this is the most I’ve ever commented on a video before! Elizabeth is one of my favorite characters of all time! Her learning curve throughout these movies, the way she handles herself, everything else she does is so awesome! Watching this as a young girl taught me so much about what a woman could do!

This is one of those movies that's an example of being rewarded for letting everyone who contributed have a little bit of screen time. I suggest it, now and again, of all the Reactioners (can that be a word?). It's so fascinating to me that people *fight* to *stop* the credits. Like... why don't more people let them play? What's so terribly important that we stop the credits from playing out? I mean, at the *very* least, there's a bit of music for the musing afterward 💙 (Did you know that VCRs would automatically rewind and eject tapes that played to the end? Of course Johnny Depp and everyone else is absolutely fantastic in this movie but i have to give some love for my personal favorite character Barbossa. Geoffrey Rush completely embodies this role and he seems to have so much fun doing it.
