- We made it through Saw 1-7 marathon and now it's time for me to to FINALLY watch Saw X and see why everyone thinks it is so damn GREAT! This movie does something no other Saw Movie has been able to accomplish... It makes John Kramer the true hero of the movie! Cecelia is on my top 10 most hated character list because she is literally the worst. Ending Gabriela's life was uncalled for and I wish Jigsaw and Amanda would have finished her off when they had the chance. But hey, that always leaves some room for the sequel I guess. The traps and drama were top tier. I loved the turn around at the end of the movie when Cecelia and Parker are looking GOOFY as hell. And most of all, I have loved the Saw community welcoming men and embracing me as one of their own. It has been a great ride and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I will check out Jigsaw and Spiral soon but we have to watch Trick R' Treat for Halloween first!

Interesting fact : Tobin Bell was actually water boarded. He is 81 years old and his dedication to his role as John Kramer is absolutely amazing. ( there is behind the scenes footage of that scene )

As someone who lost his mom due to cancer, I totally relate with Kramer in this movie. Mom would have been just as pissed off as him if someone did that to her.
I’m sorry to hear about your Mom. I bet there’s a lot of people like you that have lost someone to cancer and was cheering on Jigsaw along with you! Saw X was what this series needed. Such an amazing movie that makes you cheer for John Kramer.
I think that’s the best part. Anyone that watches this movie is cheering on John because of that beautiful first part of the story. It just makes you want to see the revenge take place in the second half! I hope Tobin gives us at least one more movie to close it out and I’ll be a happy man.
Ironically this is the first movie where John is actually the main character.
Easter egg that I just learned a few days ago: John calls Carlos a "warrior" after the bloodboarding. His lost son, Gideon translates to "great warrior" in Hebrew.

Continuity Check Fact: The experimental cancer treatment John (Tobin Bell) seeks out in this film is presumably the same treatment for which he sought - and was denied - insurance coverage for in a flashback in Saw VI (2009). This is further solidified by the fact that in Saw VI (2009) John mentions it's located in Norway, which is where Cecilia's (Synnøve Macody Lund) father is (allegedly) doing his work.

This movie deserves a fresh review on rotten tomatoes! I’m glad the critics could see past the gore and find the great story!
And the Saw 6 fact just blew my mind!! He did talk about an experimental treatment in Norway so it all came together in this one!! Great catch!! That’s why you’re always going to be one of my favorites Gator 🙏🪚

I think with this one we can already see why Amanda took the unbeatable traps route. With Cecilia killing off Grabriela just because she felt like it.
i think the angel trap or the rack trap would be fine just fine or The Piranha trap this is not an actual trap however it was a trap John Kramer was concocting in his brain whilst talking to William Easton
I have to agree. Cecelia killing Gabriela and then putting Carlos, an innocent child, in the bloodboarding trap just to make John suffer… that effectively destroyed what little faith in humanity Amanda had left.
I dont know why but Amanda’s line “get some rest Cecilia you’re going to f**king need it” goes so hard
The theater reaction to the end credits scene was hilarious because 90 percent of the crowd was going wild at seeing Hoffman but there were couple people who were very confused about why this random dude is saying epic bad luck, I just found their reactions funny
i was one of said people and almost everyone left by the time it came on. the other people left in there didn’t seem to react :( kinda sad, but what can ya do. i went with my mom and she doesn’t like the franchise so props to her. she was confused by my reaction but happy for me nonetheless (,:
Most people in my theater left before the mid credit scene 😭
this is why i always check online to see if theres end credits (though being careful not to spoil myself doing it)
I love when John is forced in the trap with Carlos he never let Carlos get any of the pain which reinforces Saw 2 showing he doesn’t want to kill kids cause he had Daniel in the safe the whole time
I mean, he's put children in danger before (Gordon's daughter, Jeff's daughter, etc.) but those were at least under strict rules with failsafes in place. I think what made Carlos different is that his involvement was completely unexpected and John had no failsafes for protecting him.
Also it kinda informs his setup of the Nerve Gas House in Saw II; having the structure armored up and sealed meant that there was no danger of a bystander wandering in.
Daniel was still in the nerve gas house up until that point. Things could've gone sour

It broke my heart a little seeing how hurt he was when he found out it was all a big scam. And that midcredit scene!! Whew! As a Hoffman gal, that had me smiling so much
Seriously, him being so happy about his new found life and then it instantly being taken from him AS HE’S BRINING GIFTS TO SAY THANK YOU had me on the verge of tears for real. Him throwing the rack trap outline away like he was going to give up the Jigsaw life is just insult to injury lol
And that after credit scene was incredible!! I’m happy Hoffman was holding it down while Jigsaw was handling some international business lol

I loved this movie so much in the cinema.
Some behind the camera facts:
The movie was filmed on location in Mexico city.
The mexican characters are actual mexican actors, who also reprised their roles for the American Spanish dub of the movie.
The actor that plays Diego is called Joshua Okamoto, a half Japanese and half Mexican actor.
The first victim is played by a Korean actor.
I get the feeling that they kept Cecilia alive JUST IN CASE they do some sequels and set her up as the new villain.
35:16 feel like Cecilia intentionally screwed over Valentina and Gabriella. The wire Valentina had is meant to make one full loop around the limb to be amputated, not just under it, that way you cut off blood flow all the way around for a quicker and cleaner cut. What Cecilia directed her to do meant she probably had to do what she did for 2x as long. Gabriella also probably would’ve been better off breaking her hand first, because then she would’ve fallen out of the way of the radiation machine, instead of being in front of it for another 20-30 seconds. With Cecilia eventually using Valentina’s intestines as rope, and crushing Gabriella’s neck, and how callously she does it, I think one could label her a psychopath.

Agreed, it feels weird siding with Jigsaw sometimes but this movie really makes you cheer on their traps! I just wish Dr. Scrub got a worse trap. I’m just happy jigsaw beat her after she thought she won
It was nice to see Amanda caring for Gabriela , after all they where bouth drug addicts and survived their traps.
Seeing her angry / upset at Dr. Scrub killing her makes perfect sense.
I looooved the music when John was taking off his bandage and realizing he got scammed. One of my favorite parts haha
I Low-key love Cecilia, a Villian for John is a nice touch I think they can do alot with her, she could also be the reason Amanda started turning her traps into a death sentence (Besides her hate for Eric Matthews) Bring on Jigsaw and Spiral!
I’m only 7 minutes in and I love that you’re watching it how I did 😂 ‘I already love John so this is just making me love him even more’ the amount of people I’ve seen saying that only in this film did they empathise with him had me thinking there was something wrong with me 🤣❤️
John is one of my favorite fictional characters ever!! When we discover how John became Jigsaw in Saw 4, there was no going back. I’ll always be team jigsaw 🧩🪚

Truly the best saw movie in years. Finally having John as the main character was great cause that’s wha saw 2 did but this was pretty much 100% focused on jigsaw. He may be a killer who tortured people but he was a cancer patient which they definitely took advantage of using to make us have sympathy for him and hating Cecilia. Seeing Amanda have sm humanity that disappeared in saw 3 is really shocking. The traps were great if this were Amanda’s traps she would’ve fs made them unwinnable but Jigsaw with his code with someone who fucked him over big time still giving them the chance to live. The twist of the movie wasn’t amazing it was pretty predictable since we know jigsaw wouldn’t lose a game like this but I definitely didn’t guess the guy in the post credit scene being a liar as well. The only negatives are Amanda’s wig and I wish we had a scene of Billy talking cause I really like hearing Jigsaw’s voice come out of billy. The most idiotic decision this movie was Cecilia knowing John was jigsaw and still continuing to fuck him over like girl💀. Hopefully we see Cecilia die a brutal death in saw 11 if she comes back.
Maaaaan, I could feel the lack of Billy in this movie and I agree, he should have had some lines to speak. Would’ve been perfect for Gabriela since she threw the tape away.
John being the protagonist makes this a very special Saw movie. I think going forward, the sequel has to be from Team jigsaw’s perspective or it won’t be as powerful/emotional as this one is.
I truly think Cecelia will be the reason Amanda starts unwinnable traps (if she comes back). And as stated in the video, Amanda’s wig is almost as bad as Gale’s hair in Scream 3. Almost.
I'm so glad you kept a good amount of the first half of the movie. It's really what sets this film apart from it's predecessors. Also, constantly referring to Cecilia as "Dr. Scrub" had me laughing out loud! Your Saw reactions have been spectacular, my friend. One of the best reaction series on this here RUclips. In Salt Lake City two teenage boys were turned in after being overheard planning the kidnapping, torture, and murder of several individuals who in their estimation needed to be taught a lesson. The pair had set up cameras so as to record their killings. In Tennessee, two girls were charged with phone harassment after leaving a 52 yr old woman a voicemail stating they had taken possession of her friend, we’re about to release a toxic gas, and the voicemail recipient had to choose between risking her own life to save her friend’s or let her friend die.

Here we go!! I loved this film so much. I went to see it by myself the day after it released and there were only maybe 7 other people in the cinema and I could tell they were all legit fans so that was chill haha. Tobin's performance is amazing in this movie.
I absolutely loved it so much!! I can’t believe how great it was making John the protagonist! The first half of the movie really sets the tone and makes the last half of the movie so much better!
I love seeing movie by myself but I wish there were more people in your theater!! I feel like Saw is most fun with an active audience.
And Tobin was incredible in this movie. So nice and caring, while also being the mastermind Jigsaw. He played both sides of the coin so well! Great comment! ❤️🪚
I need more sequels that take place in between the Saw movies. And I need Cecilia to come back and die a horrible death; she deserved the brain trap. And yes check out Jigsaw and Spiral, they’re different but still have their own twists and who can say no to more traps.

Agreed, there are layers to the Saw franchise and it goes beyond just “torture porn”! Came for the kills and stuck around for the story and characters! I had no idea the franchise story was so layered and it had been my favorite part while marathoning these movies!

This is the first video I've watched from you, and I really enjoyed it. I'm a huge Saw fan, and Saw X is probably my favorite Saw movie after Part 6. I lost my mom and grandma to cancer, and I recently just went into remission after going through treatment for a year, so I have so much empathy for John. It's hard not to in this movie. Tobin Bell is amazing, and I hope they are able to do Saw 11 with him, Amanda, and Hoffman. Maybe bring Cecilia back to play another game, because she is a POS.
I love carlos so much. He's so kind, and a true hero for pulling the lever. One of my fav character's in the saw movies.
Man seeing this in theatres was amazing I personally think Cecilia was just left in the room to die like adam in the bathroom I was hoping that her trap would be more brutal hers was pretty tame tbh but this film is definitely in my top 3 of the franchise

I found these videos earlier today, and have binged them all already! I am a HUGE Saw fan and have seen all the movies several times over. I can barely remember my reactions and thoughts the first time I watched most of them, except the 3 most recent. I keep trying to show my friends the movies but none of them actually get interested. Watching your videos feels like I am showing a friend my favorite movies for the first time!

I was a big horror fan when I was younger, and Saw was my number 1, I’m 17 (as of this comment) and it was a dream come true seeing this in theaters
This is one of the best theater experiences I've ever had. The crowd was hyped at the end credits scene. I'm not a Hoffman fan myself, but seeing him was great in context of Saw X.
When I saw this in the cinemas, I was like ain't no way these guys are legit because we all know what happened. 😂
The finger trap I would just turn it all the way and get it over with. I’ve broken a finger before and it was very painful but surprisingly not as excruciating as I would imagine beforehand.

Saw X was a huge surprise. I was expecting this to be another run-of-the-mill Saw film that had nothing new to offer, but they managed to prove me wrong. If anything, this film proves that what we’ve always needed was John Kramer.
To be honest, if they decide to use this movie as a branching timeline going forward with movie 11 in order to avoid movies 2 - 9, I would actually be onboard with that. I want to see Kramer taking on more serious criminals, the truly evil people who deserve to be in the games, as opposed to just random people with minor issues.
The kid, Gideon, can be used as an explanation that this version of Kramer has more faith in humanity, as he was able to find a son in him after losing his own. I’m just saying, this film has opened the door for a new direction that can work.

Was so excited for your reaction to Saw X and it didnt disapoint...my father in law died of throat Cancer and seeing him suffer as he did was awful, my husband and I very much sided with John in this, if they had done this to my father in law there is no rock on earth big enough that they could hide from us.

Saw X is for sure one of the best films of 2023 for me. I was super surprised with how much I liked this one. It felt... different from what I was used to seeing. It didn't start off in some dark and gritty looking area nor did it start off with a person in a trap. This was more of an emotional and plot driven story this time. It showed us something we didn't really see before. We get to see a different side to John and we see more of him. Maybe more so than 2 ever did. Loved the relationship between John and Amanda in this one as well. X made me kind of liked Amanda again. 3 and 6 really ruined her character for me and for the longest time, I've held such contempt for her. Liked that she kind of got a bigger role here.
Hell, even the musical score is different here too. Charlie brought in some really nice calmer, warmer and more emotional cues. I was so caught off guard with how sublime it was. Was shocked hearing more choirs too. Of course, we still get our usual Saw traps and the like too! I really do not know which trap is my favorite in this one. They all were unique and cool in my opinion. I think its tied with the eye trap, the razor wire trap or the brain trap. I do also like the bomb and Gabriela's traps were cool too!

I started watching the franchise when I was...... 6 - 8 with saw 2. So this franchise has been a part of my life for years and is the reason I love gory horror movies (I’m nearly 25 now)
This was also the very first saw I got to see in theatres! And with my mom no less who I got into the franchise back in 2018. She hadn’t been to a movie theatre in over a decade 0.0
What a wild ass movie to see in theaters after so long 😂😂😂 and I think it’s awesome you’ve been watching so long. I was such a scared little kid so I never watched horror. Even horror movie tv commercials would make me afraid to sleep! So I bet you are battle hardened now where no movie can scare you!
@@TheDorkSideTV I know right? 😂 we had such a good time tho!, she loved gory movies but her reactions to gore are the best 🤣, and OOF totally fair! I was scared of a LOT of the horror as a kid for sure, and you REALLY have to try to scare me now (midsommer well being sleep deprived nearly gave me freaking ptsd and I haven’t seen it since my first viewing 3 years ago 😂) and “caveat” has a shot that’s been burned into my brain for way to long and comes back at the WORST times

One thing I feel like not enough people talk about is how much context and depth this movie adds to Amanda. This took place immediately after Saw I and she's clearly still vulnerable and raw following her survival from the RBT. She unexpectedly comes across someone who goes through similar struggles (drugs) and survives her trap only to be tragically killed by somebody ungrateful to be alive which made her start to crack.
In Saw II we learn that she turns to cutting. Getting framed by Eric was clearly the last straw where we see her "decline" and turn to murder.

As a big huge massive fan of the saga (my favorite movies saga) I love watching reaction videos. I enjoyed seeing all your reactions to the franchise this past week. I would commend thousands of things in your videos to have conversations that could last hours and hours. haha
Regarding the movie "Jigsaw", it is part of the timeline from 1 to 7. It has events and characters directly related to the movies you have seen so far, BUT I think that what perhaps many do not like is that some elements of the saga are not used in that film, important and key aspects of the saga such as colors, settings and so on. Maybe they wanted to do something a little "different" but sometimes the "different" is not so well received if a saga already has an extremely important style, but possibly you will like it in general. You will see "relevant data in the history/timeline of Jigsaw" very secret until now. And regarding Spiral, they returned to some key elements of the saga, which was very good, but many people don't like it because as you already mentioned, it is not directly related to the timeline from 1 to 7, but it doesn't mean it doesn't have some good things. Regarding Spiral I will only say: FINGERS. That part is great.
I hope you enjoy them when you watch them... and I will be here waiting for your next reactions.

Honestly the eye trap is probably the most tame trap Jigsaw would have ever made. Yes it will hurt like hell, but if you just quickly turn the dial straight to the final it'll all be over in mere minutes.
Jigsaw is definitely a part of the main series and timeline, Spiral is the only spin-off, either way I would definitely recommend watching both at some point. Saw X is truly special though, it was the movie we needed since 1-7 ended in 2010.

X is definitely my 2nd favorite after 6...or.....maybe better?! I just loved it. Glad to hear you will get to 8 and 9 eventually. Fans really hate 9 for being a complete stand alone but that's what I love about it. It's truly it's own story, which is interesting.

it’s also sad that amanda probably feels extra guilt over gabi’s death since she managed to convince john to switch the order of the traps so gabi wouldn’t have to be tested second. if gabi had completed her trap in the original order, parker might not have threatened john and amanda again until after mateo’s ended, which would allow amanda to get her the medical help she needed.
Technically these people fortified John's beliefs in his work. You see him second guessing it all after the operation by tearing out The Rack design and throwing it away. At this point he had left Adam in the bathroom and then gone to Mexico for this to happen. Him being further into his cancer and too tired to get up from his chair in Saw 2 follows suit from this movie and Amanda's really short hair is also nice touch on the timeline as it would have grown to the length she had in saw 2 after all of this

Gabriela's cute as fuck 😍.I was rooting for her the most because she was the most innocent out of that group and Amanda saw herself in her. Definitely one of the worst twists and I was really hoping to see a bond form between Gabriela and Amanda 😥.I question alot of the writing decisions and I was not satisfied. The best scene in the movie imo is the mid credits scene with Detective Mark Hoffman :D. The blonde POS I needed to see die. It felt so weird that this Saw film didn't delivery the fans with that. Building the POS up as this POS, becoming the absolute worst human being in the whole franchise, cheats her game, killed an innocent and wanted to kill a child? Almost out of character that Jigsaw/Amanda/Hoffman

As much as I love all the saw movies this was the first to give me sympathy for Jigsaw 😭
One thing that made me think... John, hoffmand and amanda dont bother hiding their faces etc. In this movie. And specially Hoffman back in US in thr last scene. So it's kinda funny how jigsaw team say it's about the victims trying to survive. But if they survive and they let them go, they know their faces so.... They dont really believe that the victims survive the traps so their identities are safe. You'd think Hoffman specially dont wanna show his face to jigsaw victim being detective and all

Especially with Hoffman being too confident being around the police station a lot while being Jigsaw, then him having no choice but to kill everyone who found out his identity from his Jigsaw voice in Saw VI just solidified how he didn't care much about his identity anyway. Just his pure bloodlust
Jigsaw and Spiral are both in the same timeline. But they are the most standalone entries, with neither having overly explicit ties to the 1-7 story. You could watch them both in either order, but Jigsaw was released a couple years before Spiral.

Hope you can check out “The collector” It was supposed to be a prequel for saw but it got rejected. It’s like Home Alone x Saw. It also has a sequel called “The collection” and supposedly there would be a final movie called “The collected” but it got abandoned midway.
