Yeah, I’m a Feral fan so that kind of blows. But luckily we’ve got sunspot already - the X-Men ‘97 version of him at Rank 3 as well as then more OP version from the CRB at Rank 5.

Who could have predicted he would not only have his own show… but two seasons… and it would be great!

I suppose they left those four out for page count reasons, but I wish it was clearer that they didn't come with the physical copy - it could have impacted people's decisions on whether to buy physical or digital.

@@FuzzyOnTheDetails At the moment, I only have a physical collection of the four books for display purposes, but I do plan to buy them on Amazon at some point for sake of convenience. (Also helps that the digital versions get automatically updated, I believe.)

@@FuzzyOnTheDetails I think that answers why Marvel put up the profiles for free on their website.

What's interesting is that when reading the book on Demiplane, the Headmen profiles are in the same section as the other profiles (all mixed in / alphabetical). So, there's no indication that you're reading bonus content. It makes me wonder if there are other changes between formats.

Yeah, I wonder if that is something they'll do for any pregens going forward?

Hi there! Thanks for the kind words! I'm happy you find them helpful. Regarding initiative, there were 3 distinct combats and we rolled initiative just the 3 times. However, the combats were very short (with only 2 players), and I edited things down quite a bit to squeeze as many mechanical examples in as short a time as possible, so I can definitely see how it might seem like I'm rolling for every round :-). I could have squeezed the first two combats into one, but the adventure I borrowed this combat from had them as separate, and the kiddo really likes rolling dice, so I figured I'd keep it as is. I'll be mindful of the editing in the future to make sure I'm clearer about when we're coming out of initiative. Thanks for the feedback!

I like the concept of the Lair Action. Makes me think about the Blackbird and how it has “automated laser batteries” than can attack independently of the vehicle.

On paper, Magneto (at Rank 6) would be a match for 4 rank 4 mutants. Or 3 rank 4’s + 2 Rank 3’s. Which isn’t far off from the teams you mention above. For Juggernaut I don’t see him so much as a big boss, I think of his classic one-one-one bar brawl with Colossus and the fact that he’s been more of a team player in recent years (like in the new X-Men issue that just came out this week!). Personally I’d keep him where he is. Actually I’d love to play him as an x-man!

That one is definitely on my list. The next month is going to be busy with Deadpool and X-Men stuff... and some Actual Plays I'm behind on... but soon after that :-).

I'd love one that detailed villainous organizations - their power structures, typical schemes, equipment, powers, character profiles, etc. Would be fun to play as a group of Rank 1 characters that unwittingly start the game in an organization that is a secret subsidiary of AIM or Hydra, and then they discover they're the baddies and have to escape.

​@FuzzyOnTheDetails I had a similar idea. And thanks to a recent Hydra update on the Marvel Multiverse Reddit thread, I can go for it. The plan is to assign Hydra Bob to a player, and he leads a mission to infiltrate AIM and try to leave with some Intel. Of course, things go sideways quick and the party will have to face MODOK. Deadpool can save the day if things get dire. Feel free to use that concept folks.

Yeah the fact the both of those guys have Accuracy 2 and Situational Awareness means they often hit first and always hit hard. And if the heroes have to spend time closing the distance so they can attack hand to hand, that is going to be very rough!

You could always house rule something like that, but I think that's the intended use of the reaction, so I personally wouldn't do so. I do think there are some creative things you can do to get around Skulk. The Webtrapping power targets the ground, for example. Grenades are thrown at spaces as well, not at enemies/targets. Neither of these is a "ranged attack" but can still be used in a way that could reliably impact the enemy and not the innocent.

That is amazing! I'm so tickled that you used them both! One of the things I hope the X-Men expansion does is consolidate the rules - there ARE rules for defenses for Vehicles... but they're in the "Objects" section of the CRB. Not even in a subsection names "Vehicles" or anything. So very easy to miss. "Attacking Objects: Sometimes a character wants to attack a thing rather than a person.... If the object is a vehicle under the control of a character, the target number is its operator’s Agility defense, modified by the object’s size. If the attack succeeds, the character operating the vehicle must make an Agility check to maintain control, using the amount of damage done as the target number." (This is where Commander Kraken's "piloting" trait would come in handy)

​@FuzzyOnTheDetails We created him at rank 2. The one shot I ran was for rank 2 as the players were all new, and one of the players loves monkeys and enjoyed the animated show. Rank 2 just seemed right to me. I guess you could run him at rank 3, but I dunno, rank 2 just seems right.

Yeah, I feel exactly the same. Interesting that he's included with Wolverine and DP as Rank 4's. Maybe they're the big bads in the adventure :-)

There are two ways one can use it - neither is the integrated experience that Roll 20 is (but when Roll20 is nearly unusable on your system, either is better than nothing). First, you can just take advantage of what I personally consider to be Foundry's superior Fog of War and wall/window building functionality, and use Demiplane for the character sheets. This is, essentially, how Glass Cannon does all of their Pathfinder games. Second, the good folks in the MMRPG Discord have a channel dedicated to a homebrewed implementation, which is not officially supported (so as to avoid infringing on Marvel's IP), but is available as a module. You will need to do some manual effort to get some text loaded in, but the folks who are using it consider it to be worth the effort. If you're interested in that, I'd go check the discord out and you can ask for Jalensailin. I'll add that lately I've been doing mostly theater of the mind and I've been having a lot of success in getting through encounters efficiently. I typically do 3 battles in a 3 hour session, and in my experience, using a VTT can often slow things to a crawl I'm lucky to finish 2. I'm experimenting with Owlbear, as well, which is very simple to set up and use.

@@FuzzyOnTheDetails its on the Demiplane site if you have the deadpool adventure on the Demiplane site sign out and look at the Deadpool adventure with out signing in and it gives you a list of 8 characters Annabelle Riggs,Deadpool,Doop,Hit-Monkey,Paladin,Ren Kimura,She-Hulk (Lyra),Wolverine (Logan)...And more! i looked up who Lyra was and it said she is Hulk Daughter who gets weaker the madder she gets it didnt show any of the profiles now i want to see how the game handles her getting weaker if that is in her profile

I think once you get to a certain sized weapon, I start to think of it as a power that's part of a vehicle (like the elemental powers that are a part of the Hydra Attack Helicopter in Cataclysm of Kang). Maybe Elemental Blast for the minigun (but with a bleed effect). For a rocket, or missile, you could go with Elemental Barrage (Fire), but I would say it would hit all characters in the radius. I might halve the radius, too. So, 5 spaces from the target instead of 10.
