Needs a training montage power - spend a turn speeding through a montage of weeks of training in order to gain an edge on a check that would benefit from whatever training they did until the end of the scene.
I was thinking about a suiting up montage (like in the recent trailers), but couldn't finalize an effect that didn't overlap too much with the Maximum Effort power.
I was thinking of playing a character who knew be was in an RPG for another system. But I could use this perfectly for that character in this one instead 😊
We used to play Champions in a very corny universe. We did a lot of this, though not quite as formally. We had a standing rule that, once play started, if you cursed at all… other than in the style of the Adam West Batman… you had to role to see if the Comic Code Authority would show. They were Super, Armed to the teeth, and overly fascist… their goal was to take you and your associates out in the most violent way possible! Lot of fun!
P.S. It’d be awesome to make power trees which covered the stuff that SheHulk, Gwenpool, and the comic-book Deadpool can do (with Man-Thing’s help). Such as take shortcuts through comic-book panels, and read the ending of the comic book ahead of time. And one power ought to refer to the Narrator and/or Matt Forbeck by name.

I might have to come up with some additional Narrator advice as well, as those are the kind of powers you can only have with full buy-in from the table and Narrator (kind of implied, given its homebrew, but I mean more specific suggestions for the Narrator).
In my first game for my players I had Deadpool show up just as a funny cameo. One of my players is called shade and he has this really low raspy voice which is great because me as the narrator can't hear anything in real life lol So Deadpool addresses the player and says, Hey Terry can we have captive voice box speak up a little bit so our illustrious leader can hear what the fuck you're saying? And then other little quips along those lines It was great everybody was rolling.
