This was probably the best episode ever... Paul is incredible. The things he has accomplished in racing, are things I can only dream of, and his car collection is absolutely incredible, but most important, he seems very humble and down to earth. I like that he has some of everything, not everything has to be 100% original, and he has stories for a lot of the cars. The Torino has so many cords going underneath of it, it looks like it's on life support LOL... When I saw the shiney spot on the hood, I knew immediately what happened. My best friends dad bought a brand new 1970 Cobra Jet Torino. It was white with blue interior. It had the rear window slats too, but his had the Magnum 500 wheels. Anyway, my friends sisters were going to surprise their dad and wax the black on the hood because it wasn't shiney. Needless to say, his dad was very surprised when he saw the car. It was an awesome car. It was always garaged and he hardly ever drove it, he drove his 73 F-250 pickup most of the time. Unfortunately he got MS really bad and one night the house caught on fire, and there was no way he could get it out. It was all he could do to get out of the house himself...
It literally broke my heart when asked "do you drive these cars?" and he responded "No". 😢 Literally the worst thing for a car is just sitting.... I can understand something ultra rare which can't be easily or ever replaced, but at least those ones should be started weekly to monthly and run through the gears in the space.... the other ones should be exercised at least monthly on the road in good weather. Yeah, the cars look neat but if they have not been driven, most of them need every rubber part and seal replaced: oil seals, water pump seals, intake manifold seals, driveline seals, every rubber bushing in the suspension and mounts replaced, and every part that touches gasoline cleaned out. I agree about them needing to be driven, and it’s definitely cool that a person well versed on a particular car can tell the visual differences between say a 66-67-68. But in practice I like when a car remains unchanged or updated for 15 or 20 years. Parts are usually cheap and easy to find, all the problems have been ironed out by that time, etc. I remember a friend had some kind of ‘58 Chrysler and he needed trim pieces from the junkyard. It HAD to be from a ‘58, even though ‘57 and ‘59 was a similar design the part was different. I don’t miss that
Sorry to enlighten Paul, but the 68HO wasn’t the most powerful engine olds ever made, it was two olds police interceptor models that both were published at 400 hp. Having said that, the 68 ran hard, I don’t believe it’s published HP.
Awesome collection! Just a note about the 70 Torino Cobra. They never came with a 428 in 1970 or 1971 or a rear spoiler (maybe dealer installed?). 428's were only available in 1968 or 1969. Just saying
I caught that too. Neat car although. I'm suspect of some of the facts on his other cars. He claimed the red 442 was original untouched. It had modern high performance gauges in it.
On the 442, if I’m not mistaken a 455 is just a 400 with a larger bore, and regarding the Torino it’s still kinda crazy how many engine options they had back then, and how cheap they were. I was watching another car video showing the sticker on a 1970 Ford and the upgrade from a 351 to a 429 was only either $60 or $80. If I recall it was cheaper than the radio upgrade

I could spend all day in there looking at those cars and listening to his stories! My first car was a '71 Torino, plain jane, 4 door. Literally my grandmother's car. When I found out there was such a thing as a GT version it became my holy grail car. 40 years later, I would still love to find one to call my own.
The 67 W30 was not a dealer installed package. The air cleaner was chrome from the factory. The E block was used in 66-67 not one year only. Hard to believe this guy worked and raced for Olds.
Some great cars, as an English man who worked for Jaguar for many years its made my day that Paul is the very 1st American to say Jaguar correctly its pronounced JAG U R not how everyone in North America says JAGWHARR.
@@BigblkKidWhile fender louvers were only in 1969 and 1970, they were not on all 1969-70 Novas. Only standard on upper trims or in exterior decor optioned cars. Many low trim 1969-70 Novas don’t have fender louvers.
Wow! What an incredible collection! And he's got the story for each one off the top of his head. Hopefully you can go back and film more of the collection!
I just saw a Nassau blue Camaro with white stripes under a carport covered with junk today only could see the back end not sure the year 67-69 it was in the mountains of Oregon near the coast!
I was raised in a car family, married a mechanic and help work on cars... To see these cars just sitting there for collectors(?) purpose or for whatever reason just absolutely kills me. Wasting away to only look pretty on the outside while the heart and soul of it dies/died a slow death. An unbelievable choice one would make.

The red Nova at 11:45 is a 1970, not a 69. 70-72 style marker lights and 70 steering wheel horn shroud with the Pebble grain, not the Madrid as 69 would have.
Back in 1974, I had a 1967 Cutlass S. 330, 4 bbl, metallic Silver paint, black interior. It was the exact same body, and interior as that racing 442. Still the favorite car of all I've owned.
Awesome car collection. Please correct me if I'm wrong but at 6:27, isn't that a roll bar and not a roll cage? I thought a roll cage had bars which went to the front of the roof as well as the back. In essence, the whole roof of the car is protecting the occupants of the vehicle.
Agreed - awesome collection! I would think that anytime there's more than 1 bar, it goes from a "bar" to a "cage." It's just that not all roll cages are created equal. More is required with more speed. That car isn't going to get to 200 MPH so it doesn't need the full cage they put into drag and drive cars.
I remember watching Genitlosi driving his Oldsmobile and putting my favorite IMSA Mustangs on the trailer! His racing accumin was legendary! I'm glad he's still going strong!

Amazing collection and even more amazing owner! I’d love to hear his purchase story of each car.
What a guy, you could dedicate a whole series to.him amd his passion, never mind a whistle stop tour! Brilliant 👏
What a lovely man.
Best episode ever
😂
Paul was a legend back in my day. I loved watching him race. This was a real treat to see him again. Thanks Hagerty 👍🏻😁
So happy he left the red Nova alone. LS swapping that would have been a sin. Such a rare car now. Nothing wrong with the straight six!
that nova story is complete bs, my buddy sold Paul the car maybe 4 years ago. Car is absolutely full of mud, definitely not all original.
Ego chasers are the most dangerous thing to a car.
Lansing guy here, so happy to see someone saving these beautiful cars right in my back yard, theres alot of gear heads around here.
Wow WoW WoW!!!!
I remember watching him road race as kid on ESPN and SPEED TV whatever it was. Really nice collection 😊
I think Paul deserves a complete video series, there is just so much to see and chat about. That engine room, I could literally smell the oil and all things enginey lol
This awesome car collection comes with an equally cool guy. This old-ish man, would love to spend some time in that old grocery store checking stuff out, even just for an hour.
when he said he is 74 i had to stop and look- yeah oh his lifestyle did him good ! :)
This place and guy needs another 5 videos! Amazing wealth of knowledge and beautiful cars with so much history!!
Incredible cars… there are many more that haven’t been shown or talked about and the Cougar that the camera panned over is one i’ld love a closer look at !! Love the Olds, hell love them all !!
just panning ..... "SQUIRREL" :)
I could spend all day in there looking at those cars and listening to his stories! My first car was a '71 Torino, plain jane, 4 door. Literally my grandmother's car. When I found out there was such a thing as a GT version it became my holy grail car. 40 years later, I would still love to find one to call my own.
Heros don't always wear capes! 👍
Honestly, the cars are impressive as hell- but winning all those championships? Fantastic! Great video, thanks
Nice stash and even nicer stories behind each car!
That W30 was to die for...seriously, what a unicorn in perfect condition. Gorgeous.
675ci chevy looked fantastic, loved it too.
Another great video..Barn Find Hunter is one of my favorite You Tube programs...
Wow! What a nice guy Paul Gentilozzi is and what an absolutely fantastic collection of vehicles he has collected.
nice to see a org. 69 nova .as most have been made into a muscle car clone of a SS ,yenko etc
It's a 70. Still super cool. Not knockin it.
@@nwnwsales4729 Glad someone else noticed, wonder why has a black SS style grille?
also, no fender louvers all 69 & 70's had them, being all original? something going on there in the front end, not bashing just observing
@@BigblkKidWhile fender louvers were only in 1969 and 1970, they were not on all 1969-70 Novas. Only standard on upper trims or in exterior decor optioned cars. Many low trim 1969-70 Novas don’t have fender louvers.
that nova story is complete bs, my buddy sold Paul the car maybe 4 years ago. Car is absolutely full of mud, definitely not all original.
Wow! What an incredible collection! And he's got the story for each one off the top of his head. Hopefully you can go back and film more of the collection!
I love this kind of stuff! I feel like I have gone back in time to the late 1960's and 1970's. Thank you both!
Part 2 would be great!
It's selfishness...I agree...It's like a locked up corral with wild horses and no pasture...When guys obsess; they obsess BIGTIME!
Paul was a totally down to earth guy., great to see. cheers for the throwback.
Man, modern cars will never be this cool to me.
@@Djoki1 I'll 2nd that 😀
More of that place....Please!!
Please go back and make more videos with this guy and show more of those classic cars. I loved seeing this video, and reading the comments there are many many others who feel the same way. Thank you for sharing your find with us.
Those are the best frozen foods I’ve ever seen
Love Paul and was a fan from his Road Racing days. Just curious how he knows that is the only Orange '68 Z/28.. Thanks for posting this video.
Definitely deserves a followup when he has more time.
I love introducing Paul Gentilozzi to car people, it's like introducing Bono to U2 fans. The man is a legend.
The red Nova at 11:45 is a 1970, not a 69. 70-72 style marker lights and 70 steering wheel horn shroud with the Pebble grain, not the Madrid as 69 would have.
Correct, good catch. It’s a 1970. The clear marker lenses in the front bumper is unique to 1970.
that nova story is complete bs, my buddy sold Paul the car maybe 4 years ago. Car is absolutely full of mud, definitely not all original.
Back in 1974, I had a 1967 Cutlass S. 330, 4 bbl, metallic Silver paint, black interior. It was the exact same body, and interior as that racing 442. Still the favorite car of all I've owned.
Finally! A Barn Find episode that's not all rusting decrepit hulks under trees! Amazing collection!
You are obviously unclear on the concept. Wondering why you come here at all.
Love it and the stories you can’t replace. The love for the cars makes me smile cause you can feel the appreciation ! Love you for that
Too cool. Only knew him from TransAm race result sheets.
This guy is the Commander Mcbragg of the automotive world with his endless stories . Awesome collection and stories .
The ford flathead has a nice exhaust note but does not have a flat plane crank.
Yeah he was off about several things. That convertible is a 51 not a 50. Unless it had the quarters modified.
Could listen to Paul in his own episode, the knowledge he has is priceless and educational
Oh way too much fun....thank you!
Thanks Paul for opening up your collection for us to see. So cool to hear about your early racing history with Oldsmobile.
That Nova!
A beauty
Great competitor, remember him since the 80's. Great interview! Seems lile a stand up guy, with a very heavy right foot👍
Dude is gonna have Jay Leno begging to come take a look
I watched Paul race, and rooted for him in Trans-Am for many years. I miss the driver and I miss the series. Both American racing legends.
What a legend. Cool dude.
Theres a hearty smile...
In every isle...
What cool stories with each car. Loved the 8track win😂
Nice collection ! Hats off
