Lovley footage Mark, well done.
OMG that fall was epic and what a sport!! Put wet phones in a tub or dry rice, it will pull all the water out.
Great video, knowing to can sauce items cheaper than EU, that would lower your costs. Love your honesty.
Nice butt 👀🤪👀
Well done Mark.
A dud sender unit? good call
Hi Mark just trying to get my dream up and running can you send your email so I can chat about how your insurance is working for you Pat
Absolutely rammells@xtra.co.nz
I think if people thought like that Mark, they wouldn't actually have passport entry to the country, and then you wouldn't need a fake exit. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You should have backed in that cave and put the drone up 🤣🤣
OMG!! So Stunning
Because you asked, You do you, but, No Music, you can't please everyone. No previous or next episode views, talking about is ok, but not clips, we will see within minutes anyway, if we missed last week we all know how to go back and watch it.
Really enjoying following your adventures. It would be interesting to know if there is a remote kill switch option available, that if in the unlikely event you were to go overboard that Awanui NZ didn’t sail off into the sunset.
I am looking into that….there absolutely will be just how it works is anyone’s guess. Was hoping there would be a water activated one but suspect not.
And you are doing all this alone, amazing, never stop following your dream ! Never !
Thanks so much. Got some friends with me at the moment.
@ great . With friends is better . But anyway you have chosen your path and you carry on alone . Great )
I split with my GF very close to you, in Nice. Had a WONDERFUL 10 years sailing by myself. First challenge was getting into the fuel dock. But all good since then. I am sure you will enjoy it. Especially the sea time... and ocean time if you go trans Atlantic solo. I only ever take someone on board when I *do not need* them :) For all the passages I was told I would really need help, I went solo and loved it. I learned more solo than ever before. Now, 5 years ago I floated into a port and was cornered and married! Together we sail the world and love it, together. But the big difference is I have to confidence to do anything in the world. If you winter in the south of France you will enjoy it. If you stop by Palavas Les Flots we are here till February. Then back to the boat in the US. Then UK 2025. Might see you somewhere.
I will check out where you are. What a wonderful story. Stay in touch
Keep up with the drone footage up. What drone are you using?
I always want to fly, I started on planes at 21 and the moved to Helicopters at 38, Love Helicopters now. As far as following your dreams, both my kids are playing football in Spain and we now live in Spain, we helped them follow their dreams and it has taken us all around the word :) My Parents did the same for me so I know how feel, love the channel.
Great story thanks so much. Who are they playing for and where in Spain
@@AwanuiNZ Valencia, CF Cullera (18 Boy) and Discobolola Torre Fem (24 Girl), but due to the recent floods the competition has stopped for the last few weeks, the boy on target for the NZ u20 National Team and an English Pro Club, Spain is a great development platform.
I know this is months ago, but when you are coming in or out, it would be nice to view what you are looking at and not be watching you and having no idea what you are seeing or talking about.
I was there in June, apparently everywhere along that coast raised their prices because of the amount of Russians on yachts staying out of the war, they kept raising them as they ran out of room. It's a stunning location.
Your videos are superb - and your drone footage has turned into wonderful. Keep going. 😊
I will thanks so much
Mark--Love your channel! Thanks for all you do! But as I've told friends, boating for the most part is a man thing. It's still absolutely great--you just have to accept it's a man thing and work it out. Not unlike flying--mostly a man thing, and like flying, it's just amazing. (Writing this alone anchored on my boat, while my wonderful wife is at home). :-)
Haha so I am not alone huh?
Nope. 😮
Geeze, she is beautiful. That front chain locker would make an awesome trash collection center while underway, with the drain holes you can hose down any nastiness.
Hi Mark (and Fiona!) I'm not often moved to comment on RUclips but you've achieved it. I just wanted to say that even though we've never met I feel involved in your adventure, and more, in your life. Your openness, honesty and willingness to share your experiences and emotions are what make your channel unique. I stumbled across your channel at the time you took delivery and have watched avidly since. I'm glad you are feeling supported and are continuing with your dream, whilst there may be no-one else on Awanui NZ Mark, you are never alone! Cheers and safe travels!
Thank you so much and I do feel supported by all those watchers out there. We are a bit of an open book. Figure warts and all is the best way. Thanks for watching.
Another beautiful episode Mark. Like you, I am sceptical that the outboard engine temperature alarm will be solved by changing the engine oil, but I am not a mechanic; however, I took an outboard engine maintenance course and I recall the excellent instructor stating that just because you have a telltale water flow does not mean there is not a blockage in the cooling system somewhere, so perhaps it would be worthwhile examining the whole cooling system.
It looks like it may have been the oil…no alarm. I am very surprised. Will report further and confess in a future episode.
What an incredible adventure, Congratulations,
Great video, she looks stunning.
Wow, what an awesome team of perfectionists.
1:09:01 - Great itinerary! If you are in Northern Europe during the summertime, I'd *highly* recommend the Norwegian fjords, as well as the Baltic sea. Although I have a pretty biased opinion, I'd recommend you to come and visit the Finnish archipelago, especially around the city of Turku. Absolutely beautiful. Cheers and safe travels!
I think you need some tripods for filming
With stickies I assume
Woohooooo Well done.
Love your honesty, no fluff. I traveled alone with my 10 year old daughter over the summer and felt so safe, we did notice so many Russians in Turkey.
Mark, here in the US Mercury says to change the outboard oil after the first 2 hours. The oil is a break-in oil. That is why the alarm was going off.
Yip looks like that’s the problem……did not say that in the handbook I guess I should have known.
Fiona is truly a saint. I'll just leave it at that.
I keep seeing what looks like a sailboat? So interesting watching this build, so glad you stayed there to capture it all.
Watching this build, I see why they have their price tag ❤
Your realization of being flexible is a great insight.
Amazing video Mark. Beautiful footage. Loving your honesty and inspiring comments. Hope that jolly tender is playing ball.
Seems like it might be and thanks so much.
That was hilarious! Do you sell those lighted wings at the garden, if not you should!
I don't know what I'm more excited to see, the garden has me mesmerized. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🛥
good on you mark your living your best life mate would love to be there doing that
Thanks Barry…Hope you are well
your kiwi you will be fine that's how we roll enjoy your time alone mate
OMG, that is a stunning garden, thank you for showing us around. My first love is the ocean, second is my garden.
Wow, that was amazing to see in progress.
Just thinking you can super glue a hook to the crane remote and then chain it to yourself
Mmm will think on that!
What a beautiful location for the build, Turkey is a stunning country.
How often do you fresh water flush the engine. My 20hp tender motor (Tohatsu) would alarm like that. A fresh water flush would solve the problem for a while. It needs to be flushed every few days.
Yip do that but seems to make no difference. It looks like the oil change may actually have done it….I may have to eat my words
Few years since we all flew single pilot but we managed ehh 😂 Has Kaptin Nixon joined u yet? Keep up the good work mate 👍
A long time Grant. They are on their way. Challenge now is to get them to where I will be.
Mark, I watch your videos with admiration from France. I love your naturalness and the passion that drives it. You are a model for me. and I would love to experience your adventures! And for once a trip on a motor yacht, fantastic. Have a good trip and see you in your next video. Kind regards.
Wow, thank you!
Mark, very moving video. I understand your drive and focus on this adventure and hope the reality continues to live up to the vision! Strong suggestion that you skip trying to film actions like landing the tender that require two hands and intense focus. Safety first, camera a distant second. Thanks for sharing, very absorbing and interesting.
Very good advice, thank you
Well done Mark you are doing great and inspiration. Of course you miss the missus but life has these little interludes of being apart. Keep going 😊
Absolutely will and thanks
Mark, this is a long way. 10 hours and single handed. Not allone because we are all with you onthe boat. Your video quality is great...Thanks for taking all of us with you.
Wow, thanks
