Hi Mark/Fiona, a lot of tank sensors are made up of a float in a stainless tube with holes in it, if you are putting paper in the toilet it breaks up into small pieces that gets into the tube through the small holes, the start of it getting fully clogged up is what you have there, it gets sluggish, there is a product that you can get that they use in them toilets they use in camper vans, it fully breaks up what is inside the tank, this time you probably have to take the sensor out and clean it, it unscrews off the top of the tank, don’t be afraid to pull on it to work it out, they do sometimes get a build up on them and are hard to get out, clean it and put it back and it should work fine. A good practice with the black water tank is when you are out at sea and dump it,take your salt water wash down hose, and 1/2 fill the tank up through the pump out, outlet. Leave it for a while, even better if the ship is rolling then pump it out again, helps to flush it out, but that chemical stuff helps a lot, you probably know what I mean because I think it is the same kind of stuff they use in the toilet flushing system on airplanes.
Awesome drone footage Mark. Thoroughly enjoyed the unique romantic footage you two had in the water. So affectionate made exceedingly special with snorkel etc in place. Love the videos.
Mark and Fiona, wonderful video sharing your adventures aboard Awanui NZ. Great drone shots -- Mark, once a pilot, always a pilot. Failure of sink drainage and holding tank sensors is appalling -- the boat has only been in use for a few months. Amazing that manufacturers can't design and make stuff that lasts. Thanks again, very enjoyable.
Thanks so much…in the end it was my fault. When we depowered the ship and I turned on the cb’s again leaving off the unlabelled ones. Because the pump was fitted last minute it never go a label so I did not switch it on.
Another great video. For a moment I thought you were going to fly through the tunnel, guess it might have crossed you mind, but loss of signal would not be nice. Hope you liked the small bit of Croatia, glad to see you went for a taste. Hope it did not disappoint you.
Again - beautiful scenery, and your drone footage in the beginning !! So well made! Glad you are getting your drone again. Seems like you have a lot of company as well. And also nice to following the daily maintenance and small challenges of having a boat. No suggestions for travelers guide this time - but thank you for giving us our weekly 52 minutes of sailing holiday.
incase you come back - you could have done the checkout directly on the other side of the gas station in portonovi marina. poorly mapped but there is a customs & police station there
Gheezzx . That was a search for anything alive inder the boat . . A few fish at the end . . Sad realy . .. Nice to see a new country and everyone enjoying themselves . Till next time take care . Bye from NZ👋🇳🇿🍻twa
Mark, as usual, you come thru with the best drone footage. Thanks again for a marvelous trip flying around. Oh, oh, not more problems. I'm sorry you have to always have this type of problem. I hope this company makes good on repairing all of this. Why is she having mad feelings? It sounds like everyone shouting, then laughing. Oh well, 😮I can't figure out what's going on. I hope everything's OK. 🇺🇲❤️🫠🧜♂️🔱👍 Cocoa, fla. USA
Great video! Lots of fun to be had in Croatia. Glad Rene is coming for a visit. One question, how well does the air condition work in the pilot house? I’ve noticed that on some boats, it’s the hottest area (other than the engine room).
Totally the hottest area. Works well but as always with aircon the minute you turn it off the heat comes back. Crazy price to run 24/7 so we just acclimatise
Mark, you need to have a permanent order in for new replacement drones, if you continue flying under bridges, around cranes, and around masts of yachts, etc.
Interesting and adventurous drone footage Mark. How many have you lost? Great to see you and Fiona are now accomplished RUclipsrs. What's under the boat is a great segment. What's your opinion on why there is no fish-life in the seas around Europe? We are so lucky here in the Pacific.
Just one so far due to my stupidity of trying to auto take off from a moving boat!! The fish are there but hiding during the middle of the day. They do come out at night and first thing. Certainly has been fished out over here in many places though.
Seems like that larger yacht was just being rude. All of this area is just beautiful, above and below the waterline. Nice to see the family. Why didn't y'all run the a/c if it was so hot? Thanks for another fantastic video.
Well we could have but it’s $120/night so that adds up pretty quick. Problem is as soon as you turn it off it heats straight up again. Best option is to acclimatise or sleep outside.
@@AwanuiNZ Is that $120/night the cost of diesel for the generator or am I missing something? Once you get your solar panels up, you can add capacity to your house battery bank. I've read of people using the a/c that way some.
Totally enjoy your videos and travels, Mark and Fiona! Would you please tell me what product you use to clean the rust off the stainless steel? I’ve used 3M metal polish, which removes the rust but it then returns within months.
I'm laughing at you talking about what you're doing with a light in your other hand pointed in the other direction. Then using the hand without the light to show us what you're doing. It's not a criticism it's just an observation I do s*** like that all the time😂😂😂 anyway keep doing what you're doing. My dream North Haven has always been the 76, then the 68. To be perfectly honest that 51 is not to shabby. It looks to be great loop capable.
Lovely video
Keep them coming please.👏👏👏
Thank you! Will do!

Hey Barry thanks so much I had no idea about that. Great advice I will get onto it. Cool idea with the salt water.
Looks like a great location to dive with a semi-closed rebreather and an opportunity to clean the bottom of the hull
Yes been looking

I thought so David, a special moment indeed. Safe travels.

Haha I was so tempted and wondered if watchers might think of that….got to be a tad careful. Loved Croatia
@@AwanuiNZ forgot to ask: 'what is the name of that SS cleaning product ? Seems to work perfect.
Thank you Fiona and Mark, fair winds.😊
Thank you too!
Thanks for sharing all them great locations with us Mark.
No worries a pleasure

Have them do away with the sump pump pump system and have A Macerato pump directly to the
Too late

Or be much more careful!
Are you guys making it to Slovenia? Its nice, you can see the Alps from the seaside
Sadly no. We are about to head to Italy, Malta and Tunisia

@HelpatHomeJim Yes that’s correct NZ$…can’t wait for solar
It looks hot there, wondering what the reason is for not running your air conditioning?
It’s so expensive and the minute you turn it off it’s hot again so may as well acclimatise. 3.8 Litres an hour so nearly $12NZ

Not now…permanent Bimini on stopping that.
Do you call that transom shower Chewbacca?
Nope…Whaley
Mark, you really shouldn’t be flying over moving cars, many countries have regulations about where you can fly. Ps love the channel.
Fair comment and yes they do
Not being picky but, you don't park a boat, you moor it, and that's not Moo as in cow, it's more as in I want extra. (satire)
Got ya…thanks for da advice
Too many issues for a brand new boat.
You think?
very sad to see your so called 316 is rusting on a 4 month old boat ! perhaps its chinese 316 ???
Most of it is shavings of metal from tooling…once cleaned does not come back
I do not understand….. lolololol
What?
