oh i love Fiona , i was thinking i hope he washed his hands after playing with the toilet , then Fiona says did you wash your hands , im going to miss the banter between you two
Every single video you put out is a great watch. I can't thank you enough for sharing so much of your life and the work it must take to put these videos together. I'm looking forward to the following the rest of your journey.
Hi Mark. Like you, we were sorry to see Fiona leave Awanui NZ for a while. You’re getting very capable at manoeuvring that beautiful ship, the washing machine and drier will come with time, and you’ll have a different adventure for a while. Keep safe. We’re enjoying seeing how the outings unfold. Hope Awanui doesn’t seem too empty without Fiona. Cheers, Starn and Judy
Hey guys great to hear from you and thanks so much. It’s certainly different but manageable. Did my first load of washing (not in 30 years!!) and it worked out fine. Now in Antibes and meeting up with Sean Nixon and Dawn for a couple of weeks. After that Pete Fleming joining me for Christmas….I think I will survive! Take care.
You got this Mark. It’s a slight change of pace but I’m willing to bet it’ll be a good time; different but still good. Before you know it, both you and Fiona will be back into it and recharged for your next adventure. I’m glad I found your channel.
You got this Mark. We are going to follow your journey all the way. I have a brother who moved to Aussie land 15 years ago and we chat every day. The world is a tiny place bcz of the internet.
Been watching you for a while now. Went back and watched all the back catalogue. You got this man. Gonna do the same thing next year. We are with you all the way brother. She is gonna miss looking after you more than you miss her fussing about the place.
Well Mark, not an easy one.... feel for both of you!! But with your cooking skills, a lot of us will be envious of your meals the coming weeks.... A very nice and touching episode. And with your maneuvering skills, there is nothing to worry about anymore....Looking so much forward to see the next episodes!! Good luck sailor!
Awwww….so bittersweet….had tears in my eyes for you both……be safe both of you……nothing is etched in stone…. You can always change your mind….just do what’s best for you both…..take good care….
@@AwanuiNZ stay positive, count your blessings everyday and really get to know yourself. Lots of time to reflect and also to look forward to the future. Benefit from the kindness of strangers…..and…..make sure you keep that bathroom clean!!🤣
Good watch Team. After seven months can you imagine the list of jobs you will have back at Blossom Valley! You will soon get into your own rhythm Mark, but it definitely won’t be the same without your first mate.
@@AwanuiNZ more to stop figeiting and just leave the boat alone, but I have sails so endless room to fuck about. I usually make a mess when i should have left well alone and read a book or slowed down and gone in for the night or something. also never settled to sleep more than 15min with an alarm on overnights... but you have a much nicer set up than me for a snooze on passage. There's a pub in every port if you want to talk to people.. so thats not an issue
All the best to Fiona, don’t worry Mark you will do fine. Your meals looked great, bar the mushrooms 😂. Loving the tuition on the washing machine cleaning off boat. My wife says , before Fiona comes back hire a cleaner for a good deep clean 😂 all the best 🥃🏴
Let the adventure begin - as stated highly recommend wearing a personal locater beacon when on deck along with a life jacket - better to wear if not needed than needed and not worn. Good luck Mark.
It,s great to see "life on a nordhavn"..Your commentary and length of video is fantastic. I am surprised at the number of equipment failures. You are a lucky bugger. Tea Gardens NSW
Another Beauty video Mark and Sweetie. Best wishes for time on your own. Many new discoveries await you Mark I am sure. Have been keeping up to date with the videos. You getting pretty skilled with manoeuvring the Waka. Must be a huge relief to eventually having a CUP of coffee. ❤😢😊
A new chapter. One piece of advice is you must up your safety whilst sailing alone. I always wear a life vest at sea whether alone or not, personal preference. You should always cary a personal locator beacon on your person. Should God forbid anything goes wrong, you won't get a second chance. I enjoy sailing single handed but you must be on top of your game, especially while on deck. I love your videos as especially the Nordhavn is my dream boat. Take care
Go, Mark, you will meet lots of fascinating people. Fiona, we will miss seeing your smile and your witty humour 😉. Keep up the cool vids, Mark. They are awesome. Fiona could send some footage of what she is up to at home and some vids of her recent travels. And by the way, we think you have your dinners sorted. They look yummy.
Thanks for your message we/I feel very supported. I am hoovering through the dinners so need some more provisions again soon. Now in France and the supermarkets here are amazing. Yip will try and get some footage.
Sad and emotional moment when you had to say goodbye, but very brave you shared it. The boat will feel empty and all of a sudden it all comes down to you. Bit of a change, but you will manage. If you feel it becomes too difficult or you are not comfortable, just find a safe place to shelter and recharge your own batteries. Don't take unnecessary risks, it is not worth it. Must say we were laughing again when we saw the cleaning lessons, guess all women and men are the same. I have received the same lessons and was as much interested as you were. 😀 As for talking to technicians in a different language, try google translate. Worked for me in Greece and Turkey if they did not speak English. In any case, you can always apply for one of those cooking shows on TV, doing great. Good luck, happy and safe sailing and also wish Fiona has a great time back home.
hey ;) I dunno really but the Merc was considered a lake boat runner, where as the Evenrude was for Sea, To memory the Merc impellers got shit stuck on them.. Run some "salt away' through the cooling system.. Might help. but replace the impellers anyway.. Just for fun :)

Hi M8, Why don't you use google translate which allows you to use your phone for instant translation to ANY Language, including Italian , Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and even K1w1 to proper English! Enough to cover all of you future European travels!

Thanks so much it was a bit tough. Docked side on for the first time yesterday…went well. No wind though
lids are upside down Mark, foil side down so when you re heat them in the oven. also its easier to mark the contents and date on the paper side.
Realised that…felt a bitnstupid
