Revcons in general are rare; looked at a Revcon Queen (a more traditional FWD MoHo), and they're rare; between 400-500 made over a decade. Great designed MoHos, just tough to get Revcon specific parts. That thing is gorgeous, tough to find them in any shape, let alone this pristine.

Wow, you bought it in our home town of Grand Haven. We saw you on your way to Harbor Freight as we were out and about and remember seeing this super neat camper like we had never seen as we passed you. Never would have thought it was you 3... Glad you made it home.
Took me a minute to see they were in Grand Haven and that Harbor Freight is 5 minutes from my house. Didn't realize a camper like this was hidden localling
I got teary eyed watching this. I just sold my 1995 F350 last week. I purchased it brand new and took delivery 11/4/94. 30 years of memorable service and experiences. I had most of the issues you had, especially the fuel pump only lasting a few months just recently. Wishing you many happy memories and adventures in your Revcon! Oh and I could not find the tires anymore, even used ones here in Texas.
What a dream camper! I thought my partner and I struck gold buying a 1987 Chevrolet G30 cutaway motorhome that had 53000 miles on it. We are currently on the road just south of Salt Lake City after traveling 5000 miles from Alberta Canada, and that's more than enough miles for us! Love the truck, love the energy and will be loving the upcoming videos on this beast!
I'm just amazed at Riley's ability to fix anything. I've had to fix many things on the road. But I can't imagine pulling a fuel pump off in the middle of a store parking lot. How he was able to diagnose and fix that is amazing. Damn you Riley, you make the rest of us not worthy. I tip my cap to you.
He tells you; he used online forums. There are GREAT auto forums for all kinds of autos and of course with Ford being the best selling trucks, there are all kinds of good ones, listing ALL possible issues. I have a couple 9th gen fords and I've contributed to the forums for years.
It’s easy to diagnose because they don’t last very long. They go bad relentlessly. If he was smart he woulda done the -e fuel pump swap. And deleted that pump.
@@fastinradfordable Oh, that would be much wiser. I've got the old 7.3l IDI trucks and that what a lot of us do to those too. Blocked off the old school lift pumps years ago on mine. With the IDI, all you need is a low pressure pump to feed the IP.

LOVE THIS VIDEO! You guys are the bomb. I have lived and worked in motor coaches for over 35 years. Its amazing to have a partner and family who understands that life is an adventure.....sometimes more adventurous than we would like. I'm pretty confident my wife and I saw you guys on the road! We took a couple pictures because, well Obviously, and I just happened to come across your video on RUclips. Watching your travels after seeing you in person makes it all the neater. Congrats to you guys and enjoy!
Plus, it helps when all of the bad parts can be edited out. Editing can make your husband look like a genius. Just edit out the parts where he guesses wrong and go straight to the part where he diagnoses the problem correctly and gets straight to the fix.
I love to watch but I could never be a RUclipsr. As a former OBS diesel owner (mine was stolen 2 years ago) here's a couple tips. You should always syphon the oil out of the HPOP reservoir when doing an oil change and refill it completely with fresh oil. This will help with the longevity of the high pressure oil pump and overall cleanliness of your oil. Also, on the in-tank fuel pickup, it only extends to the bottom of the tank with a nylon scoop/screen. The scoop breaks down with the diesel fuel and needs to be replaced. Symptoms of a bad fuel pickup are inability to access all the fuel in the tank and short life span of your fuel pump because the pickup screen is no longer filtering rust and debris from the fuel. The steel tanks are prone to rust from condensation/water. Best upgrade: convert rear drum brakes to disk brakes. I love the Revcon and hope it brings much joy. 😀
I'm glad someone brought up the fuel pick up. I had the exact same thing happen on the side of the road and couldn't figure it out. I now only run mine to 1/4 tank before I fill it up.
@@moparjr89I thought that was funny also- it does not have an aftermarket F350 tank, it has a tank, probably with a center partition, fabricates by the RF company. Only the cab is Ford, lol!!
Very cool, love the rig. True American, thinking on your feet, can figure stuff out on your own, we always had to do that in the 70's and beyond until computers took over vehicles. You have a beautiful family Oliver is going to have a great life. Thanks for taking me along. Wish you the best.
Unless they are showing signs of sidewall perishing or damage .. they were as good as anything in date. Vintage Latex rubber tyres seem to hold air for ever even after decades standing flat. Just keep WD 40 away from those tyres. It's a fantastic vehicle but it needs debugging ... but that's Ford related.

With my 97 7.3 it was always something, fuel pumps, water pumps, power steering pumps, oil leaks, transmission fluid leaks, every single fluid in that truck leaked regularly. A happy day when I sold that truck with 109k actual miles.
Not an OBS but my 2000 with 167,000 miles that I've owned since 2003 is the most reliable vehicle I've owned in 60 years. I wouldn't think twice about toting a heavy RV across the USA today. YMMV? LATER

We have been travel/camping for 40 years. First in our 68 VW camper and now in our 82 VW camper. Last spring we made the trip from Florida to South Dakota including a stop at Wall Drug. What your video managed to capture for us is the anxiety/stress that goes along with road tripping in a classic vehicle. The #vanlife is videos of waking up and doing yoga at a remote beach. You captured more of the truth. Where can we get parts? Where can we get supplies? Where do we get fuel? Where are we going to camp that night? What's that noise? What's that vibration? All part of the adventure. Great find, thank you for sharing.
I am impressed with your attitude both with the challenges and with each other. I hope you have a long life together. I drove semi long haul for 40 years and my wife and spent our 1st 6 months of marriage hauling produce. January will be 45 years! Happy Trails!

It's fantastic seeing knows someone knowing what they're doing. There's another couple doing a travel video series like this and I watched them the other day stuck in Dubai. Literally the middle of the desert like literally. Flat front tire had no way to fix it. In and overlander truck where you would expect to have everything. And he does it with a smile on his face!
That kid is just amazing!!! No crying even on the plane for the first time! and he just chills.
Cool parents ,cool baby !
knows which film he wants to watch too!
and he seems to do a good job handling the camera.
I was just about to write the same 👍🏼✌🏼 Great minds think alike 🇮🇪🦅🇺🇸
@@music-maker2505 You got that right, Now if we can come together and think up the lotto numbers! :D
Love the road trip mohammed from Kenya 🇰🇪 Nairobi please make one more
We need more Rileys when we go on roadtrips. You are such a good engineer and jack of all trades, it seems you can fix anything. =)
I couldn’t think of anyone else I’d want to road trip with! -Courtney
@ understandable :-) you guys (and gals, and kids, and dogs) are so wholesome, please keep doing you!
You must be a woman.
We need more people who actually learn how to do things themselves like most of us do.
Don't forget Courtney is also a bad a$$ wrenched in her own right! Seriously awesome and talented team.
This may be the most beautiful truck camper I've ever seen in my life🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's gorgeous 😍
Forrealll
I never seen one before but it's good looking/sturdy. It looks like it can handle some rough terrain also. I wonder what kind of gearbox it has.
its a galdarn monster!
Only 67 of these F-350 Revcons were made. I am so jealous.
HO-LEE-CHIT! That’s purdy dadgum rare. 😮
What year was it made?
probably for good reason
Probably expensive 👀🤷🏼♀️😆
@@HughMadBroI saw one on marketplace it might have been this one but the description said it was a 460 not a diesel priced at $125,000
Revcons in general are rare; looked at a Revcon Queen (a more traditional FWD MoHo), and they're rare; between 400-500 made over a decade. Great designed MoHos, just tough to get Revcon specific parts.
That thing is gorgeous, tough to find them in any shape, let alone this pristine.
Love how this vehicle was saved and taken care. How nice it is anyone would love to have this RV.
The engine bay says a lot about the previous owners. They loved this RV and it was their baby.
Enjoy these moments because kids grow up SO fast! Every time the video cuts to Oliver talking and looking at the camera I'm reminded of my baby, who's now almost an adult.
Please allow me to say, after watching this courageous couple for the first time, and with Jr. in tow, I give them so much credit for taking life to a whole new level and wanting to live off the grid free, or at least partially, to make an adventure for themselves. Sincerest wishes, God bless and safety first!
Riley has the coolest wife ever!!! This is the fist video of this channel I have seen. What a great couple and KILLER purchase!!!!
Love your rig Bisket!
I’d love to see her booty
Me 3 I subscribed. That's a really BA unit. They should start making them again I'd buy one.
Oh u have no idea she can do anything as talented as her husband is she is also....check out more of their content she is the perfect women!
A couple things: 1) words cannot describe how awesome a find that Revcon is! 2) I know others have commented on this, but they're all correct, you two have an amazing relationship and it shows. Please bring more adventures in the Revcon and I look forward to more videos from the three of you.
I love how ok Courtney is with EVERYTHING!!!!!!!
You just want her to bob on your bohner
I got teary eyed watching this. I just sold my 1995 F350 last week. I purchased it brand new and took delivery 11/4/94. 30 years of memorable service and experiences. I had most of the issues you had, especially the fuel pump only lasting a few months just recently. Wishing you many happy memories and adventures in your Revcon! Oh and I could not find the tires anymore, even used ones here in Texas.
I hear you. I got my 379 Peterbilt Nov 10 1995. 30 years later still driving it down th highways of America.
I am hoping for a series of videos about upgrading the Revcon.
Hopefully a 6×6 upgrade is in the future for it! Swapping the middle axle to the rear and adding a pass through axle and some lockers would be bad@$$!
You guys are a terrific example of patience, positivity and optimism. I love being able to follow along with your adventures. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
...and a healthy disposable income doesn't hurt. but yes, certainly fun to watch and wish :)
LOVE THIS VIDEO! You guys are the bomb. I have lived and worked in motor coaches for over 35 years. Its amazing to have a partner and family who understands that life is an adventure.....sometimes more adventurous than we would like. Bought a used coach one time and puked the motor 30,000 miles later. Nothing 30k wont fix. ugghhhh. My wife and son were troopers through the whole ordeal.
I'm pretty confident my wife and I saw you guys on the road! We took a couple pictures because, well Obviously, and I just happened to come across your video on RUclips. Watching your travels after seeing you in person makes it all the neater. Congrats to you guys and enjoy!
you kids are a ray of sunshine, capable, energetic, model conduct in every way, glad to have found your channel.
I don't think RUclipsrs realize how much better the videos are when they have to face adversity. I always give it a like. The drama is awesome
Adversity, yeah... this is why a lot of RUclips is fake. Because people only watch "drama" ...and cats...😅
I was in a similar situation recently (breaking down on a road trip with a baby in the car) and the last thing I wanted to do was whip out a camera in the middle of the chaos! Props to these guys for always remaining calm under pressure and documenting it all 👏 couldn’t be me 🤣
@KOK-sc8ez perhaps being an engineer with a wife on hand to handle the child, plus a healthy budget to go buy all the tools and parts would help. Maybe you're not in that position, so trying to film it wouldn't be as possible...
Oh my goodness! You two are my new favorite couple on RUclips! I had never heard of a Revcon, but this motor home is awesome!
Y’all are so impressive. As a guy who loves road trips, but hates breakdowns, this video caused me both a lot of anxiety and a lot of joy in seeing how you handled it. God bless.
New rig...repairs...attitudes...story capture...All Terrific!
I’m not a subscriber, but probably will be, this was a great adventure, but truly what I appreciated the most with seeing the love between the two of you, and just how much you care for each other. it’s so refreshing to see a loving couple together enjoying life

Dude, you are "SO" patient and well-versed on diesel maintenance. This is great information. Thank you for taking the time to film and edit so we can enjoy the adventure with you!!
Your struggles / challenges and how you deal with them is what makes this channel great!!!!!
You got a love the smell of diesel.

Hello from Ireland, Riley/Courtney. I'm Liam, I own a motorbike dealership in Ireland. I'm a new subscriber. What a Beast of a Motor home, guys. We don't have anything like that over here. You must be so happy with your new project. And no major problems that you, Riley could not fix. I'm so happy for you both. Keep up the adventure. 🥰🙏🙏👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
i'm just amazed at the constant ability to Buy whatever ya find be it a Truck, excavator, skid steer , Motor home, Conex to build storage or a tiny home.. i'm Envious. So please don't take this as a Negative comment.. i'm Glad y'all can do what ya do and are willing to share it with Us.. Keep up the good work..
Got to be one of the coolest motorhomes ever made. Will say the white letter tires looked 10 times better on there though.
What a great purchase and Riley you sorted the problems with ease your real cool. Now you are back home you can spend time going over the vehicle and checking everything. Loved Courtney’s smiling all the 2000 miles with the exception of when you were broken down.
❤️💙💙 xxx
Wow, very cool you guys! I love your new RV! Riley, I’m sure glad you know how to fix things. But of course we all knew that. looking forward to hearing what’s happening with the house build. Glad you are all home safe and sound.
She really is a beauty! Plus those “older” trucks are great being able to work on them in parking lots. That really would be my dream camper home.
I now only run mine to 1/4 tank before I fill it up.
it has aftermarket tanks
@@moparjr89 Your observation power continues to serve you well.
This. A fuel sump (hutch mod) is a great fix.
@@moparjr89I thought that was funny also- it does not have an aftermarket F350 tank, it has a tank, probably with a center partition, fabricates by the RF company. Only the cab is Ford, lol!!
I love how supportive you guys are to each other!!! Great video
That was one of your most incredible videos I’ve ever watched. you’re able to fix anything and everything
You guys are so fun! Courtney and Oliver are such troopers! Your upbeat attitude is addicting! Love love LOVE the motorhome! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
#1 awesome wife always cleaning tools and tarp and whatever.
That matters a huge amount.
Kudos woman.
Very impressed with your mechanic skills and troubleshooting!!!!!! Also your patience is epic. I love the truck!!!!
Very cool, love the rig. True American, thinking on your feet, can figure stuff out on your own, we always had to do that in the 70's and beyond until computers took over vehicles. You have a beautiful family Oliver is going to have a great life. Thanks for taking me along. Wish you the best.
I miss those old school raised white letter tires. Those gave it a great vibe. Love the look of the motor home, and waiting for more videos with it.
And now a days Change your tires, put new rings on too .
i have seen this rig in Holland MI state park several times over the years. Its so crazy that I found your channel and this rig again. I'm so glad that its in good hands and I might not see it in MI again but can watch your adventures here. Safe travels.
When i saw him turning left off Felch st onto west shore drive, I was wtf they are in Holland lol. Ive never watched these people before RUclips and first video is in Holland
You actually saw my parents' Revcon! We camp there every year. Did you ever get "the tour" of the motorhome like so many other people did? If you didn't, and you see it this upcoming summer, feel free to stop and talk to my parents. 😊
You guys prove that people can be married and not want to scream out every second! You guys work so well together it is almost other-worldly!
Patience, positive attitude and a stunning diagnostic sense and no trouble attitude for the issues you came across. People like you win in life.
Glad you changed the crank position sensor. I'd suggest changing all the sensors. I saw that for sale and was very tempted. Glad you got it.
I've been around 7.3s long enough to know to carry a few spare parts in the glove box 😂
@@AmbitionStrikes Sorry, the replacement glove box is a Dealer-Only item*.
*6 week back order.
Injector o rings for sure. The 7.3 is still the best. 15 year 7.3 owner. Nice rig. Enjoy.
YMMV?
LATER
@@markturner5207if you bought brand new Motorcraft or International parts only they will last 5x longer than any aftermarket rebiilt Chinese crap. Especially alternators, starters, water pumps etc.
Oh yea engines that have 900 different expensive internal and external issues sure is nice.
@@rodmacd8357 sorry dude, they no longer make oem parts for a 27 year old truck.
I've learned in life that it's not the destination that matters... I've also learned that the worst trips are always the most memorable.

Think all of us would like a Riley to travel with us on road trips .
I loved going along with your family!

Thank you so much for taking us along on your excellent adventure. The new camper is a hit👍
As a retired motor vehicle lecturer I’m totally impressed with both his attitude and his ability. Good luck to a lovely positive couple.
Just discovered your channel. Great video, great adventure. Now I'm gonna binge watch!
Love that Riley can fix anything! What a great camper! You can use this at your house building site!
Oliver was so cute talking! What a trip! Nice to travel across US and see all the great sites! Thanks for the video!
Riley cracked me up when Courtney said there was smoke and he said the engine light is not on. The eyes and ears always win over tech.
It's fantastic seeing knows someone knowing what they're doing. There's another couple doing a travel video series like this and I watched them the other day stuck in Dubai. Literally the middle of the desert like literally. Flat front tire had no way to fix it. In and overlander truck where you would expect to have everything. Some folks should just stay home, but these folks are clear going at it right
I'm so impressed with how fast you diagnosed and fixed the truck. I have a Subaru Outback 2005 and it's just a game of "what breaks next?" 😂😂.
Also, you guys have really good taste in electronic music.
This is my favorite vehicle on the internet!! I know it would be a huge project but I would love to see a true 6x6 conversion on this truck
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about! Moving the middle axle to the rear, and getting a pass through, and adding lockers would be bad@$$!
@@wesman7837 It's still far too big to matter. The length would cause it to frame out. Some of the high elevation Rockies passes would be impossible as you need to 6 to 8 point turn some of those in Colorado even in a short version lifted Sunrader that's nowhere near the size of this thing.
Dudes living life, just clicked on your page to watch another video, and realized, I've been watching you guys for years! Subscribed.
As an OBS 7.3 Powerstroke driver... that rig is a BAMF! I love that engine pretty simple to work on once you know your way around it. I have the old Mechanical pump like that and E fuel set up is on my list of upgrades. I am from the greater Spokane area and it is awesome to see content creators from the general area... I stumbled across the log splitting video last week and been fully enjoying the content since. Keep it up.
I really wish more Revcons were built. I really love the overall design. I think they would have done better if they offered different sizes. I would have LOVED to get one that's the same overall length as a crew cab long bed, with a single dually axle.
A slightly smaller version would be perfect because this thing feels like a mansion inside!
Yeah just like the preferred Sunrader was the shorter version. Well if you were going to lift it, aftermarket parts, motor swap the long version would still be unable to go the places that Sunroamer Overland (Brad) takes his in Colorado.
As long as you keep the maintenance up and take care of that 7.3 that's a million mile motor. Oliver is growing so fast.

Riley is a Swiss Army knife, this man seems able to build or fix anything. And that camper is awesome. Nice wheel choice.
Only thing I would change about the tires is I would've gone with raised white lettering....other than that pretty awesome
Thats an awsome woman you got for sticking with you while you guys were doing this project and all the while keeping a smile on her face.
Did you know that there were only 67 Revcons ever built? What an awesome score!
With that many only built then a new rolling chassis would be ideal for it then.

I love how many skills this couple has. I would love to know half as much as they do - this is my new inspiration in life - to learn as many skills as I can!
I grew up on a farm in Southern Ontario, Canada. Curds taste their best when the curds are fresh and warm. When they are refrigerated. curds start to turn to cheese. Fresh curd is squeaky, warm and salty. With beer, they are an excellent snack.
