In the 1980s, in my childhood and youth, I raced bikes in the environment of communist socialism. It was a great adventure to get some quality parts back then. You can certainly imagine the feeling when you managed to catch a great piece! And I still get that same feeling now as I hunt around the world for frames, parts and bikes' accessories from the 70's to the 90's to restore the bikes I used to race or dream of in my youth. Memories return and love remains. Bikes are simply passion for life.

Why you use carbon paste grip for bottom bracket?
And why not? I press the plastic bowl into the carbon, so I put the carbon paste in between, it seems right to me.
this frame oh its unique, like one ring! hope someone will ride a lot with this bike, it doesnt stay on window displays and i hope i can afford one day.

Las ruedas de acero clásicas tienen un alma que ha desaparecido con las ruedas de carbono (todo parece igual). Me encantan todas las bicicletas nuevas y viejas y ahora, sobre todo, mi Ritchey... es la mejor que he visto en mi vida.

as much as i like modern bikes with integrated cables, etc., they are nowhere near as beautiful as a 70s/80s steel bike with gleaming chrome 🙂

Love the video and another excellent bike build! I just finished building up an early 80s Picchio Special with aero tubing that I had repainted a candy red metallic. Stunning frame to which I installed a combination of 11-speed Campy Super Record controllers and rear derailleur in carbon with the rest of the components being silver 11-speed Athena Finsted off with a polished fluted NOS Campy seat post, black 3ttt stem & handlebar, and 9-speed Campy Record Titanium hubs with polished H Plus Sons Archetype rims. Gorgeous bike and rides beautifully. My previous build to this was an early 90s Zullo (fully restored) to which I added a full silver 11-speed Athena group and 10-speed Chorus hubs and the same HPS Archetype rims. These old frames wonderfully take to modern component groups. I have a garage shop/man cave and have your videos on a loop as I work on my bikes, LOL.

Beautiful bike. I have always wanted a fine Italian racing bike, but it is almost impossible to find one in a 62/63 cm frame. They just didn't build too many large frames, and it doesn't matter what brand Masi, Benotto, De Rosa etc etc. . Why oh why can't I ever find one in my size? What Reynolds tube did they use on this bike?

Nice quality builds! I bought a same color favorite last winter as this, but im wondering what model it is? The frame looks older and only difference i can see to this direclty is that the frame attachment to the seat tube is more rounder.

I use only original Campagnolo cages, they work flawlessly, the others are not good and that's why I put separate bearings. Yes, there are more. Thank you for watching the video.

the flared handlebar took me by surprise but in the end, a very beautiful dream build!
The handlebars are very comfortable, but after the first ride against the wind, I immediately changed them from classic road ones. I will keep these for Swiss Cross. Thanks for watching the video and support.
Beautiful work! Do you have any recommendations for similar greases as the black one you apply to the bottom bracket threads and bearings? This stuff seems much heavier than more 'regular' bike grease
