  • Today's video is a lot more complex than usual. I bought a Moser AX Leader at incomplete Campagnolo C record, slightly rusted.
    So, this time I will not only disassemble the bike, clean it and put it back together as always, but I also have to deal with the peeling chrome and finally repaint parts of the frame. For a perfect result, I took the parts to the last screw apart, cleaned them, polished them, greased them and put them back together. I hope you enjoy this extensive restoration with me.
    Neváhejte mě kontaktovat ohledně restaurování a staveb silničních kol.

    Great work as always! Moser bikes look classy. I had the chance to visit Mr. Moser at his wine farm earlier this year. Very memorable day, including a showing of his old race bikes at his showroom. Keep up the good restoration work!

      I think his first batch of bikes were lugged construction. Later on he started fillet brazing tubes which I remember reading back in the 90s was SUPER time consuming and tricky to build. Always lusted for an AKI Gipiemme brazed Oria frame back then!

    Very impressive work. I would love to have a Vintage bike from the 80s just to hang on my wall as a piece of art and maybe take out for the occasional ride but I don't have room for any more bikes.

      Thank you very much for your support, think about what you'll throw away to make room for an 80' bike! These bikes are very comforting to look at and ride. You can't hear anything while driving, nothing forces you to keep shifting (because the shifting levers are far away and there are few gears) Very soothing...I recommend it.

    Another outstanding build. I would happily watch two episodes of a build if the first episode included more of the restoration process of the frame and parts. Always looking for tips!

      Thank you for your strong support, I don't know how much of the cleaning and polishing work is still interesting and how much is getting boring? I'm an amateur in video editing and I'm trying it.

    Typically I love your work, I still do actually, and I don't like to be a critic, especially when it's not something I own, but that's going to drive me nuts knowing you left that one rear leg red instead of re-chroming it...

    • @OnRoadVintageBikes
      @OnRoadVintageBikes  11 месяцев назад +4

      Reasons why I painted it instead of re-chroming it? 1: I don't know anyone who would chrome it well. 2. I would have to repaint the frame and destroy the original, very well-preserved paint. My decision is therefore like this.

    • @goodvibes5487
      @goodvibes5487 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@OnRoadVintageBikes there is chrome paint also. but you're right, your bike, your decision. It looks great otherwise.

    Amazing build, how did you manage to make campagnolo so shiny?

    • @OnRoadVintageBikes
      @OnRoadVintageBikes  Год назад +1

      Thanks for support. Disassemble, clean and polish all parts. I bought new cranks because the original ones were short, they were already polished and someone also sanded the anodizing, which is why they are unnaturally shiny.

    Dobrý den chtěl bych se vás zeptat kde berete galusky. Potřípadě jetli by bylo možné 1 pár odkoupit, taky mám PBWčka ale zpuchřelá a nedrží tlak a na internetu jich moc není, když už tak v bídném stavu.

      Dobrý den , všechny díly na stavby vintage kol sháním po celém světe po bazarech, ebay atd. Pár galusek jsem víceméně dostal od známých a zdroj na staré /nové Barum galusky nemám. Používám novodobé Vittoria strada z Decathlonu, vypadají dobově dobře. Děkuji za sledování videa.

      Omlouvám se, pokud to vyznělo nějak nepatřičně. Jsem už stará škola, na kole jezdím od roku 1959, v letech 1972-1983 jsem to zkoušel i závodně na silnici, a v té době se v souvislosti s koly nikdy o žádných peckách nemluvilo, možná mi ale něco uniklo, možná mě kluci z Dukly opraví. Jinak krásné video, pastva pro oči! Muselo to dát hodně práce natočit a ustříhat. Máte ponětí, z kterého roku tenhle krasavec pochází? Tipoval bych konec 80. let...
