Good as new, another 30 years service. I always say the joy of cycling is only determined by the efficiency of the bike not how new it is or what its made out of.
I took a break from restoring the Ural bicycle from the USSR, fighting an unequal battle with seized screws. I'm browsing the depths of the Internet and come across your recently uploaded video. Immediately the inspiration returned. Greetings from Poland.
I also have one Future projekt - obtained one old road frame. Haven't started yet, but as you say "good inspiration". I love the feelings when I finish. To give new life to sth what almost ended in scrapyard = Priceless❤
Im kinda new to cycling, well actually I got back into it after 20 years, not to diminish your great work but there wasnt much to restore in the first place
I redid a handmade Bianchi. I love it. And yes, it was a quite old frame, 300 mm rear end. 100 mm front end. 7 speed and it is beautiful. I don't Miss A 12 speed . And yes, it's a steel frame. I love the steel.
Great Video, I enjoyed very much that you displayed all steps in detail. One question to COMET: assuming that the original rear hub had a width of 126mm, you did have to widen the rear triangle in order to fit the 11s rear wheel hub, is that right? thx
When I started to see this video I thougth to myself " oh my god another beginner destroyeing a bike" but when I saw campagnolo groupset I said to myself "this man knows what it is doing" and rigth, he knows.
Very nice upgrade and restoration. I am doing something similar upgrading my 95 Marinoni from 8 speed Athena with other upgrade components to the beautiful silver 11 speed Centaur. Also going from Mavi Open Pros to Camapgnola Scirrocos.
Honestly I think every bike deserves to be repaired some see bikes as a tool or even there only form of transportation they are more the a recreational thing. Bikes are awesome.
Beautiful work! Love the build. I have a question. I own a 2007 Lemond Buenos Aires road bike. Is it viable to put a modern 105 or Ultegra group set on it?
Nice video. At 0:45 You are not obliged to take out the pin if you want to reuse the chain because it's qite difficult to plae it back in place. The best is to count the turns of screw that you give : approx. 4.5 turns to keep the pin just in the link. Maybe the bike is just too modern after in my opinion.
I see a lot of specialty tools being used I had to watch that bottom bracket come apart I was just waiting for the junk to come out. I have a lot of the tools I saw spanner wrenches etc. I don’t think new bikes even use anything like that anymore.
Is this a rhetorical question? This beauty has been barely used, so it is worth every single drop of sweat. Mix of Campy, Shimano and Suntour parts is typical for this period.
Uncle gave me this bike when he got a new bike back in the 90’s. Rode it everywhere for years until the colored kids stole it from Burger King while I was eating.
So let's see. You took apart a great old bike and replaced perfectly good components with new components that don't match the frame. I'm not seeing the magic here. Neither a repair nor a restoration.
Thank you for watching this video.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment.❤
Muy.buena.bicicleta

What a beautiful bike, love the old steel frames so comfy rides

As Akella said in the Soviet cartoon: it was a good battle. I am now in the middle of the restoration of the 1959 V-33 "Tourist" made in the USSR.
I also have one Future projekt - obtained one old road frame. Haven't started yet, but as you say "good inspiration". I love the feelings when I finish. To give new life to sth what almost ended in scrapyard = Priceless❤
Perfect groupset for a beautiful frame

Complimenti ottimo lavoro 👋👋👋👏👏👏
Beautiful restoration ❤

A 300mm rear end? That seems very unlikely.
I'm sure he ment 130mm rear hub spacing not 300
This is therapy.
I appreciate that you have no problem hitting something with a hammer 👌

Repair?! looked newer than all my bikes at the start 😅
Definitely!

3:35 - A few minutes in and, wow, that's a diverse set of components.
I usually bin caged bearings for loose bearings also get more bearings installed as well.
Beautiful bike! Great job! What bar tape did you use?
Una bellissima Bicicletta 🤩❤️

Bravo veske majstore.
lovely rebuild as always. I'm so glad you didn't strip and repaint that awesome frame, but why didn't you reuse the crankset which is just fantastic?
Nice 90s Bike 🤩
Amazing !!!!
Preciosa bici. Enhorabuena🎉 Cuadros de acero forever. Compartimos hobby. 😊
Excellent video. Thank you. I would have named it 30Year Old Italian Bicycle - Upgrade. But nevertheless the content is superb.
😌
Nice!
hhe should just make it into a fixed gear or something or add sti?
Did you have to reset the rear dropouts to take the 130mm hub? Why did you remove the Columbus sticker? Why did you take out the headset races?
If it´s a premier set of Columbus tubing, yes, it´s worth restoring. Rgr
I have an old olmo I picked up years ago that had been resprayed badly I'm thinking of stripping all the components and redoing the paint and stickers
montaggio spettacolareeeee
What a beauty ❤
had to be campag for a beautiful italian frame 👌still think a rolls saddle maybe 🤔lovely restore 🚴wish I still had some of my old classics.
Nice video.
Saludos!
Cuánto peso la bicicleta ya restaurada?
Ya se extrañaban tus videos
Definitely worth
Given that's a Rossin then yes of course its worth restoring. I have a couple with Potenza, nice machines.
How is it possible, the condition of parts of the bike is nearly perfect after 30 years life. İt is really true, the quality is not expensive.
I missed you so much😘🥲
Yes worth it class bike
LEMBRE-SE !
ITENS DE SEGURANÇA, NÃO SE RESTAURA.
"SE MELHORA"
SEGURANÇA EM PRIMEIRO LUGAR.
Linda demais
Nice video.

Che spettacolo
Can you do a fixed gear one? I really love fixed gear bikes because they're so simple and clean, no cables and brakes just plain bicycle.
If i get a chance, I will upload a video.

👍❤️
NICE i want it
The shape of that bike frame is like the manila animal jeprox😊🎉
tops
👏👏👍
🎉
😮😮👍👍👍
They don't make bikes like that anymore.

Before the bike I need to get the tools 😅
The old chainring was better? Why change it
Gonna sell it?
Nice
Mmm .. that bike hadn't spent much time on the rubbish heap. Nice result even so.
Any Rossin is worth fixing
😘
Cassette looks dirty after the lube. You need parafin wax of cause
Emang sepedanya sudah bagus. 😂😂😂
Will you please give away any road bikes please
No, send it to me please and thank you.
Uncle gave me this bike when he got a new bike back in the 90’s. Rode it everywhere for years until the colored kids stole it from Burger King while I was eating.
Give me bike bro
And not a communist grey looking carbon tube in sight.
Is your goal not to spend any $ because I woulda probably just replaced the bearings at least. But your very meticulous.
Nope.
So let's see. You took apart a great old bike and replaced perfectly good components with new components that don't match the frame. I'm not seeing the magic here. Neither a repair nor a restoration.
Can i have it?
