- In this video I introduce my new bike for the 2024 season. The main theme is maximum comfort while maintaining a decent weight, speed and agility. The steel frame by iconic bike builder Tom Ritchey is simply love at first sight. The Campagnolo groupset makes a very pleasing type of gear shifting for me and the combination of carbon, titanium and aluminium has a favorable weight. I played around with some very nice and relatively light aluminium wheels with Novatec hubs and Javax rims, but in the end the "Shamals" passed me by and I couldn't eventually resist...! Look pedals probably don't need an introduction, after all it was Look who invented this road bike decades ago and what else do you want to put on to play nice with Campy. :-)

V tomto videu vám představím své nové kolo na sezonu 2024. Hlavním motivem je maximální pohodlí při zachování slušné váhy, rychlosti a ovladatelnosti. Ocelový rám ikonického tvůrce Toma Ritcheyho, to je prostě láska na první pohled. Sada Campagnolo zachovala mně velmi příjemný typ řazení převodů a v kombinaci karbonu, titanu a duralu má i příznivou váhu. Zapletl jsem si moc pěkná a poměrně lehká hliníková kola s Novatec náboji a Javax ráfky, ale nakonec kolem mě procházely "Šamaly" , kterým jsem nemohl odolat, tak mám prostě dvoje kola! Look pedály asi nemusím představovat, jednak to byl Look, který tuto lahůdku na silniční kola před desetiletímy vymyslel a co jiného chceš dát ke Campě aby se to nepopralo:-) Váha celého kola je těsně nad osm kilo.

Nice choices Marek, loads of fun to be had as this will do it all. Climb like a scalded cat, descend like a train and take admiring compliments in the cafe 😀. Had to be Campagnolo 👍…….. SR 12 and Shamals. Have fun 👍
Thank you! I'm getting more and more excited about this bike! It has everything that makes an older cyclist like me happy. It's quiet, it's great to drive, it's comfortable and it drives almost effortlessly. You ride it and you have to smile...I love it!
@@OnRoadVintageBikes Yes agree all as 61 year old currently discovering the joy of 7 Spd DA on a 7.5kg early 1990’s 531 classic. Smooth, quiet, comfortable and will fly when asked……..only limitations …..me the rider 😂. Happy rides 👍

Can't wait! I have a 2004 BMC SLT01 with SRAM 10-speed Red that I will be rebuilding in April with 12-speed Super Record.

Very nice bike - and the weight is also very decent. One thing I noticed, though: Campagnolo strictly advises against using washers between the crank arm and the pedal. And the steerer tube might get scratched by the cables - I have learnt this the hard way myself. I would put some protective transparent tape around these spots.
Thank you for the warning, I will remove the pads. And I will stick the frame with protective stickers.

the flared handlebar took me by surprise but in the end, a very beautiful dream build!
The handlebars are very comfortable, but after the first ride against the wind, I immediately changed them from classic road ones. I will keep these for Swiss Cross. Thanks for watching the video and support.
Beautiful build, love it ! Just over 18 lbs for a steel frame and modern gruppo is awesome ! Same weight as my Merlin titanium with older Mavic 8 speed components. Top notch work as always ! 👏👏👏

I put this group set on my old Scott CR-SL with a couple of differences. I opted for the 50/34 &11/34 and the super record chain. I love the hoods and the brakes are the best I've ever had. I thinkI prefer the record 10 gear changing though.
I have a few bikes with Campa 10s and I love them, but the new 12s levers just hold up so much better. I wanted a 50/34 but it was out of stock. Thank you for watching the video.

@@OnRoadVintageBikes 2024 Ritchey Road Logic/rim brake: I run 30C wrapped around HED Ardennes Plus - front and rear. My runs 32C on same rims.
Wrong way of using torque wrench, stop when you feel/heard the click and not continuing to turn the wrench.
