  • In the last video, we completely disassembled a 10-15 year old Colnago Master that belongs to a fan of our RUclips channel from Austria. After hours of work, we have the frame and parts cleaned, newly greased and polished, so we can start the build. I have to repeat myself once again that the Colnago Master is one of my favorites and I think is the best steel frame of the last century. It looks perfect and drives just as well! Thank you for your endless support of my work, I am glad I can share the joy of a well done restoration with you. As always, looking forward to your thought in the comments. Please click to subscribe.
V minulém videu jsme si do šroubku rozebrali nějakých 10-15 let odložené Colnago Master, které patří fanouškovi našeho RUclips kanálu z Rakouska.

Good work! Your cable guide touch-up on the top tube looks to have turned out OK. The Campagnolo monoplaner brakes are still my favorite when it comes to looks and performance.

@@OnRoadVintageBikes I’ve followed your work for several years and know that as well as being a very talented mechanic you’re also a very modest person, so ……yes you do deserve the highest praise ……….remember that RD hanger machined insert and re-thread ? ……. You’re a mechanics mechanic . Chapeau 👍

@@OnRoadVintageBikes Wow, this is something interesting to hear! I have Campagnolo Veloce on my bicycle, the brake calipers look the same - I've also noticed, that they are braking incredibly well.

I love Colnagos. You did an excellent job on this one, in my opinion. I was watching carefully and you completed every step exactly the way I would have. Superb attention to detail. WELL DONE SIR!

Beautiful re construction and great production.
Must say being a bit picky that it is not a faithful restoration to the first gen master- reasonably assuming that the "fan" ordered this. A little sad at this decision.
    Top result though!!!
Am restoring a first gen myself and planning to keep 100% faithful as best able, including tub tires and gruppo from that era. Aware that this is not always achievable.
    Well done though.

[ Superbe Pro shifts better than both Record or Chorus ] 1st gen Record C cranks are the most beautiful ever , " modern" Record pro fit pedals match them perfectly, 1st ed Record C hubs with 2000 era smooth Campy titanium skewers also look perfect . Delta brakes look too bulky, I chose Chorus 1st ed monoplanar brakes with Record C 2nd ed levers with the sliding pins for wheel changes rather than cobaltos . Prefer the look of Regal saddles with copper rivets rather than the Rolls . My all Campy silver aluminum Alan mixes time periods and] gruppos a bit but looks great and still has aesthetic integrity.
