I have a 1970 Cutlass Supreme M20 4 speed made in the first week of October 1969 in Lansing. It’s a QV with the 7040250 carb and small cam from factory. Strangely, no A/C, power brakes or power steering on mine.

Good morning. We really appreciate this information. Yours sounds like a very interesting car. and, for sure yours was built prior to the debut of the "QB" coded L74's But a supreme with no comfort options but with an L74 and stick.- very cool. Mine has the SE code 3.23 open rear end. The 3.08 was standard with the M20 and the 3.23 open was a no charge upgrade. It’s Sherwood green with white vinyl top, ivory interior (which was black and white two tone). It also has a center console, AM radio and SS1 wheels. I bought the car from the original who saved up money and paid cash for it but had to go stingy with the options the stay within budget. His friend bought a ‘69 442 4 speed new and couldn’t afford the insurance on it and had to sell about a year later. The friend told this guy to get one of the basic cutlass models with a small block and 4 speed to beat the insurance costs of the time. Must’ve been good advice since he owned it for 48 years. He liked the formal roofline of the Supreme and went that route.

I see they do have aftermarket fenders for the 70-72 ish years however I personally have not looked at one within my hands,, I wonder what the bracing is like on those and if its new where did they get them and who stamped those out... and if there is bracing then someone is doing them and why are they not out there for the general public to purchase. Good morning and we thank you for taking the time to watch. I honestly really like this rotisserie. If I can recall properly, there may have been someone from Eastwood who thought I might have issues getting it mounted without coming up with something. It may have even said in the paperwork that depending on your model car, there may be some additional mounts required. Really wasn't a big deal at all. Anyway, we appreciate the complement and look forward to hearing from you again. Stay Tuned, -steve

i think I would have bought a rust free Cutlass S body, riveted in the correct VIN tag and cowl tags with factory rivets and mounted the body onto the numbers matching frame. The car would still have the proper DNA and it would be a lot less work and maybe feel more solid. Not criticizing your excellent work, very cool.

Good morning and Thank You for you so much for taking the time to watch some of build. Yes, honestly that's what many others suggested too. I truly feel that this will be a big feather in our cap, saving the otherwise "un savable" I appreciate your compliment - " if you think you hate in now, wait until you see it " hahaha Thanks again for watching and welcome aboard... -steve

Hi and Thank You so much for taking the time to watch. I tend to agree that with only a few color options, that particular model may have sold much better. This brings up a very interesting topic..... Special models with one paint scheme vs. those with a selection. Might be enough there for another video. In the meantime, welcome aboard and please help spread the word. -steve

that w31 rallye 350 crap is a stupid tall tale started by a dummy years ago.there was a green QB cutlass that low 14s in pure stock, was sold at mecum for 45k,i believe

Good morning. Yeah I think the QB stick / QV auto difference may be part of where some the confusion stemmed from. That green QB Cutlass is a great example of a QB coded car isn't it? Thanks for watching as always. -steve
