    12:33 lets get honest the Dive Rite XT1/XT4 regs are spot on for price, made in the US, cold water performance even for ice diving and Dive Rite will sell anyone spare parts kits. Hell of a lot more than we can say for failing Apex these days where spare parts are not readily available as they once were. If you have the skill set you can preform your own maintenance on Dive Rite regs. Just need to offer that as a quality option. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter

    I was at Deception pass on Washington state. Had a current was strong even at slack. Had a down current down to 73' then an up current. I was trying to slow myself down. Computer was pissed. I was on Nitrox and the dive was super quick. Turned my head and had water injected into my reg from the exhaust valve. The down and up had me breathing hard so I probably had a CO2 loop going. Lucky no bends.

    Duuuuude, you totally need to get a 3d Printer. Bambulab has a nice offer for a very good out of the box printer for around 200 bucks. The a1 mini. Order some additional PETG filament and a coated PEI plate and no need to do DIY stuff like this. You can overengineer the shit out of everything to your liking. With a bit of enthusiasm you can also get to print ASA which is highly UV light and water resistant. Just saying.

      Hey bro. No fear! I have the 3xl and the socks are the same as the 2xl (they actually say 2xl on them) and I wear a size 14 normally. I use size 15 hollis canvas boots, the suit doesn't come with boots. You can also use neoprene boots with them, that's a pretty popular option. lol, I would agree based on some of the CLS courses I've seen. Our course was wild, recognized as the best in the army at one point (by the army times, lol). Arty and 50 sims during the lanes, low crawl through mud under "barbed wire", actual egress with casualties in skedcos down a muddy hill, and we still taught IVs back then. It's fun to watch students struggle to maintain a sterile field when they're covered head to toe in mud. Shit was tight. With my team we certified an entire brigade twice during my 3 years with the 25th. So im pretty proud of it, I wish more people took it as seriously as we did.

    • @DiveVibe
      @DiveVibe 20 дней назад

      Hi! It's definitely a little older at this point. The only other small camera that panasonic has that housings are made for is the lx100 II and nauticam makes it. So it ends up being pretty expensive as both the camera and housing are more expensive. Other options would be the new canon g7x III or a Sony RX100. Those are both a bit more expensive, but isotta makes nice housings for them and they're much more modern. I hope that helps!

    Zach there is a current thread on Scuba Board absolutely ripping Divextras customer service and the Blacktip as well. Everything from seized propeller shafts to complete implosions. Whats your current take? Has the company been sold or what? what do you hear?

    • @DiveVibe
      @DiveVibe Месяц назад

      They had a bad batch of tubes that resulted in some implosions, that was all addressed by DiveX at the beginning of the year. DiveX has had some folks that try to use their warranty after disassembling the tail unit, which voids the warranty. I imagine they might be pretty upset about that, but you shouldn't void your warranty if you ever plan on using it. I will steer clear of that drama as I do not know the whole story. My 1st blacktip has performed perfectly since I got it at launch, other than my handle breaking when they had a bad batch of those, but they sent me a new one at no charge. I have a second one now that has also never had a problem. I've seen one seized prop shaft on a buddy's scooter and DiveX fixed it.

    You asked so my two cents as someone that watches a few scuba youtube channels like DiveTalk, Azul Unlimited, Dive Saga, and a handful of random folks just posting their POV dives: Don't do reaction videos to videos of other people. I do like reaction videos, however, the model doesn't make a bunch of sense to me because the content on the channel is dependent on the quality and availability of videos other make for you to react to. Truly my favorite reaction videos from DiveTalk are the ones they do of their dives. I get it though that to react to your own videos you have to have the time and availability to film content and that is such a large ask for scuba especially I imagine if you are being a guide/instructor all day and that content may not be filmable. Something constructive and additive: You are good at just talking to camera, and you live somewhere that I want to see more dive footage of with someone who knows the area. Not sure how to balance being a professional scuba dude with putting out YT content though seems like there aren't quite enough minutes in an hour for that or even hours in the day.

    i use them for over a year now in Europe (Greece ) ive done over 500 dives on them 2-3 daily as is my job..and regs are amazing not to mention about abuse ??? i took them on a commercial trip that we did on scuba, bang them on tools rocks etc they still hold strong and we finish together the scuba season. I dived them in uk at Capernwray on 6 Celsius they breath absolutely as it should!!! i have Poseidon xstrems on sm conf they gave me headache at every dive.i used in uk apex xl4 they was ok i have aqualung titan lx it is ok..but the nex they are on a different level
