    Thanks for the video. I am looking for a camera I can mount to the transom of the boat and watch in Real-time to locate wrecks to dive immediately. Does this camera only record for later viewing or can it real-time transmit to my phone or laptop? If it doesn't do you or any of your subscribers / viewers know of anything on the market I can use?? - Thank you, Wes

      My "workin" knife is a spyderco atlantic salt. It's a folder, but it will get through big line in a hurry. I always carried it when we rigged the fireworks barge for new years eve, last thing I want is a dull knife when i've gotta de-foul a prop as we slowly drift towards an actively detonating commercial fireworks display. or atleast that was the nightmare I always had, loool. It's one of the best knives you can get for uw use, very popular with commercial divers. www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C89BK/Atlantic-Salt-trade-Black-FRN/173

    • @tobiashartung856
      @tobiashartung856 24 дня назад

      @@DiveVibe Yep, most of our caves require a bit of walking. Porth Yr Ogof has the car park on top of a cliff with the dive base at the bottom, so you need to carry your tanks down a path on the cliff. Pwll,-y-cwm is about a quarter mile to walk from where I tend to park the car. One of the well-accessible mines is about 1km from the car park and a bit over a quarter mile from the closest point you can get to by car. Most of the caves/mines in the UK require at least a small hike. Let me know if you're coming over here. Happy to dive with you!

    Unfortunately, as we know, no matter how trained you are no matter how many certificates you have, no matter your experience level or instructor status, divers die tragic deaths all the time. No matter what their level of experience. So watch this video with a grain of salt. Also understand that just because you took a course does not mean Jack squat. This is true across the board in almost all skilled trained courses whether it's college or technical college or scuba diving or skydiving, or just I mean any possible subject matter you can think of. Just taking a course like he mentions at about 1 minute and 45 seconds is not the answer. The answer is actually applying and using because you understand what you learned in the course. You understand how to apply what you learned in the course. Then you actually apply it when it comes time to apply it. There's like three levels beyond just taking a course. There's understanding, then there's applying, and then there's actually putting it into action when you go into a dive. So tired of people talking about being the skilled trained divers etc etc. That means nothing. You actually have to apply it because so many people make so many different mistakes after taking their supposed 'course' or being some high level trained diver. Just taking the chorus is like a soft warm and fuzzy and now all of a sudden you're capable of doing an advanced dive? No. Absolutely not. That's actually the novice perspective to have and it leads to a lot of mistakes. When we communicate about the important safety skills of any potential dangerous activity, you have to be super clear not just spit out mumbo jumbo, all the warm and fuzzies to make it sound like you know what you're talking about. @4:06 he claims one of the divers is an instructor. That's the silliest thing I've ever heard in my life just chuckling away.... Instructor my butt. Yuri was an instructor. Do you know how many instructors die? I just find it amazingly hypocritical and novice for this guy to be sitting here making this video talking about how much he wants to go visit this location. Over 200 people have died at this location. And this guy's talking mumbo jumbo being all trained up and how much he wants to go visit this location. It's just so d*mn d*mb. Literally Yuri lipsky was an instructor my man. There are unforeseen issues that can arise. Yuri's issue was that he had such a rapid descent he couldn't control his lift and buoyancy and he got so deep that he got progressively compoundingly (is that a word) worse. Yes he didn't use the right 'air', but he probably also didn't anticipate going that deep. I just think that no matter how skilled you think you are there are variables you can't control and so you don't sit around and chuckle about somebody being instructor and they don't need you to tell them something or not... That's not how this works. I don't I just find the whole video to be quite atrocious.

    Listen, mate, if you’re staring down a debt bigger than your surface interval, it’s time to weaponise that misery. Start a series called ‘Diving on a Budget: How to Afford the Ocean When You’re Drowning in Debt’. Film yourself patching wetsuits with duct tape and breathing through a garden hose you’ve ‘borrowed’ from the neighbour. Viewers love nothing more than watching someone slowly unravel, especially when it’s in high-definition underwater shots with inspirational music overlaid. Think those crazy Russians diving in Chernobyl, but with less radiation and more existential dread. If the debt’s pulling you down faster than a failed weight check and you're crying into your mask so much you have to clear it every 5 seconds, it’s time to get creative. Start pimping yourself out as a luxury “human BCD” for rich tourists - strap them on, smile for the GoPro, and call it ‘The Full-Service Dive Experience.’ Failing that, go full “lost treasure hunter” and start selling ‘limited-edition artefacts’ you’ve definitely not just pulled out of a local pond. Before you know it, you’ll be debt-free and debating whether your dignity was ever worth the price of a decent dive computer.

    I'm not seeing the difference on the bayonet connectors for the loop hoses. I dive a KISS Orca Spirit LTE (2023 or late 2022 build) and mine have the same click feedback with a quarter turn between lock/unlock positions. My buddy has a fresh 2024 build with the same connectors.

    • @DiveVibe
      @DiveVibe Месяц назад

      The click is significantly more pronounced. You have to push the ring towards the tower and twist to get it to release. Not knocking the old ones, they just never felt secure enough to me. On my student's units i've seen varying levels of secure-ness. Some of them work pretty good, some of them seem like they barely "engage". These new ones are AWESOME.

    • @DavidRabbit
      @DavidRabbit Месяц назад

      @@DiveVibe I think it's a tolerance consistency thing with Mike's shop. Mine requires a bit of force pushing in to get it to disengage. My dive buddy's unit (2024) is nearly impossible to connect the scrubbers to the counterlungs without rolling an o-ring because the tolerance on his unit is so tight on that connection. Mine has 0 issue in comparison (even when it was new). Anyways, I'll get to see the SW2 once our shop's instructors get them in.
