i use them for over a year now in Europe (Greece ) ive done over 500 dives on them 2-3 daily as is my job..and regs are amazing not to mention about abuse ??? i took them on a commercial trip that we did on scuba, bang them on tools rocks etc they still hold strong and we finish together the scuba season. I dived them in uk at Capernwray on 6 Celsius they breath absolutely as it should!!! i have Poseidon xstrems on sm conf they gave me headache at every dive.i used in uk apex xl4 they was ok i have aqualung titan lx it is ok..but the nex they are on a different level
Look at Yuhsin regs, I believe they are made in the same factory and yuhsin makes these regs, very popular OEM/ODM in Taiwan. Same design first and second too, just a different face plate.
I want to see how they work up here in Canada during the winter. Scuba pros are the way to go up here. I wanna see the ability when frozen. Wanna send them for testing? Lmao.
I was fortunate enough to be among the SCUBA Lab testers for these regulators. Having dove 5 regulators back-to-back in one day, Nex regulators were a real standout in the group! Highly recommend them>
I love the video, but you may want to blend the output on the stereo mike if you are going to wave it around like that. I thought my headphones were dying!
Thanks, it's a different mic than I normally use. It sucks because I totally could have just set the video to mono and fixed it, but I didn't hear it in my headphones (i always check audio on headphones, speakers, and phone speakers) so I guess they were set to mono somehow. It'll be fixed next time.
As soon as they put up the servicing course and make the kits purchasable - they'll probably be my next pick. Though, Deep6 already does this so it'll be a face-off between them. I'm in Australia so it might come down to who is more ready to sell me what I need. I've had some issues with my Halcyon (H75P + Halo) reg sets and I'm getting tired of having that little uncertain voice in the back of my head.
I still don’t understand what is the customizability of these regs ? Apart from adding a fifth port where higher end mainstream regulators already offer? Can we customize the color of the first stage or the second stage ?
Another well produced video, only complaint is your doing only a video a month 😅 Need some more videos of your different dive projects etc...! Great chanel and videos!
Does using transmitter without a hose/spool (directly on first stage) interfere with rotation of the turret when it’s in use? Those HP ports look awful close to the turret LP ports..
At 6:39 you talk about custom hoses. Do you have to reach out to them directly to get custom hoses? You should have broken the video into chapters, easier to refer back to on these reviews. Again: I like your videos, their formatting, ambience, etc.!
Im sure eventually they will have a way to order custom hoses online, but for now just shoot them an email. RUclips will auto generate those chapters eventually.
Cool. Are they externally adjustable for IP? Still love my first Conshelf for that. Are they input reversible on the second stage? Just curious asking for a friend who is non compliant haha. How do they breath compared to Apex/Legends? Scubapros are tough to get adjusted and breathing smooth. Can you buy parts individually 1st & 2nd stage? Aqualung sucks for that and who wants an ACD anyway but man those second stages are butter. Also why sell it with a hose when it's going to get tossed due to default length.
The IP is externally adjustable. If you have the environmental seal you have to remove it to adjust the IP, but that's the same with every sealed diaphragm first stage.
The mask im wearing is a promate swift (It's a hollis m4 ripoff) and it fits me perfectly. I do have an m4 and that leaks for me, so I gave it to my son. Pretty sure it leaked because it's a little too narrow for my big fat face though, lol.
@@DiveVibe Got it, mines is fine but even the slightest facial hair throws it off. I use the M4 as my spare. Solid channel btw, the attention to detail with the gear reviews is a plus.
You might want to consider setting your microphone to mono. Every time you move it from the right in front of your mouth it pans audio to the left or right channel depending on where you're holding it. This feels really weird when you're wearing headphones.
They're currently working on the website. Should be something up soon. In the meantime you can email them for sales or check pacific scuba divers, sc diving, or beach cities scuba. All three sell NEX regs online.
I absolutely love the clarity of your microphone but it is a bit disorienting and distracting for it to change left to right speaker while moving your hands. Really distracting while wearing headphones, love the vids though keep this up my man!
Gotta say that I was genuinely spooked, trying to figure out why you were pretending to speak into an imaginary mic. It took a while to see that you have a deep black mic and are holding against your deep black shirt. LOL!

That's a pretty glowing endorsement! Thanks!

That's awesome! I appreciate your input.
Just the SCUBA channel I’ve been looking for! Love your videos!
Welcome aboard!
How does the NEX regulators compare with the Deep6 signature series? If you have experience with the Deep6 can you please create a video? Thanks

Did I miss it? Diaphragm or Piston 1st. stage?
Hi Craig! Diaphragm

Yes, it's all in the video.

I hear you loud and clear! I'll try to pickup the pace! I should just record all the diving stuff I do and post it, lol.

It looks like it would clear the pelagic transmitter, but I'll have to swing by the dive shop and borrow one. I'll get back to you.
yes with no problem at all i use them like that

Does your Hollis M4 have a tendency to flood with the beard action? Off topic but had to ask.

Yup, will do next time. First time using this microphone.
@@DiveVibe gotcha. Yeah it felt a little ASMR :-)

No dealers listed or any way to purchase from their website that I can tell.

This is really good feedback. I'll stick it in mono mode next time, first time using this mic/recorder. Thanks fam.

Looool. Thanks Oren.
"Can you buy them in Europe?" - I mean you can barely even buy them in the US.
Sorry for the question but first I love the videos but why are your videos always dark?
