I was able to try a set of these while volunteering as a gear tester for a magazine. They were my favorite of the day, out of the 5 I tested. They were very comfortable, and they breathed amazingly well. The first and second stages were so nice and small as well.
Something to answer in the review: serviceability. Do they have online training so you can get certified to service them yourself? Are they at serviceable with Hollis (or whatever) kits?
I’m sure you’ll cover these without my asking, but I’ll ask anyway. Balanced or unbalanced? Or overbalanced? And are they environmentally sealed? And truly the crux of where I am going- how are they for cold water diving? Which I am sure will be difficult for you to test in Hawaii, but is a real concern in landlocked prairie Canada.
Apart from their performance, which I hope you're planning on addressing, things I's like to know: Are they O2 compatible or can they be made O2 compatible? What's Nex's service policy? Can I service my own NEX regs, if I were to buy some? And why does it have so many ports on the first stage? Are they hoping to feed an army off a single tank? Cheers and looking forward to the review.
I'm taking the regs in Mexico in early July for some cave diving. I'm planning to release the review a week or so after I get back. I'm actively diving these regs now though. So if you need an assessment earlier, I'd be happy to talk to you offline.
Looks like a lot of extra ports, are the fixed ports lp or hp? Seems like enough on the swivel, comes with a “5th”? Not sure why you’d need so many on the fixed portion of the first stage…
The fixed ports are 4 lp and 2 hp. Then you have the swivel and a "5th" port. There's a method to the maddness though, but I'll save it for the review.

They look really nice, but how do they compare to DST XTX50s, can we buy them in europe and what is the serviceability of those regs
Excellent questions! I'll do my best to address them in the review video!

Excellent questions. I'll be sure to cover the coldwater capabilities to the best of my ability.
Dang, I'm envious!

I want to hear more. I hope the review comes sooner rather than later.
