i was about to get an xdeep stealth 2.0 until i saw this awesome video. the murdered version is awesome. Ninja mode! i bought one without trying it on.
Man the quality of the video alone deserves way more views I’m fine with my Xdeep stealth tech not to mention how pain to set it up for the 1st time, unlike mine the katana known to be way more ready use from the box
Comment that on the Hollis fb page! It's pretty low traffic right now, so they're likely to see it. I'm pretty sure it would be possible to throw an extra bladder in there and add an inflator to the empty port.
Great video, I think your sexy voice just convinced me to get a K2 when it's time. I'm OWSI in Thailand, generaly very happy with the franken wings I can put together for $250 but will do sidemount eventually. The K2 makes so much sense AND it is probably the most affordable bcd out there while being of great quality. A K2 and a HOG sidemount reg setup is in my future.
Mine is about 6 months old dual bladder. I had to get my modded to accommodate my shoulders. It has plenty of lift and makes trimming easy. Very easy to mount my tanks. I may get the sidewinder one day
Thanks Billy! The K2 is an easier out of the box solution. The XDeep requires a little more tweaking, but its a little heavier duty. XDeep has a huge following for a reason. Honestly I would use either bc, they're both fantastic. The dump valve is hard to reach on the xdeep with the sidewinder attached, but if you have long arms its not a huge problem. You can also come up with some type of remote pull. I've seen it done a few different ways.
Hey, I just got a K2, I’m 6’4” 285lbs, and dive in s a drysuit out of seattle. Any recommendations on how to configure my setup? Would email or phonecall be better?
I just wish ONE of these sidemount BCD manufacturers would offer a model with leg loops instead of a crotch strap. I know, cave divers probably consider leg loops to be a “snag point”. I call BS. If you are diving naked, then yes, the leg loops might be potentially considered a snag point. Otherwise, leg loops are no more a snag point than whatever is covering your body. Someday, someone will produce a sidemount BCD with leg loops. The crotch strap is lame. It’s a major chafe point. I’m supposed to use an inferior strap method because some guys who shove themselves into holes think leg loops MIGHT be a snag hazard?!? Well, leg loops MIGHT POTENTIALLY be a snag hazard to a very small population of people. Meanwhile, the crotch strap IS lame ✅ The crotch strap is a significant chafe point. ✅ /rant off
