  • Welcome to the first episode of DOING STUFF WITH ZACH! Flying with a Rebreather. Today we find out if camera bags are only for cameras or if they can be used for dive gear and other sensitive equipment like rebreathers. I chose the Cinebags CB25 Revolution backpack to transport my KISS Sidewinder. Flying with a rebreather is not always a simple thing. Let's see if I find the CB25 useful for flying with a ccr.

Following to see how well this works! Traveling safely and with ease is one of my top concerns here as I'm just starting to learning about rebreathers and courses.

I haven't taken the rebreather anywhere with it yet, but I just flew to the mainland with a bunch of camera gear and I'm really liking it. Not that its all that big of a deal, but the shoulder straps are extremely comfortable. As a former army ground pounder, I appreciate that. Lol
Thanks for the comment friend! I'll make sure and provide an update once I've hauled the breather.

I’ve used an Ogio backpack for years to travel with my sidewinder. The one I have is big enough I can even pack my can lights in it.

Was that friend me? Ten days and one dive morning. Everything else cancelled,
When I shopped for a travel camera bag, I brought all my gear to a great local camera shop, spread it out on the carpet in a corner of the store and tried out what they had. Found that the ThinkTank Airport Commuter was perfect for me. That was quite a few years ago and I've used to a whole lot. No signs of wear and it takes all my UW camera gear, my large iPade and large laptop, along with various chargers, power strips, etc.
I treat it as my "personal item" for carryon and - luckily - have never been challenged on that and - really luckily - they've never weighed it.

Why yes it was! That's a great idea. That was the type of thing I relished when I worked in the dive shop too. When a customer comes in determined to find an answer, I'm your guy, lets do this!

Hell yes! I've always loved that camera. I had one years ago and it was my first serious camera. Basically useless these days, but I love the way it looks.
