You’re talking as if Prot warrior wasn’t the go to back in the day for high tier raids. You saw MORE prot warriors back in the day tanking than pallys .

holy paladin in pvp with 17K armor and 400/450 resil is a walking dota 1 fountain

I mained a rogue from tbc to retail. Wanted to try something different and went Druid in Vanilla classic. Was playing feral all the way up until TBC came out and hit max level at 70. When i found out ferals arent reallh seeked out for raids, i switched boomy. Got accpeted into several raids and found a guild that made me a core member. Ended up gearing by 3 weeks(not much comp in gear as a boomy) and now excited for wrath as boomies can do insane damage if played right. Tldr: playing boomy allowed me to raid as a core member and nobody gives a fuck about my damage lol. Best class to gear up in raid gear.

Tailor is special good, u can take enchanting ang get ur rings enchanted aswell, for pure dmg

Would you say it's still worth it to get dragonstrike in p3/4? Just playing enhancment as alt and was wondering. Maybe it's better to get the wotlk professions in mind

15:05 i am so glad this video didnt age well at this point. Arcane mages in well optimized guilds are doing far superior single target and aoe damage in relation to warlocks and hunters.

I know this guide is older but I just wanted to point out that the rotation listed @8:53 is wrong. You want to just keep Faerie Fire up and ONLY moonfire, then spam starfire. The only time that Insect Swarm should be used is if you need to move during a mechanic and/or fire on the ground AND moonfire is already up.

I was the first to obtain Vestment of the Sea-Witch in our Raid. I am a Shadowpriest. And with this Item I was able to take 4% off my Talents... and spec 3% more Crit and 5/5 Shadow Afflinity As I rolled a 95er LOG this fight... I just granted it to myself!

Sorry stupid questions I can‘t find an answer to maybe you guys can help me out. I got 10% hit on my rogue right now according to my inventory. Are those 10% included or excluded the 5% from talents? So do I have 15% in total or just 5% without the talents? Sorry for this dumb question. Its my first dmg class I only played healers before

watching this after a year in tbc and quit for other games (but came back). The issues of holy are there in classic too, you hard cast everything, your selection of kit in raids is limited (compared to pvp), and your overall output is really small (holy pally healing in classic is really boosted by 1k healing power gear). Another thing that holy pvp healing had to fight with is the fact if you took +healing trinkets instead of defensive ones, you had a bad time healing in pvp. Scrolls trinket from BWL, resist trinket from nax and pvp trinket/the shield trinket from aq40 were the best pvp trinkets you could use as a holy paladin, and in TBC all that goes away for some reason. Pally pvp's peak is in classic. Reckoning was the core talent behind the meta pvp specs and arguably the most class identity the class ever received second being redoubt. So watching TBC turn reckoning into a weak extra swing per swing talent instead of the burst juggernaut its supposed to be, makes you wonder how much Tom Chilton had the class nerfed to make sure his warrior shined. That said, classic meta turned to retribution tree for premade pvp. Repentance opened up alot more tactical moves that made holy shock look like a Nerf gun. Stunning a shamen or mage and then healing for 6s before using bubble to avoid counter-spell/interrupts was OP as shit, and watching you being able to cc a druid right before they swap to travel form in mid is super satisfying. On top of that, vindication gave you 15% debuff to those same druid carriers so you helped warriors chunk down really tanky FC's. Though in TBC they really nerf all cc's by forcing DRs and alot of core pvp talents are at or before holy shock's row. So you can't really go that keep into ret anymore without losing core pvp talents in prot. I think a more resist oriented holy paladin is really needed for pvp. EJ's forum back in the day noted that the original imp. concentration aura talent before the nerf was really strong against mage's arcane spells, as long as you added arcane resist to help back up the talents. This was because binary spells in tbc calculate your chance to resist by multiplying chance to hit with resist% gained from resistances. That means a mage that gets 99% spell hit, still has to worry about someone grabbing resists. That 99% is actually around 70-80 depending if your have mark of wild or resist gear on and TBC really gives you decent gear for arcane resists (plate gear with 3x gems and decent stam). So you can get 140 arcane/shadow resist, imp con aura reducing the duration of interrupts, and still hit 1500-1600 healing power in phase 3 (can go higher if you get eventually get arena gear, but I took the easy gearing way). seventyupgrades.com/set/tRnSn5NifsHiuZwePFCqv4

Interesting thing about Mulgar caster belt, that it can be better for arcane mages than the belt of blasting. You gain 400+ mana over 1% crit, damage is pretty much the same 1 or 2 sp difference towards Mulgar belt. And the hit is pointless. Both sockets are identical. Arcane mages get the sp back from the amount of int that the belt has.

@knot They updateed the Mother Shaz trash to run faster than player run speed with the last PTR version. Solo trash farming won't be a thing in the same way it was in 2007.

No decent guild with any form of LC/Hard Prio will have the trash up for Warlocks or Spriests to farm because is not 2007. The trash farm is also possible on all the casters except maybe Ele Shaman. So juggling ROAK and the Ring of Captured Storms is NOT the play. Prio your best casters, give 1 to everyone, repeat the list.

Prot warriors have the best scaling threat while prot paladins have the worst. Ferals only have the best threat because the gear purely like dps, however modern prot warriors are gearing like dps as well now with pvp gear and relying on baseline mit and CDs to survive and are outhreating druids. However the feral set bonuses are so broken this may completely change.

Resto druids are looking at the crafted shoulders now, depending on who you ask. The pvp neck is no longer in so we have a slightly harder time reaching 5gcd, and once we do there's continued value from haste (but not compared to priests and shammys i imagine). But yea basically the tier shoulders can be even lower prio for us trees, only reason to use them is for building that 4gcd setup (which we will do eventually, and some trees may even prefer to focus 4gcd over an early 5gcd set!)

So happy to see you delivered and not disappointed by the result ! One thing I would argue with : Archimonde shield. Elementals benefit more from the crit than Prot paladin. Also Elemental don't need the hit from Rage offhand at all. Prot pal get access to a trashloot shield they are basicly alone on. I would go Ele first prot pal second.

Mad ret paladin here: You should have mentioned that half of our Bis items come from p2, so if ret palas go later on every item they CAN get in this phase it feels pretty demotivating.

Nice, been waiting for this. Minor comments regarding trees: Resto-Dr00ds also craft their wrists, the cloth ones which are slightly better than the leather ones. So the sidegrade or pregrade of that are Rage Winterchill's leather bracers which are slightly better than the cloth wrists he has. So no need to give resto druids the cloth wrists from Rage at all. Angelista's Sash is also BiS for restos since it's a little bit better than the leather version. No prio over priests though ofc. Some lucky dr00ds might also have Kazzak's Gold-Leaf boosts which are still BiS, those don't need Divine Lights obvs. They also got a quite good sidegrade for the helmet from Teron and their setbonuses are not important. So their prio on t6 head token could be lower.
