Blizz announced people will need professions to use their profession's BOP items. So there will be no need to pick up and drop different professions to try and get all the benefits from multiple professions.
great guide, now I'm pumped to play a resto druid
Just a note: I remember (and since that was a LONG time ago, I may be wrong) having trouble healing early dungeon heroics (probably due to lack of decent gear) if I didn't use Healing Touch. In other words, HoTs, Swiftmend and Regrowth alone weren't enough to keep tanks up, and I needed to occasionally switch out of tree form to toss some Healing Touches. I'm saying this because it may be beneficial to not drop entirely the Healing Touch talents (specially the 0.5 s cast time reduction one), at least until you get decent gear (at least some heroic gear).
Yes for sure. I remember the first heroics being really difficult, and if the tanks gear isn't on point, you gon be sweating.
Yeah healing touch is still going to be used in heroic dungeons.
Couple of points from my experience as Resto:
* Healing Touch talents are nice for Shattered Halls Heroic. Using just HT on the Gauntlet makes it much easier for the tank to grab aggro keeping the damage off you. Bit niche but worth a mention.
* You should start the fight with the tank pre-stacked with Lifebloom. You're natural mana regen should keep you at full mana just refreshing the lifebloom every 7 seconds until the pull actually takes place. Even with two tanks you can pre-stack both, drink for a few seconds and then refresh them.
* There's also absolutely nothing wrong with sitting letting your mana tick if there's very little raid damage, especially if you're anticipating a phase where you'll want to throw more raid heals out.
Agree, the only thing I wanted to mention is that tanks should be pre-stacked with Lifebloom. Starting a fight with 1 stack, casting rejuv 3x and then applying another stack is horribly inefficient.
Thanks for the content! Leveling a Druid for my alt
Glad to have found you
Nice guide! ty
Waiting on that holy priest vid, great breakdown as always. Do you have any more of those TBC gold tip videos planned?
Yeah I have 1-2 more gold tip videos planned at some stage before release; glad you enjoyed!
@@KnotxD Sick! I've watched all ur vids, excited to see what u put out
So should i go tailoring for mooncloth set and then enchanting for 20 hp on rings?:) ty
If you're happy to spend the gold and make loot decisions easier, mooncloth would be the pick but how much the gold matters to you is relevant; the benefit relative to cost might be skewed in favour of cost in the initial weeks.
If you don't know, Bangle of Infinite Blessings from Botanica final boss is completely OP for resto druids!
Did this man just say "if your tank is getting his ass eaten" 😳
Yes I did, goor sir =)
thx for video
regrowth is in rotation as well? can i go oom fast if jump out and in tree form?
Regrowth is a useful tool but of the tank is real comfy you don't need to add it in. If you jump in and out too often, it will be bad for mana but you don't really jump in and out much
@@KnotxD ok ty!
When I saw the lifebloom gcd breakdown the drummer in me got really happy. I get to play in 4/7 loool
As a tank I'm really looking forward to lifebloom.
how much healing is needed for heroics ?
I'm gonna be so stressed worrying about lifebloom failing off lol
Edit: TREEFORM CAN BE UGLY?? Im literally ONLY going druid so I can be a tree lmao
ugly AF
I know right!?! Treeform is awesome! Even if I play Druid on retail I take the treeform glyph so I don't have to stay in caster form when healing xD
i like it for nostalgia
If the tree form aura isn't good, what about like a moonglowish spec?
Losing empowered rejuvenation's 20% HoT bonus is pretty hard to swallow in PvE. It might be feasible to play a moonglow+regrowth spec if you're the 2nd druid but even then, empowered rejuvenation is really strong and I'd be unsure without extensive testing to recommend something like that.
Tree of life form is pretty much best choice to go for. The mana cost decrease on HoTs alone makes it VERY viable choice because then, you are much less likely to run out of mana when you are using it, compared to when you are not using it.
If you are looking to play best healer in the game, roll for holy priest, druids are amazing support healers, and that's pretty much what they are
I'm a solo player most of the time can I ask Boomkin/resto druid is good or feral/resto?
If you enjoy solo content more, I would go feral/resto, feral is a very sturdy spec in TBC, in fact, its one of the better solo specs for world pvp and farming - not quite the best but very good.
@@KnotxD ok tnx.but what gear should I use? Agi/int?
You missed the "elitist jugdes" (?) link in the description.
Good spot! Will add that now
web.archive.org/web/20080913120521/elitistjerks.com/f31/t17783-druid_raiding_tree/ - added to description too, thanks
best spec for pve/pvp as a druid? without having to respec
To do both (arena and raid?) in the same spec? Uh, you can heal in PvE just fine with the default PvP deep resto build, so I'd say that tbh. If you mean more like Solo content and some BGs or some arena, but Feral takes alot more practice in Arena than Resto does.
tbcdb.com/talents/index.html?en&druid&00000000000000000000050023213032212510120055003320030500000000 probably the best arena spec if you have feral gear with a mix of healing gear for emergency heals etc mainly a dps spec but depending on raid clear times and the raid composition this spec could be extremely useful as a sport roll not doing great pve heals but extremely good in arena content
@@KnotxD have you actually played resto druid XD?
ok but what rank of heal skills do I use? no one covers this
Max always, downranking is nerfed in tbc
Tree baby
My main issue is that my raid always assigns me to raid healing “cause you have hots, you can heal everyone” and my explanations of the value that they’re missing out on with tank healing fals on deaf ears.
No one is keeping you from having hots on the tanks. In my experience, whenever the raid leader assigns me to raid healing, i automatically assume he also wants me to have my hots on the tank... not being assigned to MT means you are not fully responsible for toping up the MT, you are there just as a support. Tank is part of the raid, you are raid healing, ergo, you should always help on the tank.
@@caughtoncameraxz Interesting that you are telling me what my raid leaders mean when they say "don't hot the tanks just watch the raid"
@@Surefire11B first of all, you never mentioned that they specifically said to NOT hot the tank. Second, if they said what you should and should not do in that strict manner, i think you should consider swapping guilds cause thats just pure communism...
@@caughtoncameraxz Your life must be exhausting.
@@Surefire11B whatever man... i was just trying to give you some advice from my experience and point of view... this discussion could have become a nice theorycrafting from which we both could have learnt something, but all you did was to get defensive and insult me without any reason. To that i say good ridance and enjoy your friendless life
TIp about brambles : your thorns is the Thorns buff on YOU
For extra thiCC thorns I believe you can swap out for cenarion 3-set bonus. Only gets you +4 dmg however it does give a nice 50% duration on the buff.
@@ricroflxD i belive this is true
Also give rooted Druids an extra 10% heal to all hots… BTW Take away the de buff for heals if under the tree. I’d rather see a rooted tree toss out the spring heal to EVERYONE under your branches. As you root yourself heal everyone under, but not 3 people. It’s a low healing hot.
Looked at how holy paladins got dumpstered and now I'm here
Pallies are fine, all specs
Would be nice if LB was gained at 61, it could give you more time to learn how it works. So far (61) I've just been blowing up my mana pool by rej/regr tank/dps taking damage, while praying to all the gods that no one dies, cause they running back very mad... Lol 20 min cd rez/brez...
How dare you, Knot
Druids don’t need HT to heal btw. The dmg reduction is the only reason to get it..
If blooming LB do it on mages an hunters etc. never your tank as heals give Paladins mana for your heals (it does)..
I played a holy paladin last time in tBC. This time Im going resto druid.
What server do you play on
At the moment, I play on Ashbringer-EU
@@KnotxD ah ok, I'm on gehennas
you will not be able to use ring enchants/epic JC gyms if you drop the professions
And 95% of heal will be over healed
Shaman do to 100% by one button - chainheal
Paladins do 1-2 buttons to the 100%
Priest AoE + shields
Druid did 10 hots to the full targets.
The realgood heal comes in world PvP /arenas and BGs
Mobility god
LB tanks and then regenerate anyone else.
