- Part 2 of the upcoming phase's loot discussion, this is more of a spec bias discussion, priority is a pretty poor word but thats the word people tend to use. As always, this is not a strict guide, literally discussing my thoughts from scouring class discords around the date of recording.

Enhance shaman here. Honestly very impressed you know so much about the spec. The netherbane vs rod 6 dps comment was literally completely accurate and I feel like you must do an absurd amount of research to be able to dissect all of the items for each spec. Great stuff
I think you forgot about Rogue for Vambraces of Ending from Solarian.
When can we expect the P3 video to come out? Many are eagerly waiting to share with our loot councils :)
As for the Verdant Sphere, I do not know about other tanks but for prot-paladins it is BiS till the end of the game. So for longevity, protadins get a leg up (even above ele-shamans and hunters)
Yeah the neck is endgame bis for prot paladins.

Just needed to chime in on the neck piece from Kael, Prot Paladins want the mit neck, it’s bis game nothing else is comparable and any serious Prot Paladin who cares about threat will be running pvp content for the spellpower neck, has a socket to add more spellpower to it and resilience to help with crit cap, no brainer here, we want that mit neck.
Solarian wand does not get replaced till sunwell for warlocks. Arcane mages BIS wand is from magtheridon.
the verdant sphere is the best avoidance neck in the game. its extremely efficient stated. bis for prot pally
Hoping you plan to release similar content for next phase BT/Hyjal, this was so nice to use as a guide for phase 2.
For some classes the 2 and 4 set bonus is really good. And you acknowledge this. But they get a low prio on every single piece at the same time, because you only look at the piece individually and prio well scaling classes. How does this work out logically? This is the most interesting part which is kinda ignored. Biasis are beginning the show a little against classes who dont scale well just on raw stats.

He ignores the warrior 4p T5 is where Prot warriors peak in terms of threat generation and he is like "you are low prio on all tier tokens" Even though you use them for threat generation, all the way into Sunwell where you wear 4pT5 and 4p T6.
@@Evirthewarrior Yes it's very apparent this list is not made for guilds using a prot warrior (main)tank, which a lot of guilds are. Guess his raid uses a feral druid instead. Looking at the prio that class gets two tiers in a row. Maybe more thought into different set-ups could help a little determining what is usefull.
came here to say something similar actually. these list are very very bias and contradicts quite a bit. my guild uses a loot list system so it doesn't affect me but still, i noticed this as well

On wand of the forgotten star, it doesn't seem to me that you'd replace it until Sunwell as a destro lock or fire mage. The wand from P3 is 21 stam, 25sp and 13 hit. Those hit won't matter for most because of how easily obtainable hit is by next phase and the loss of crit is an overall dps loss as well. As for which class will want it, the answer is destro lock or fire mage. Arcane usually doesn't want it because it lacks int.

Arcane will also use the neck from KT in P3 I believe, as they get overcapped on hit even without trying.
So concerning the 2.7 speed thing with Shamans and Flurry, do people know if this is the same with Fury Warriors? I would suspect so because of similar to exact same wording with Flurry

i may be biased as a prot pali but the verdant sphere tank neck is BiS for most/all of TBC. Its stat distribution is so good.
Wand of the forgotten Star is NOT replaced in phase 3 or 4. its replaced with demonsoul in sunwell.

It's a marginal upgrade even for Orcs, but as always you'd want to be matching weapon speeds in MH and OH.

An enhanve in p1 is either blacksmith with 2.7 weapons or raid weapons with 2.6, I'd say to prio talon/rod to ones already using 2.7 and netherbanes to ones already using 2.6 just because theyd need to wait to have two if they're changing to a different speeds
Two useful comments but to answer ur direct quest... yes. Rod is bis offhand with BS mainhand. If ur orc and not BS then netherbane DW is bis. Of ur not orc and not BS then fist wep mainhand and rod offhand is bis. Cheers!
Fury Warrior only want Searing Grip if they get Expertise Shoulder as well because of expertise breakpoints afaik.
Are you thinking of doing a P3 video any time soon? Would love to see it as we have started planning with T6 on the PTR.
Yeah I only realised yesterday the PTR was under way, will be working on this and releasing hopefully this week or next :)

For Vambraces of Ending they are rogue bis by a lot. Small oversight! Also I would argue for the rogues since it's the only option for them, while enhance/hunters have lesser options at least.
Fair point, in that case rogues have a very good shout of being top prio there
Boomkin T5 4pc would only be replaced by the most drool worthy pieces of Sunwell haste stuff (which every caster wants). Your boomkin will be farming Kil'Jaeden with it on.
I think you keep 4pt5 along with t6 offpieces.
Verdent Sphere neck is Prot Pala bis for the whole game, even Sunwell. 100 percent prot pala prio

This man is underestimating the BiS paladin neck. The neck will see use through next phase and beyond. There's so much uncrushablility on it. It allows for more aggressive gearing in other slots.
Yeah it's literally bis for the entire expansion. While casters get a neck from Sunwell

Fyi your bit on ele shamans- all 3 pcs of netherstrike are replaced and 1 item itself alone can beat out the set and that is the new crafted belt that is also bis for all caster so "prioing" other casters because the Nethersrike set is going to be broken is a null point as it's breaking regardless and all 3 pcs are being replaced so i'd not devalue the ranking on ele on that point.

Week one rod is an easy choice if you have a blacksmithing enhance though irregardless of whether you’ve seen alar fist weapon

Vambraces of Ending are BiS for rogues, and rogues are not even on the list for priority (we are wearing Heroic OHF bracers) Could you revisit the spreadsheet and find a place for rogues maybe?
Good point, an oversight for sure. I'll be updating the spreadsheet ahead of patch day in a few areas such as this, prot pala on verdant sphere and a couple other slight changes.
Solarian sapphire prolly straight up BiS for arms to support. Its 300 free ap distributed along the meleegrp/huntards + pets.
T5 Chest is BiS for Resto Shamans with only alternative being the Arena one. And of PvE gear T5 is considerably better than T4.

void reaver leggings are really good for survival like 65 agi off of them when gemmed
... it is 67,85 agility with talents to be precise, and 74,6 agility after kings (+ 88 AP) - the comment "nothing special" made me laugh - for survival hunters these legs are huge and by far the best leggings in this phase
What's with the weird ret prio on mail pieces? You realize a raid is going to have only one ret but 3-4 hunters?
I mean, cause hunters are often looking for leather items, ironically. It's just how the stats pan out for the respective classes. On most key hunter items, they get prio besides Tier cause of the whole 0pc or 4pc only thing.

Got the Sham/Pal/Rogue token big time wrong. Rogues only truly benefit from tier once they get 4 set, so only give your rogues shoulders if you're going to give them the rest. Also ele shams want the shoulder token too unless the raid lead is forcing them to keep T4 2set long term but shoulders is their biggest upgrade

Void greaves is survival hunter bis if you disregard the legs from lord kazzak, so they should probably have prio there
Depending on who you ask, Tier 5 legs+Gloves of Dexterous Manipulation sim higher. But its very close (slightly better than) to the Voidreaver+Tier 5 Gloves. within 10 DPS of each other
@@Nthr4xx I can see how they would perform very similar, but you very likely overcap on hit% with that and you trade 2 agility and 2 critical strike rating for 20 attack power, so its definitely up in the air

@@nexmann17nani my personal Sims also show voidreaver +tier 5 to be better. But hunter discord has attuman gloves + t5 legs as BiS. And has also shown proof of it simming higher than void reaver. But slight differences in settings can cause that. Either way you go. It's close

Orc enhance here, lost the KT mace to rogue (im Axe BS so had 2.7 mh already)
Everything is good, but you're way off base on the verdant sphere and the neck. It is prot pally bis, the other tanks not so much but it is endgame bis for 90% of prot pallies.

There's a phase 3 video coming soon, had a few setbacks that have prevented me work on it over the festive period, but working on getting it out soon atm.

Extremely good video as always. Want to add though, rogues should just stick with Choker of Vile Intent instead of getting the KT quest neck.
Astromancer is bigtime bis for arcane mage, at least alliance who really dont need or value hit in any way when theyve got an elem shaman
But they dont have ele sham tho, mage group wants resto shaman

I'd give twinblade to fury warriors that often have to respec arms when needed for the comp.

If your raid has 4 hunters it isn't realistic to get 8 alar fist weps. So the hunter who enjoys pvp the most would use the twin blade
Theyll claim to melee weave, only to not do it at all, and then claim they need MH off Alar as well.

You seem to misunderstand Protection paladins! That neck is BIS until level 80 for crying out loud and the Cloak is BIS from paladins also.
Twinblade goes to rets 100% over arms as it gives a hidden class RP bonus of +350 when wielded by a ret, which is tripled when tier 6 is paired with it.

The fistweapon is BiS for BM hunters and only BiS for enhancer shaman which are not BS does nothing have to do with being orc or not! The OH is BiS for SV ofc as well! VR legs + 4 set or Attumengloves + 4set will be BiS for SV, it looks like you miss out a lot on SV
Fist off Alar is bis for enh shaman even with BS for non Orcs(BPE is bis for orcs) Check your dps calcs before posting.

I like the video, I think it's important and well done, but the fact that we need this type of video is a testament to how weird wow community is. Minmaxing other people even if in your guild is just weird.

man you're really biased towards arcane mages, it's like warlocks aren't in your thought process whatsoever. You even put mages t4 above warlocks t4 (i know that this video isnt about that) with warlocks having the far superior 2 piece bonus.
I'm certain I did not put Arcane above warlock on T4. For context our Arcane does not have T4 and our warlocks do. I will go back and check but Im pretty sure that was never said.
But there's basically no overlapping gear in p2 between warlocks and mages. All the gear has to go somewhere and most items arcane really wants aren't desired by warlocks at all. It's rather competition with elementals.

For as much knowledge you know about Enh/Ret/Feral you seem to not mention Survival hunter as a spec or talk about it at all. Surv has a different stat priority and should be mentioned.
FYI I don't know if you watched the whole thing but I saw survival mentioned at least three times. What do you think Knot missed? (having an up-and-coming hunter alt, I'm curious)

- Thalassian Wildercloak stays BIS for the whole game until the highly contested Kil Jaeden cloak - every other class and specc swaps the KT cloak right in the next phase ("if you are nitpicky" ...lol)
- Verant Sphere longetivity: Telonicus Pendant of Mayhem lasts until Kalegcos in Sunwell
- Void Reaver Leggings are BIS for Survival (explained above) for Phase 2
- "we are not giving survival a prio on anything" - nice attitude ... niiice. Like i wrote in the part 1 video: this spec is giving the biggest physical dps raid contribution while doing tier A damage, so you better start thinking about prios in terms of motivation for an important raid member: - your average fury rerolling bm hunter won't specc into it, i get that ... just saying
It is still a nice prio discussion, but very obvious that he lacks interest in some specs and classes, while he loves to discuss others lengthy
If you were looking for faith fairness you would be comparing Phase 2 and phase 3 because phase obecause face one it's only gruel mag And I guarantee you have those people already quit doing karazhan
Here is the fact healers and tanks should get everything they want if it's an upgrade, because you can raid with dead dps, yes it may go slower but without tanks and healers you can't do anything. Like I dont want to do any kara anymore but as a tank I have to support our healers that still need lights justice and our dps keep 'getting busy'
Disagree on searing grips. Since I never seen deftness drop and the ret AND the main tank (warrior) has deftness, I don't see why me (druid tank) shouldn't get searing first. The upgrade is obviously bigger for me than for them
Obviously you didn't actually listen to the video.
He suggested tanks get tier gear instead of this item since searing grips is so marginal and not BiS for tanks. If someone is pure cat, maybe they want these, but no one really does loot prio for a feral who never goes into bear form.
@@MitchellEdelman You've got it backwards. Pure cats don't want these. Cat wears 4 pc t5 + wolfshead helm so they prefer tier gloves over searing grips while bears would prefer searing grips. That said, it still makes more sense to go tier gloves to a bear over searing grips because they're going to need the tier gloves to dps and the tier gloves aren't that much worse than searing grips for bear and giving 2 gloves to the same person feels inefficient.
Imo it is even less efficient to give grips to a arms, fury or ret with deftness, rather than a tank without it. And since he also mostly put others classes/specs before feral tank on tier 5 tokens i guess we just use t4 then..
giving rogues prio, what a laught, WHO in their right mind would bring a rogue.
I dont know why you rate KT leather legs so high for Rets, they are way worse compared to bloodwarder. As a ret you dont need the crit.
Also dropping your expertise pants as ret requires you to have other exptise items already so you dont shot yourself in the foot. As a human less of a problem then non-human.

Correct me if i'm wrong but as a warrior the 2 set bonus is quite weak compared to what others have available to them, when are you using overpower? you wont have tact mastery and the moments when you both are very low on rage and have a dodge to overpower with seems somewhat uncommon. There are other options that are either almost the same for stats (Krakken) or even better (Blood Sea) and WAY less contested.
2 piece is bad, and the leather chest is practically the same as T5 chest, same with T5 pants vs leather ones.

The pieces are on the list because of their stats not because of the set bonus value, you don't overpower currently as either fury or arms
@@Bobbybutter05 It's because Overpower is only available in Battle Stance. In raid spec we would typically have to dump most of our rage to swap stances (both before AND after hitting Overpower). Fury wars additionally miss out on Improved Berserker Stance while swapping. Its not a good deal.

This series is laughable. This guy either hates Prot paladins or knows absolutely nothing about them. He doesn't even know Darkener's Grasp is good for them.
