Classic Cars and Mostly Mopars! 😎This is unprofessional advice, use at your own risk !!! 😎 Sharing my classic car experiences and projects. It may help somebody with their project, or in the very least, entertain somebody along the way. I've mainly done low dollar projects and "roadkill" style builds keeping it simple and fun.
Less Slow is the Goal! Dodge Van, Truck, or Car, won't matter
If we bring it to the track, a small improvement is going to be expected.

Shitty tires on a shitty pickup😂
Yankees 😮 dodge
The only setup i liked better was my 6 pack
I like them both but yes A Bodies small blocks. I'd never put a small block in a Super Bee. That's just wrong.
same thing with scooters clutch variator once you change an piece by half gram more or less it causes damage to clutch and engine crank at high tire speed this valve will be soo heavy so that you need to make a balance which is already made by the manufacturer once tire fixed as per this video ♥👍
I am impressed and it looks great. I am going to get some Flood, thanks
um, this should have a million views, awesome video
Thank you !!!
Wow! Thank You 👍
I wanted to try a small block for my 86 D150,I went with a mild built 360 with a 904 to see how it goes.
Good choice, the 360 is a great all-around motor.
I have a 68 dart with 273 and factory 2bbl will adjusting this forward more make it shift smoother into second? Or does the lever being adjusted further toward the firewall make it shift smoother or sooner into second?
Moving the rod "longer" or the carb slot "shorter" holds the gears out longer, meaning the shift will take place later. In general, you can try to make it shift sooner to shift softer, but be careful because you'll need to have throttle pressure on the kickdown because without it you can damage the transmission. If it shifts too hard, it could be something else like the valve body.
Slant six Dart -64. I really liked my slightly tuned slant six car. Historically, slant six engines were different in export versions for different countries. Even more powerful. The factory didn't want the 225 to take a foothold from the 273 or 318 engines. Video of me driving the Dart on the open road: ruclips.net/video/q591xICEOcI/видео.htmlsi=DPuYkcpFJzOZQuRz
Thanks for sharing!
😂
At least one thing your not mentioning the fast word so yeah shouldn't be to difficult surely
👍😅
Thank you for pointing that out. To suggest that the manufacturer respin balances each wheel to find the lightest spot for the valve is folly.
Do you have any other contact information for this kit? The website you have shown no longer exists.
I do not.
Tip for tire installers who don't want to deal with this Karen as a customer: Those dots come off with a tiny dab of brake clean and a rag.
Karen? Karen's just hold you accountable! DO - IT - RIGHT !!!
Hey you got a nice hat there !!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You like it ??? LOL
@318willrun ahahah of course it even looks better on you ! They came out very nice! Ill keep one for me ahahahah :)
I have only seen dots on truck tires...
wouldn't the material drilled out for the stem be heavier than the stem? Just asking.
Never knew that! But now I feel bad for tire guys way back when I worked as a detailer at a dealership. I used to rub off those dots with a wheel cleaner when cleaning the new cars. Oopsies! Lol! 😆
My 2016 ram 3.6 backs up with doors open. They had a update for the computer to enable that because people were forgetting to shift to park. I'm never getting that update.
WELL DUH ! I learned that back in the 70s before you were born kid.
LOL... I'm older than you think 😂😂
Been buying tires for 50 years. Ain't never seen no dots. Do i need special glasses to see them dots?
Ahh ... Tell me you don't actually work on cars, without telling me, you don't actually work on cars.
Work??? Yuk..... 😅
I'd hardly call a '69 Road Runner with a 383 magnum a taxi.
Or 68/69/70 Super Bee 8 )
Happy New Less Low Racing Year! Love your contents everytime! Btw, we have the same temperature here in New Brunswick Canada, above Maine. We had a little snow for Christmas, that's it. But it melted down and could see grass everywhere under 1 inch of snow.
HNLLRY to you as well !! Same here, little bit of snow for Christmas and that's about it !
Been working on cars for 40 years and I've only seen that on maybe one or two sets of tires give me a break
Then your not paying attention
@KurtKoster-s6t not true
Hoping to be a little less slow this year myself!
What did I miss???
Don’t they call the red dot the high spot of the tire? No tire is 100% true, so you align the red (highest point of radial force) to the wheels lightest part will reduce the amount of counter forces (aka weights) required. When you don’t know where the lightest part of the rim is, you can match the valve stem with the low spot on the tire (yellow dot). Thought this was a fun fact. 🥰
Great Job****
If the tech looked inside the rim, they’d see the wheel manufacturer put a yellow tab that matched the yellow/green tabs you see on new cars that line up with the red dot. Why are techs we trust with our 30,000$ cars so unwilling to be professional. Our local Toyota dealer constantly over tightens lug nuts instead of factory specs.
I hate to be the "buzzkill" but, after almost 50 years into cars, I've finally learned that more is not less. The more projects one has, the more diluted the funds, time and energy are spent on each. It sucks because it's so fun acquiring them!
Agreed... "more" can be a good thing, until it's not...
Yes would be nice Tim! But for some reason when I go to the parts store don’t have it , on back order, and price is how much, and then to top it off it bad so you have to do it again. Also laying on the ground now at 65+ is not fun anymore for some reason. I really want to know what the heck the deal is with parts? I put new brake hose on my Dakota and had to reuse the washer! I couldn’t get the new one to work at all. Put in the old ones sealed right up no leaks! Explain that one. Good luck with your plan Tim! Yeah I know what you’re saying I have not road my motorcycle now for I think it’s 4 years?!? That is going to be bad. Tire, gas, carburetor, brakes. Yeah…. Got the snowblower running! No snow. lol!
I hear ya, I hear ya !!!
i first read your thumbnail as "A Little Less Snow"
You and Mopar Sam aka Creedence Chrysler Revival... lol
Yes lol “less slow” is a good way to go. I hope you bring the Duster this year but the Van is cool too.
Get the Dust off the Duster ! lol
I just watched your old duster videos been waiting on something from you
Thanks!
My father often said to me "Kid, don't be in such a rush to get older. When you get to my age (mid 50s) time passes too quickly, it's like sledding down the side of a mountain, You can't slow it down. All you can do is hang on and and hope you don't hit a tree." He hoped he would live to 100yrs, just to "see the odometer turn over" He would say that way he would be "too old to die young" He "only" made it to 96. 👍
Your Dad had it figured out, and from the era of "flipping the odometer" happened at 100,000 miles
@318willrun 👍😁
70 CHALLENGER 383 MAGNUM WAS THE FAST MONSTER IVE EVER BEEN IN ! 😳😁
When I was 12 I wanted to be 16 so I could drive, when I was 16 I wanted to be 18 to drink beer, when I was 18 I wanted to be 21 so I could drink liquor, when I was 21 I wanted to be 30 to be taken seriously as an adult. When I turned 70 I wanted to be 12 again. Don't wish your life away. Have as much fun as you can when you are young. Keep having fun with those Mopars.
"life is but a vapor....."
A lot of truth and wisdom in that post.
Slightly helpful if you are not going to balance them. If you do have them balanced that isn't really important
sounds like a good goal
thanks Stephen!!
Any improvement is something
Agreed !
That sounds like a goal you can achieve. Less Slow. Sounds like a good name for a car !!!
Absolutely! Could be the name for our slant 6 truck!
I have lots to improve on with my fastback. But there might be a detour first.???😊
I feel ya.... detours are a part of life 😶
Been using Pirelli's for years and never had any dots on any tires
The older you get the faster the years go.
Amen to that !
Fasters better! Nothing like an improvement. It's always better. Thanks Tim. 👍🇺🇸👍 🙏
Even "less slower" is a bit better ... 😅 Thanks Ed
Lets (as in You) do it. Always up for some Mopar tuning/performance improvements
Old Mopar 💪🇺🇸
