I'm reading Dorothy Sayer's "Nine Tailors' which is all about bell ringing and murder. I grew up with chruch bells ringing in the rural south in America but they were not the same as this. Thank you for posting this delightful video of bell ringing to give me a better understanding of what a really great set of bells meant to a church community. I think America would be a better place if we'd known....but you never know what you don't know. Again...Thank you.

Thankyou, that is such a nice comment. Many bellringers in the UK have read The Nine Taylors, which is a testament to the attention to detail that Dorothy Sayers put in to it. The ringing elements in the story are on the whole very accurate to what happens in towers up and down the country even to this day, and if it was not I doubt so many bellringers would have (and continue to) read it.

They aren't, but what is unusual is they are curved headstocks, not straight. The trebles are very tall.
