Bells of Leicestershire - Whitwick

  • Whitwick is a village in the North West of Leicestershire, close to the town of Coalville. The church today is of mainly 14th century construction, with only the South doorway dating back to the 13th century. The church was significantly restored in the 19th century.
    Access to the ringing room is via a spiral staircase. There are 8 bells, tenor weight 11-3-12cwt. The back four bells, cast in 1628, are listed. More details about the bells can be found here: dove.cccbr.org...

      Its definitely one of the ones I'm looking forward to doing - I just need to find time to get over there to make the recordings!
