Just noticing this now that you've said it lol. The more heartfelt, serious and human stories are told through the ghost arcs, while the more crazy, epic and action packed aspects of Dandadan are usually part of the alien focused arcs.

The staff list for this show is insane-
The director is Fuga Yamashiro, a veteran of Science SARU, this is his directorial debut
The character designer is Naoyuki Onda. He did character designs for Ergo Proxy, Rage of Bahamut and Gantz
The alien and creature designs are by the legendary Yoshimichi Kameda. He's done way too much, but among his notable works includes - FMAB, Mob Psycho and One Punch Man.
But here's the best part, the majority of EP1 was key animated by young new animators, rather then veterans like Kameda. The sheer directorial and storyboard work of the episode director, Abel Gongora (another major member of Science SARU, worked on Scott Pilgrim, Devilman, etc.), made it look this good.

This seriously might be the best animation, stylization, and music in an anime opening ever. Genuinely gives the Mob Psycho 100 first OP a run for its money. Its unbelievable how stylish and unique the animation is, and the song has so much character and charm to it, you can't help but want to groove to it.

This has got to be one of the best openings to any anime ever. It has an amazing hook. It matches the feel of the story. The visuals are absolutely stunning. An opening of this caliber can carry a show through its shortcomings.

Heavily agree. New intro just dropped, and it's not that it's a bad intro by any stretch. This one right here is going to be the one that pops up when they search for the intro to the show just because it goes that hard. It'll most likely get reused later in the series in some format.
