  • Ibstock is a former mining town about 3 miles south of Coalville in North West Leicestershire. The church was built in the 14th century, though the list of encumbents can be traced back to 1160 and it is probably that a Norman church originally stood on the site.
    There are 6 bells in the tower. The tenor weighs 10-1-27cwt. The oldest three bells; the tenor, dating from c.1500; and bells 3 and 5 which date from 1632, are listed for preservation.
