It's astounding because I know so many who would brush off and immediately judge Slipknot and other based on their appearance/music, but they show more emotional maturity here than those other people could ever show in a lifetime. I'm so glad for it. People should always be striving to be better, no matter what their age or backgrounds. If anyone has room for growth, it's people who know they aren't perfect and want to try to put more good into the world, even with things like not wanting to allow hate in their heart. The nicest kindest people I've ever met were metal heads. Something about the aggressive violent music creates an amazing cathartic outlet for those dark feelings we all have at times, leaving nothing but peace and love left over.
Their shows are wild, and very well-produced, and they've always ended their live shows with telling everyone to love each other and that they love the audience. Always heartwarming 🥰
As someone whos closest friends are from bands we've done together starting 25 years ago, it's really cool to see Corey and Shawn here. There is a certain kind of friend it takes to still be close after working together all those years.
I've met Cory once. We had a really heartfelt 1 on 1 conversation for like 10 whole minutes at a music festival. I didn't even realize who he was until about halfway through the conversation. He was a really, REALLY good person. A really cool guy, extremely down to earth. Edit: not sure why some people are saying I'm making this up, because I'm not, but it doesn't matter whether or not you believe me. What matters is that I'll have that memory with me forever, and Cory Taylor is a freaking awesome person.

Its crazy how we see metal music so differently in our older age. I liked slipknot when I was a teen because the way they sounded and the shock value of metal. Now I LOVE them because I understand the lyrics, the way their songs tell a relatable story and I now understand the lyrics aren't about shock value but more so about the difficult emotions of life.
Okay I just wanna bring something to your attention, this is now a VERY rare occurrence to see Corey do a piece to camera whilst wearing a mask. We didn't see anything of his last mask apart from publicity photos and live shows. So pretty rad 🎉

Its crazy how we see metal music so differently in our older age. I liked slipknot when I was a teen because the way they sounded and the shock value of metal. Now I LOVE them because I understand the lyrics, the way their songs tell a relatable story and I now understand the lyrics aren't about shock value but more so about the difficult emotions of life.
Okay I just wanna bring something to your attention, this is now a VERY rare occurrence to see Corey do a piece to camera whilst wearing a mask. We didn't see anything of his last mask apart from publicity photos and live shows. So pretty rad 🎉

Seeing Slipknot live was a core memory of mine. Feeling the ground shake from all the people jumping was insane. It was at a festival and it was only during Slipknot the ground was moving.
