I think that his personality changed over the last few years quite a bit, seems like he is „coming out a shell“ you can really notice it with his change of weight.
My boy lost a good deal of weight. Good for him, he looks good. Still sounds like his good ol' self too. Always fun to hear him chat about stuff as he's clearly passionate about his craft.
Pretty sure he's gotten sober and is either medicated or in therapy. You can see it, his weight alone. He's obviously in a much better place than he has been in decades... Hence the increase in interviews
Mick with a mask: Looks like he could kill you, only his eyes are visible Mick without his mask: Pretty chill but still seems like he could kill you if he wanted, wears sunglasses to cover his eyes

Just wanted to say that I was there the 2 times Slipknot came in Nîmes (the venue that he talks about), the 2 times Slipknot fucking slayed it ! It was brutally the best 2 nights of my life 🤘🤘
Mick is a total bro. Probably not the guy you wanna bother at an airport, but would definitely have some beers and shoot the shit with you at a dive bar (well.. maybe 5-10 mins max 😂)
Holy shit Mick looks great, especially for his age. It’s nice to see that in recent years he’s clearly taken his health super seriously. Really refreshing to see in a world where musicians are destroying themselves from the inside out due to their lifestyles.
I truly never in a million years thought I’d hear Mick Thompson shout out Electric Six. Holy smokes. Legitimately one of the most underrated bands in history.
No way! I've got a Hohner tele copy that I was begging my Dad for for years. He finally caved in and gave it to me on New Year's Eve 2022 and I love it🤘
Mick Thomson - you have NO IDEA how much you are loved by Slipknot fans (Maggots) the world over, dude...thanks for the riffs, the songs...thank YOU! Slipknot fan since '99! All the love! \m/
It's so wild he mentioned Nîmes. I was living in BCN when they played Nîmes in 2019 and my son and I went and saw them there. That venue is so sick, but didn't think he'd mention it.
Hell yes. Got to meet him when he did his Ibanez guitar clinic in Ventura on my birthday and that night he was walking out of the restaurant below my hotel balcony so of course l had to yell down to him and got a massive growl and horns response from him. Seriously the best birthday ever.
I got to meet the band by chance after an Iowa show. Corey was off in the distance winding down, Joey was first to meet me so chill and still full of energy, Paul said a few things, Jim was funny, Mick said there was a new guitar being developed for him. Shawn was quiet. A quick 30 minutes I thanked them for a incredible show and Joey gave me a pillowcase with the Slipknot logo all over it with merch stuffed inside he thanked me for being a fan
This man is in my mind the genius of Slipknot. I mean he wrote the song ‘Metabolic’ and just that alone is the most amazing thing ever. I can’t even handle how good that song is.
Dude. YES. Electric Six RULE, and The Dead South are amazing, the most metal songs outside of metal. Already loved this dude but even more now. What a legend.
Holy shit he has lost weight! Good for Mick las t time I saw them live was Des Moines IA at the state fair and they still killed it! It might not be the same as they used to be but they still always perform and kill it!
Mick is going crazy, hes done more interviews in the last 6 months than he has the entirety of slipknot
Honestly lmao. It was pretty much just the Rig Rundown from 2014 for a *long* ass time
About time tbh
I think that his personality changed over the last few years quite a bit, seems like he is „coming out a shell“ you can really notice it with his change of weight.
As if something is going to happen soon))) Maybe Mick is next...
I’m loving it though, he’s always been my favorite band member
This is probably the most energetic interview I've seen Mick give

Yeah, I wish he would leave the shades off sometimes, so I could see those beautiful blue eyes.

Hardly the best era. Paul gray , and joey jordison the 2 main songwriters are dead and it's basically the Corey and clown show aka Slipsour.

He's into death metal mainly I think. He's probably stayed in Slipknot this long because it's very good money for him haha.

After Joey, Mick was always the most 'extreme' member of Slipknot with regards to music history and tastes... being mainly a death metal guy.
