The Problem with most Gen X'er is that you guys really don't know how to do that! it's a spiritual thing man and sometimes and when you neglect that part of yourself for fame. money and success there are consequences that follow unfortunately.
As an addict. You can sort yourself out for a year look and feel great, then go right back to it again. It's really really hard to explain to people. It makes no sense to the subject most times. When everything goes to sh*t the gear is always there for you.
The comments are always so fucking toxic and hateful until the singer is found dead in their hotel room and then everybody acts all sad, y’all should be ashamed
The bassist from Weezer who died in a hotel room bummed a cigarette off the bassist from my old band after a show... He was very nice and cool to us and we were only 17 or 18 when we opened for his solo band...
Separating the man from the music is important. I can't stand the guy, I wish him the best but I can't stand him. But I love all the music he's been part of. Same with Dave Grohl, absolute garbage of a man, fantastic musician, countless others.

2:47 happened to my brother too. He wasn’t left in a dumpster, but was OD’ing and was abandoned in his car at a Wendy’s. You can be an addict, and still a good person, but a lot are just born without the sense of humanity and will always look out for themselves first. wtf is funny about him looking that different that quick, get a life dude! I seen other footage and theres defo no filter and im sure his age is like old to you perhaps but he obviously is sick cause you dont get looking like that due to age in a year
I get bands need to stay in the public eye with a new album but a loss like Paul is hard. I played in a local band some years ago. If I got sick or had something personal to take care of then I was ridiculed and told I wasn't dedicated to the music. What's sad is the person saying this to me was hooked on pills and could barely play his instrument. He would disappear for hours to days then call everyone to come practice at all hours of the night. I finally got fed up and quit.
I can relate there except in my case the drummer could play well he was just a prick and did cocaine both during practices and away from them Sorry to hear the bad treatment you had that time too dude screw people like that You've got this 🤘
You should have probably reflected. He wasn’t the best judgement of your ‘commitment’ Been there. What is not talked about enough is the fact that bands are also social support groups for ( mostly young guys ) He probably felt you were leaving him when he needed you ( but would never say that or admit it to himself probably ). - this is me looking back from my 51 years. At the time.. I didn’t know shit 🤣👊🏻
Seems when hes "really happy" its followed by something extreme..like a breakup, band problems, depression. As a fellow addict we self-sabatoge. When youre on top you will find a way to fuck it all up. Not saying its 100% what he is doing but follow the patterns in the video. Literally everytime he says he was doing awesome and happy it was always short lived and followed by something negative..
Most of the shit that happens to us is self inflicted. Some of us want to be happy and when you do find that happiness that you thought you wanted, it's boring as hell and will self destruct. I can be like that.
This is me. When you go clean for a certain period of time, you start to become comfortable and confident and that leads to being reckless and being reckless leads back to the addiction. Some people can completely stay away after rock bottom. Some need to not quit but keep it under control or they lose it all. Some have given up and accepted their fate. I for one have made enough mistakes to keep it under control, it's a dangerous game but that's life.
Yes, it is quite common. I experience it every time. When everything seems to look great, I start to feel depressed, because even though I'm doing so well, at the same time I'm waiting for something bad to happen. It's just the power of habit, that happy feeling never lasts too long, and right after that something very difficult comes along. You can't function and enjoy this good period because you are preparing for the next battle. In my case, this is the result of childhood trauma (addiction in the family, distorted emotions, narcissistic and manipulative parent). Very difficult to overcome, it is clenching down on you with all the power of its teeth.
“We said, I love you before we even got off the phone.” “For eight years I was married to the wrong person and it sucked.” That, the other personal decisions, pretty easy to see where the problem is.
Good job buddy….not trying to wreck anything but have u gotten to the point where awful random shit happens to you and you’re like wait I’m walking the right path here whys shit so hard lol….truth that hit me was it’s always been hard I was just too opiated to realize it….keep ur head up keep pushing don’t ever be a slave to a FUCKING THING man :D
Misery loves company, Corey. We're all here to support you. Us maggots, your friends, family... we all know you're far from being done. One of my ex's dad put it best: "the world will slander you, beat you up, pull the rug out from under you, destroy everything you worked for - but they won't eat you." You know that there are MILLIONS of people who see your past, your failures, successes, and yet still think you're the world to them, so stop eating yourself. Take a break, be with family, call up old pals, go see a movie, book a flight to Tahiti; whatever it takes to keep The Great Big Mouth from going quiet.

Sounds like defeatist talk. It's beaten by habit, only you can change a habit. You decide to be a victim and blame it on anything else. At the end of the day no pointless medication, nothing will change because the cause is your behavior. It's easy to not change and then lay blameless. Whether it's drugs, alcohol, obesity, abuse or any negative habit/lifestyle.

I had no idea. I saw Slipknot perform in Springfield Mo a year ago, and they rocked. He spoke to the crowd and seemed so thankful to the fans for coming out to the show .
I wish people would stop blaming Corey for things that have nothing to do with him. I don't blame him for wanting to take time after his friends passing. He was clearly grieving and struggling mentally and needed time to ground himself. The fact that people were upset over him not instantly moving on without taking the time to grieve a lifelong friend is awful.
Chris Fehn should have stuck it out with the lawsuit they treated him bad at the beginning and he had to fight to earn his number 3 and they fired him because he questioned the finances and now Joey's family is now suing them. Slipknot lost their way when Paul died even his widow asked them for help but flatout refused to help him i don't wish ill-will towards him but his ego has caught up to him.
Yes, he should not have relented. They are currently dealing with Joey’s estate suing them, if Chris was still active, they might have had too much pressure and would have to fold to Chris, which is the least that he deserves honestly.
Saw this man live, he had so much energy and really pumped up the crowd. It's a shame what we went through and had to deal with. I hope he can eventually pull through and better himself.
When a band can’t get their shit together and fire members for no reason because they have been on the verge of collapse since 2010 and are too greedy to realize it. I love slipknot and all but Jesus Christ the state of the band now is pathetic, Paul and Joey would be ashamed.
This is how you successfully run a musical empire from the foundation on upwards, a team oriented smoothly running operation builds both solid earnings along with employee trustworthy support in the corporation & makes stock prices skyrocket! 🤘😎👍
Mental health sucks it has its ups and very very lows I suffer through PTSD chronic depression and social anxiety it sucks and how we handle it is how it defines us sometimes we just can't handle it
And that is why i decided to go straight edge. Not saying that everyone should suddenly stop drinking and smoking. Far from it. To each their own. But the amount of Metal musicians battling with addictions and mental trauma is absolutely disturbing. I hate seeing Corey in this state. I wish him all the best from the bottom of my heart.
@@JackPeloquin i’m sure OP knows that. He is just stating that it was HIS decision to go Straight Edge. However, I do agree that people misuse the terms “sober” and straight edge frequently.
Taylor seems to say periods of his life are the worst ever with almost every period. It starts to seem like he needs to do something to fix it. There’s always obstacles you just need to overcome them. Also I don’t think it was just the touring that put strain on his body, it might also have to do with alcoholism and the way he treats his body. Just saying it seems like they complain about money a lot but I don’t see them living in rags.
Still love Slipknot from the early days ‘99-‘08 with original band members still active and stil alive (The Gray Chapter good too with new members 2014) Music lives on! ❤️🤘🎤🎸🪕🎸🥁🍻
Corey didn’t fire Joey why the fuck would you shift all the blame on him? Joey said it was management. Plus you act like he was let go for no good reason he had a disease and was kind of an unreliable junkie at that time tbh
@@romaretaylor9953 Diference between Corey and Joey is that Joey is finding member. So, who ever did that to Joey, i never listen to Slipknot after he died.
10:00 "That's what keeps me alive, Slipknot fans are insane."😭💔 I truly believe that Joey being kicked out of Slipknot was the catalyst for his untimely death!! I have a hard time with listening to the band and the firing of Chris, Joey, and now Craig and Jay! Especially after Joey's death. I think it's pretty apparent that him being fired is directly related to his passing. He was heartbroken!!😢 I don't wish anything bad on Corey though, because well that's not who I am!! RIP Paul Gray RIP Joey Jordison
I respect the fact that he struggled through a bad childhood, worked hard and became successful. What sometimes happens and they may not even realize it, is when they get the fame, fortune and have a troubled past, they get that “diva-complex”. I think of Nikki Sixx as well. I care but get sick of all the drama. I liked old Slipknot but like many bands, they become a corporation. Slipknot Inc.
'They'? That could literally happen to anyone who achieves some sort of fame. Anyone. Also, he seems to very honestly acknowledge his ego issues (both past and more recent ones), so don't make him look like someone who isn't that self-aware. It's definitively not his case.

No it's trauma dude. The body keeps score. Even when all the cards align and life is great your pattern comes out as a defence mechanism as if "wait, everything is quite right now.. uh oh sh*T's about to go down " It's a horrible cycle dude
😢 This is very sad and unfortunate! I hope he takes Corey time and takes time for himself. I don't want to see another light go out. Leave a light on and send him love. #makechesterproud
It breaks my heart that Corey has to continue to go through this kind of heartbreaking bullshit.. between his two bands and his covers his voice and the soul that comes from that has been so helpful to so many of us..
Number 1: Both Jay and Craig were fired behind their backs, they did not just leave. Number 2: If it were true that Slipknot doesn't make a lot of money, why can they afford to be on hiatus for 4 years after every album and tour? Corey Taylor has proven multiple times that he is a liar and a manipulator. I hate that he turned out to be those things, but he is.
Its just enough time to live off the fans until having to put another piece of garbage out. I agree with this comment and its crazy no one else see s it. He is a fraud. And a cornball. Everyone leaves the band. Then corey claims this next album will be number 1. Hah. He wants to be one of the greats who died in their prime. Aint gonna happen.

Taylor gets in relationships like the South Park episode where Cartmans mom has a new lover every other day and thinks it’s her Prince Charming every time.
lol no he doesn’t. Good reference though ha ha. But Corey has had several long-term relationships. He’s not just jumping into fling after fling, like your average chick.
I lost quite a lot of respect for Corey, and Shawn when he allowed Corey to act like the band princess. And they way they treated Joey Jordison when he had his health problems, and the way the let him down and then fired him was absolutely unacceptable. The same regarding Chris. Regarding Joey, I think this firing from band was a drop in the glass, that already was quite full and in the end meant, Joey died of Fentanyl just like Paul, i know it was never confirmed that Joey overdosed on Fentanyl, but rumours say so, and he was depressed. Corey have been acting kinda like the whole bands princess, if you get my point. It was Coreys way or the high way. Even the wat Jay Weinberg and the band parted ways was just meaningless. Jay was not better than joey, but he did good and played great, but this new guy, is way of drumming is not even near Joey or Jay. Its like, yes he play Metal, but not the slipknot way. You may say "You should respect people with hardship in their lives", i know, BUT you have to work with yourself before it gets better, and NEVER blame other (yell, blaim and do stuff to other) ask for help. Being in some hardship does not make it okay to be an a-hole!
I get your point but did Corey blamed anyone in these interviews/appearances? I am not in the offense here, I am genuinely asking, I do not know that much about the history of the band and Corey and I actually am curious about the accusations you have stated in your comment.
19:14 Disturbingly numb and still give me goosebumps to this day when matching his songs up to his problems he had it really all comes together... Chris Cornell another one that I just didn't see coming at all... Man whatver the hell Cory has or had going on let's hope that he just deals with it. I don't care what Slipknot as a band does with whatever they do in the future for their band, yeah somethings sucked a lot that I didn't understand, still don't, and don't like but I just like their music from the past anyways, don't care what happens now just hope that everyone's thriving and living their life. Dying is inevitable, it's part of the lofe or should I say territory that comes and has came with our mortal existence, but getting it taken away if nt shortly by sickness, fatal injuries, harm from others in public, or self harm god forbid all can come up in one thing unexpectedly and misfortune... Dying in one's sleep I had just learned is probably one of the best best if not peaceful ways to go NATURALLY with no force and has no pain at all so that's not so bad to me really felt less bad and worries for those who have already fallen it in the past because what more can you ask for than that when death shows up randomly and are string you right in the face. Anyways, TEDTalk rant over but live life to the fullest, snd enjoy whatever you have now with others if you can.
I wish him to get through this and get back on his feet. But Corey's being such an egoistical and narcissistic person that he's starting tu burn all of his bridges. Losing the trust of your closest ones is a pain in the ass, but it's mostly your own fault. I really hope he recognizes his mistakes and start to mature as a person, because we all can see how his personality can mess up with his mind and his music. It's never too late to improve and grow up.
No. But I've watched nearly every interview he has ever done. The song lyrics he writes . His back history and upbringing. How he presents and speaks. His emotional responses to different situations and how he speaks of them. And I identify with it all .and I'm self aware diagnosed 2021. Like I say purely my opinion purely based on observation not conclusive fact by any stretch of the imagination
I can't even begin to imagine. I truly hope Corey finds himself back to the road of fulfillment and self worth. He's worth it. Your fans are rooting for you! ❤🩹
Good video, I remember feeling so alive and relieved after a good scream along to Slipknots self titled album back when i was 15. (2000) I'm glad to see Corey is still here with us and pray he summons the strength to keep kickin ass.. Life sucks imo the older and more run down i get, but I know it's just the depression...( the whole thing I think is sic) And with that it's time to put on some music.
iv been a crazy fan since 01ish seen them loads in london ect but last 3 years something kinda just felt different for me. BUT mental health and addiction problems are no easy ride and sadly if your lost in both same time, you cant be a friend to yourself, much less anyone else, i know this first fucking hand..I have a bad feeling though, that he is has a serious health problem now.Bless him either way and i hope to the universe and bk, he gets better, whatever is going on. Being a rock star is not condusive to getting or staying sober. Most folks think being a rock star is the ultimate, not realizing months on the road away from family, alone in tour busses and hotel rooms for months on end, and being surrounded by people using drugs and alcohol. Having a support system is essential for anyone in recovery.
I hope he gets better for him and his family. Slipknot got me through alot in life the loss of friends, breakups, and a bunch of bad days when they finally split its like I lost something. Get better brother we love seeing u up and takin names and kicking ass
You are correct! He’s struggling with the lawsuit from Joeys family. He looks like the ass, Joeys family most likely think he is, if he goes out touring, during the lawsuit. Watch and see. IMO.
Unpopular opinion: Maybe he should get fired from the band. That seems to be the solution to most of these issues within Slipknot. When the beloved front man has issues, it's ok. Take time. We love you. If not. Fuck off, right? Corey and Clown have made it very clear that's how they handle business.
@@JargoniusMaximuscould be that karmic energy biting him back. Lost my last shred of respect for them when the fired Jay Weinberg over Text with no explanation. These guys are fading fast.
Karma doesn’t exist. However guilt certainly does, and you can definitely see it all over this man’s face. Him and Clown have betrayed their own band and their “brotherhood” is a sham. This band is a shell of what it once was, and I agree 100% with what you said about how they done their “brothers” so wrong and dirty.
I don't like the current way Slipknotjas been going with things NGL but I don't want Cory to take his own life if he ever did or try. No, I don't or wouldn't want that for him, only some mad insane hater from reddit, twitter, or 4chan would probably want it but I'm just speaking for myself here.

Trust this: he’s not gonna kill himself. I think this is about the lawsuit concerning Joeys family. He just looks like he’s the ass Joeys family most likely think he is, if he just goes out touring lalalala, while he’s involved heavily, in a lawsuit.

Corey is fighting things inside of his on mind that most of us ( those who don't suffer from depression) will never be able to understand. My wife suffers from severe depression , anxiety , and PTSD. And its not easy to be that support pillar for her , but she needs me in more ways than one. She needs someone to be there , to pick her up , to let her know she is loved and that she matters. THAT is what Corey needs , our respect , support , and our love. This man is worthy of help , he is worth of love. We need to let him know that. Because through his music , he was there for all of us. Even if he didn't realize it.
I am not much of a fan of Cory as a person a lot lately, but I wish him the best. Mental health struggles suck. Hopefully he can get where he needs to be
I watched an interview he did 9 months ago on the Rock Feed RUclips Channel. He talks about the physical ailments that he suffers on a daily basis which has taken a toll on his body. He said when he walks, he is in constant pain every day in his feet, knees, etc. Being in pain every day sucks the life out of you.

On that note, this is a good study business because: Jordison said that the band will always exist as if Slipknot was a creature of its own and that being the case, it continued even without Jordison and Taylor has also said that Slipknot is bigger that the sum of its parts, whetever the hell that means. A band is a business no matter how romantic some people want to make having a band seem...it's a business, it's a company...
I remember Clown saying years back that he's always envisioned a day when Slipknot would have no original members left; it was a band intended to carry on even through new generations of members. In fact, he was considering his son as his replacement at that point, saying he only had a few years left in him. This was like 12+ years ago, I think, haha.
@@hangedups2608 And that's why there's a lot of losers complaining that "you can't make money off of music" I did not spend years learning many instruments and audio production, strings, cables, amps, mikes, stands, gas, holidays for a hobby. "Picking through the parts exposed Taking shape, taking shag Over and over and under my skin All this momentum is doing me in" Funny how those lyrics are probably even more relevant to Corey years after they were written by him while he was working overnight at a sex toy shop .
He need God and also need to forgive people in his life....Guilt and anger is weighing him down .. also he complained alot and stated every part of his life is worse than other but reality is every human has a inner demon to fight on and more or less people around the world struggle the same but we cant whining around or blame some drugs or addiction.... No one has the right to compare who is better or worse than the other but many Third world people literally struggle for a plain meal a day.. we should be grateful of our present situation, feel gratitude, move on, surrender, find peace and not to forget someone out there at the corner of the world whose life is far worst than us.
Didn't he take that dumpster story word for word from another musician? Edit: Yes he did, he straight up just took the story from Nikki Sixxs' biography
I’m sure he’s not the only person who has ever overdosed and been hidden in a dumpster. They were young and dumb. I’m sure his friends were freaking out.

I used to be a Slipknot fan back in the day but kind of moved on after Iowa. I watched many interviews with Slipknot and knew they started as a group of toxic guys working out their stuff through their shows and I knew Corey had a very bad history with his family but I did watch a video a few years ago where he said that he had been sober for seven years and loved to be at home with his kids and lay on his couch all day and when he met his then wife and her parents were concerned how he could support them he said he was worth I think $30 million. I hope Corey does finally get his life together. I have watched so many interviews with metal bands and so many of their fans have told them of their abuses so they have to deal with those stresses too along with relentless touring and drugs and alcohol.
I remember seeing him on the English program 'Sunday Brunch" and he was so up beat, happy and positive for the future. I hope he finds the "light" I really do.
I don't like to see anyone struggle. I hope he can get his life back on track. Don't judge anyone unless you have walked in their shoes. We don't need to lose him too.
As much as I like Slipknot, I’m going to lose my fucking mind if I hear another celebrity talk about their mental breakdown. It’s like, you’re rich beyond imagination. Take some time off, find a hobby, and do that until your passion comes back. It’s not like this guy has a shitty job at 7/11, living paycheque to paycheque, driving a rust bucket that constantly breaks down and can barely afford food. THAT shit is hard! Being a rockstar is probably a really hard job though, but here’s the secret: you can stop being one anytime you want! It’s like these guys want all the positives and none of the negatives that come with fame. If it’s that hard, quit the band and go find a regular job. I guarantee that after seeing your paycheque for 40+ hours, you’ll realize how lucky you are to be up on that stage. Anyway, whatever.
@@psykosvin It’s actually very simple. If you’re a successful musician making tons of money, yet don’t like the rigours of the lifestyle like touring, performing every night and you want to spend more time with your family or whatnot…then you can stop touring and being a musician. You presumably have enough money in your bank account to step away and go on hiatus and decide if you want to continue living the lifestyle or not. There is a world of difference between that rich rockstar and someone who is genuinely trapped in a minimum wage job working paycheque to paycheque who couldn’t take a day off, even if they could somehow afford to do so. It’s like, when they can afford to fly to some private beach on the other side of the planet in their private jet for a week or two, or longer, when they can afford to see the best doctors and psychiatrists in the country, when they can afford to just stop working for literally however long you want, it’s EXTREMELY aggravating to hear them talk about their deteriorating mental health. I just want to yell “then stop what you’re doing!! You can afford to do so!!” I think the big problem is that their ego won’t let them stop. When they’ve been #1, it’s hard to not be #1 anymore, not to mention the pressures of social media. Fortunately it’s easy to ignore social media if you want. So yup, that’s my explanation. 🤷🏼♂️
I’m sort of at this point right now in my life. Like not really that bad but I’m always anxious. I’m always nervous. I’m never hungry. Confused, often angry most of the time . And I really can’t even tell you why .. I have a lot of unresolved stuff from when I was running around doing drugs but. Theoretically, I’m doing the best I’ve ever been but, sometimes, if you look at me, think I’m doing drugs, even though I haven’t touched heroin in 14 years. It’s the anxiety and depression. That makes me never wanna eat.
People just need to leave him alone... He's done it all, he's changed the music industry, he's got a family that he's missed out on them growing up cause of touring, he's a legend... Just leave him alone and let him do his own thing.. He doesn't owe anyone anything... If he wants to quit slipknot then let him, iv seen him live, he's brilliant.. slipknot can't last forever, be happy with what he's done and achieved in life from coming from nothing... I know the feeling... Drugs, family issues, he's helped me over the years and I thank him for that
Idk the facts behind it... but I truly believe corey and clown contributed to joeys death. Joey loved slipknot, the way all us maggots did. Also id take all hope is gone over any album that came after. Joey and paul were the main song writers in slipknot... you can easily tell. I have been obsessed with slipknot since i was 9 years old when iowa came out. But atleast in my opinion. I have no respect for the band i held so high. It Legitimately makes me sad.
As someone who lives in Des Moines and was in the band 12 Ga Floss that opened their first show as Slipknot, in 1996 before Corey, you have this figured out correctly, more than you know! I’ve met all of the original band members, and I could talk about Slipknot facts all day long. Shawn Crahan is a hack musician. Joey, Paul, Jim, and Mick, that core of the band, was the thing that propelled them to the top. Corey was the icing that took them over the top. That’s the actual real Slipknot recipe right there. That band is long gone now. It is sad indeed.
Oh, I have to give Josh Brainard a shout out here too, because he wrote and played on the first Slipknot album, and he was obviously pretty talented, and does deserve a huge kudos, on their success. Being in the Des Moines area, any and all the local musicians knew each other, there is literally no scene here. Incredibly small, for instance, Josh Brainard was in my brothers class in our high school, S.E.Polk. I was 3 years older than them. I’m 53 next month.
The only little thrill I get, from having seen them before they were big rock stars, is to occasionally pop in to a Slipknot discussion, and just tell my true story, knowing the unsuspecting, you in this case, most likely will think this is BS. But I assure you, I am telling you nothing but the truth as I see it, and it a cheap thrill for me. So thank you for playing along.
Oh, my take on this video!?!?Corey knows this lawsuit from Joeys family, is a real thing, and it doesn’t shed a good light on him to concurrently be out and about care free touring! Like, look! I could care less about the Joey situation. He knows it won’t look good, because they indeed have been pushing on with business with little regard for the members who’ve fallen by the wayside. He knows it’s in his best interest to appear to take the allegations very seriously. That’s my thoughts on his cancellations
Yo what's up with that thumbnail?! That's clearly a filter lol. Obvious clickbait, but anyways I watched that recent video of Corey's and I must agree I think he did look a bit rough and exhausted!! Man being a rock star and having that kinda lifestyle, whether there is substance abuse going on or not, it would definitely take a toll on you mentally and physically. To perform show after show, and rehersals, and travelling, then writing and recording etc etcand just everything else you might do in between....that must be absolutely hectic and fucking exhausting. Everyone needs a break sometimes.
I met Corey years ago . A friend of mine knew Slipknot. Stone Sour was playing Harpos in Detroit . My friend got me backstage ( small ass little room ) to meet Corey . One of the coolest down to earth people you could hope to meet !

Literally everytime he says he was doing awesome and happy it was always short lived and followed by something negative..
Merry go round and round 👍
Most of the shit that happens to us is self inflicted. Some of us want to be happy and when you do find that happiness that you thought you wanted, it's boring as hell and will self destruct. I can be like that.
My experiences learned me that on moments that you're at your highest, you can fall the deepest
“We said, I love you before we even got off the phone.”

Aye it's truly bizarre isn't it? The expectations that come from some fans is borderline psychotic.
Even rock stars have to prioritize their life over what the public thinks they should be doing
No I have to agree with Joey Jordanason on this one, the show must go on. Its show biz man
Chris Fehn should have stuck it out with the lawsuit they treated him bad at the beginning and he had to fight to earn his number 3 and they fired him because he questioned the finances and now Joey's family is now suing them.

But the amount of Metal musicians battling with addictions and mental trauma is absolutely disturbing. I hate seeing Corey in this state. I wish him all the best from the bottom of my heart.

I think he is a borderline

Blessing Corey✨✨
We went over his tragedies publicly like 50 times already. Latest tragedy: might fall from the upper middle class.
I hope he gets better for him and his family. Slipknot got me through alot in life the loss of friends, breakups, and a bunch of bad days when they finally split its like I lost something. Get better brother we love seeing u up and takin names and kicking ass
The guilt of fucking over people in the band.
What a shit take
just like corey said by the end of this video... "there's always a way out". lmfao
that and also the fact that he sent the band into such a garbage direction of music.
Yep, i thought the same thing.... Clown is still all smiles though.
Blasphemy! ...but also.... fuggin truth
I thought and feel exact same. Dude is a top man but lives with demons,i can relate. Chris Cornell i saw in 2009 then Soundgarden 2012 and i still havent not ever will get over him and Chester what a performer and their Pits!! Fk shiit. Them 2 were so close and its like all i had left was slipknot. Whatever Corey decides to do, i wish him all the wellness and happiness. Im seeing just a bit to much judgment and it pissing me off, like any of them walked his shoes!
Oh hellz no, I mean i aint of fan of Corey these days, I used to love him but fkn ell, don't want the dude to unalive himself! That would be horrific, genuinely hope he gets better
Trust this: he’s not gonna kill himself. I think this is about the lawsuit concerning Joeys family. He just looks like he’s the ass Joeys family most likely think he is, if he just goes out touring lalalala, while he’s involved heavily, in a lawsuit.
Yeah, he’s STRUGGLING with a lawsuit!
Every fan that loves music has to appreciate what these guys go through to get there. We often only see the glamorous part. It can be a fragile exisitnace as these guys are human just like us. To all the bands that have made incredible music for us to enjoy...Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
corey please dont relapse we all know we gonna hear the iowa screams again, but u will fuck ur self up soo much again, please dont give up on us i love you man❤
Corey is fighting things inside of his on mind that most of us ( those who don't suffer from depression) will never be able to understand.
Your wife is so fortunate to have you
I am not much of a fan of Cory as a person a lot lately, but I wish him the best.
Get well soon dude ❤
Tomorrow can be better than today. Positive proactive mindset helps as does activities you enjoy. I have a handful of years left n determined to keep smiling. Hope if you're struggling today that you manage some rest tonight. Reach out online if youre alone x
Good luck BRO, I too struggle with depression and it's a MOTHER FUCKER, glad you were able to CATCH IT and DEAL WITH IT BEFORE ITS TO LATE. Hoping and praying for you. You have ALWAYS been one of my FAVORITES!!! (Chad Grey, Layne Staley and Corey Taylor) are the BEST DAMN VOCALS EVER and i will ARGUE THAT TIL I TAKE MY LAST BREATH...G9OOD LUCK BRO❤

Take care of yourself, please. The world needs you, man! We are family and friends.🤘
I don't care what anyone says IOWA was slipknot at their peak of greatness, everything after that was watered down bird shit
Right!! 2 first are on another level
On that note, this is a good study business because:
Jordison said that the band will always exist as if Slipknot was a creature of its own and that being the case, it continued even without Jordison and Taylor has also said that Slipknot is bigger that the sum of its parts, whetever the hell that means.
NO ITS ONLY A BUSINESS IF YOU MAKE IT ONE
@@hangedups2608 And that's why there's a lot of losers complaining that "you can't make money off of music"
I did not spend years learning many instruments and audio production, strings, cables, amps, mikes, stands, gas, holidays for a hobby.
Then again, people can do or think whatever they want but then why come and talk shit about somebody who got his money a certain way and call him names too?
If I decide to play for free of pennis, why get angry at someone else who is getting millions off of people buying his stuff???
When I was a child I remember trips to goodwill drop boxes (Portland Ore.) in the middle of the night. My mom and her boyfriend, looking for the treasure that was ..."one mans garbage" 1969 btw.
"Picking through the parts exposed
Taking shape, taking shag
Over and over and under my skin
All this momentum is doing me in"
Funny how those lyrics are probably even more relevant to Corey years after they were written by him while he was working overnight at a sex toy shop .
From "Wait And Bleed" to "Nothing on this planet is worth going away for." Leave him alone. You know or you don't.
Who said he doesn't know God? You can read his heart?
Didn't he take that dumpster story word for word from another musician?
Edit: Yes he did, he straight up just took the story from Nikki Sixxs' biography
Look. This is a guy who thought it was ok to email #1 that he was outa the band... while he was in the hospital.
I expect anything from him.
I’m sure he’s not the only person who has ever overdosed and been hidden in a dumpster. They were young and dumb. I’m sure his friends were freaking out.

No band in the world is worth ruining your health. If you can't go on, don't force yourself on it. Just quit. End of story.
So what should they do, quit and be poor and have people feel sorry for them? Nothing is lamer than that. You soldier on until you can't anymore
I was a 23yr addict walking this earth as an atheist, thought I had everything figured out. When I turned 36, I had 1 incident that changed it all for me. DONT FIGHT AGAINST THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE YOU. GOD IS WAITING FOR YOU

Man, I really hope Corey is okay. He's up there With Chester for me. It seems all of the GOATS are the heavily mentally ill.
Let’s report this video for click bait for that aged filter, your videos are entertaining enough that you don’t need to do that bs man
i find the fact this guy tries to point part of the blame towards joey jordison is fucking disgusting
Humility, gratitude, and honesty. Years to find, but great to live in
Amen
0:52 - "Corey Taylor's Swift Descent"
That's a sick name for a band.
Really nobody's business. The families and that's it. Just cause one buys a CD don't mean ya own that bugger.
Corey should leave Slipknot
Being in slipknot is the one thing holding him together. Imagine what he would do to himself upon leaving.
Slipknot is Corey’s voice, if he leaves thats it for the band!
slipknot is what made him who he is
Kinda
You should shut your mouth slipknot is the dream band
He is scared that Clown is gonna fire him
I remember seeing him on the English program 'Sunday Brunch" and he was so up beat, happy and positive for the future. I hope he finds the "light" I really do.
The video in the car looks really sick. I don't want to think he has cancer or something.
He is drained and sad in the video.
It is pretty SiC
@@marissac870time and a place dude
You dont get it.
@@psykosvin I absolutely do get it.
@@norcodaev then explain to me, because then i dont get it. No shaming intended.
There is a world of difference between that rich rockstar and someone who is genuinely trapped in a minimum wage job working paycheque to paycheque who couldn’t
take a day off, even if they could somehow afford to do so.
You can afford to do so!!”
I think the big problem is that their ego won’t let them stop.
Couldn't care less about this guy.
Yet here you are
I absolutely believe how bad his body is.hes a fucking madman on stage and has been killing it for 27 years.
Drugs, family issues, he's helped me over the years and I thank him for that
How exactly did he change the music industry?
100% agree !
Rich people problems.
Mr Taylor you can do ANYTHING U WANNA DO!!! STAY WITH YOUR ART, MAN🎉❤😢
Yo what's up with that thumbnail?!
No it’s not? Unless he removed it
I met Corey years ago . A friend of mine knew Slipknot. Stone Sour was playing Harpos in Detroit . My friend got me backstage ( small ass little room ) to meet Corey . One of the coolest down to earth people you could hope to meet !
Who cares corey your a bad mf and if you need time for yourself and your family then take it. It's not about us it's about you and your family brother. We will always be here. Hope you the best bro.
