He mentioned a while back that while on tour he ate a lot of fast food which I guess made him bigger, but I see he's cut down a lot on that. I just hope he isn't sick and isn't telling anyone.
Mick, I’ve tried every social media platform to get ahold of you. I took guitar lessons from you 24 years ago at Ye Old guitar shoppe. You sold me your practice Ibanez RG (dark red) and your practice amp. Sadly I don’t have the amp anymore (long sad story that pisses me off every time I think about it) but the guitar I have treated like one of my children. I now live south of Des Moines, but was wondering if you would sign it for me. No way in hell will I ever sell this guitar. Too many memories. You changed the way I thought about guitar, then you taught me how to play it. I always thought it was bullshit that you were in the back hallway while Mike had his own room lol. Thinking back on it now, you wouldn’t have had it any other way haha. Hopefully this message reaches you.
It ain't rare to hear Mick talk. He always talked he even talked in 2005 when voliminal came out. He talked about his gear years years later you just have to look super clear on youtube
@@TheIcpfan23 yeah i know there is some stuff out there but it´s so little compared to what you would find from any other of the remaining founding members.
That" somebody else heard something and saw us" was Sophia John from 89.7 The River in Council Tucky IOWA. whom is credited by many reputable sources as the one that DISCOVERED Slipknot back in 1998-1999 days. I was there. I remember being from Omaha hearing all sorts of and seeing all sorts of stuff. Good times.
It’s part of his look and persona, but I gotta say, if this dude shaved his beard he’d look 20 years younger EASY. Especially now that he’s slim. This man is one of my greatest inspirations for writing riffs 🤘🤘 Long live 7!
Kinda funny I was briefly in the scene then left and moved to TN from 93-97. Missed so many good local bands in that time period including Bodypit. When I came back everyone was talking about Slipknot.. Listened to the CD MFKR.. Was like huh? This is popular? Hadn't seem them live yet. Finally did then the light went on.. Then of course after hearing their RR debut.. Just blew me away. Been a proud fan ever sense. Sadly not too many local bands have done anthing since. A few have done pretty well.. Dead Horse Trauma, Index Case, Saul, Destrophy, Widow 7, Painface.. Of course non of my bands lol.
MICK IS REALLY THIN AND REALLY OPEN AS OF LATE. HE IS FEELING GOOD, ACCOMPLISHED AND IM READY FOR HIM TO START AND BREAKDOWN HOW EVERY SONG WAS WRITTEN.....RIFF WISE. I KNOW HOW EVERYTHING START. JUST 2 BREAKDOWNS.....HOW DID PEOPLE AND DISASTERPIECE COME ABOUT
Probably under rated but easily one of the most influential players from the past 25 years hands down ...thanks for the good times mick you played the soundtrack for my life brother salute 🫡

@@kingpriapatius5832 Seymour Duncan goes about sales in its own way. Fishman, on the other hand, besides catering to numerous modern metal players who play six, seven, and eight-string guitars, predominantly markets the six-string version of their pickups, as evidenced by signature pickups such as those of Scott LePage, Tim Henson, and Devin Townsend.
@@werberthvinicius4159 Most guitarists play 6-string guitars. EMG does the same. He plays in low tunings, and his previous company did the same. If he was Clapton, it would not have been very meaningful, but it makes perfect sense when you play drop-B and drop-A tunings.
I believe he believes everything he is saying - but not everyone agrees. I think it has to do with age and what sounds people grew up with. Personally, I do not like active pickups and the Fishman's are no different in that regard - Just because I don't like them does not mean they aren't good - they are good. I have them in 3 guitars and I enjoy the sounds. They sound good, they perform just fine and I can use them no problem. The thing is, for me, I prefer the sound of passive pickups...and that's all there is to it....at 60 years old, I also don't like too much technology in guitar equipment or batteries in my guitar - so that's my opinion. Les Paul, Tele, Strat and a Charvel, Tube amp, passive pickups a cable and a pick. If you can't make that sound good, then the problem lies elsewhere.

It’s such a treat when Mick makes a public appearance or interview.
Him and Jim Root are big inspirations for me with learning how to play guitar.
Mick and Jim are two of the coolest dudes in the industry.
Everytime I see Mick talking my day gets better
That's sad😂
Mick is such a good storyteller. He should write a book about the formation of Slipknot from his vantage point.
Mick looks thin, sounds calm and enthusiastic. I love him ❤
Dude looks fantastic. It’s great to see him investing in his health as he’s gotten older.
He's actually BAGUL from Sinister.
He mentioned a while back that while on tour he ate a lot of fast food which I guess made him bigger, but I see he's cut down a lot on that. I just hope he isn't sick and isn't telling anyone.
Mick seems to be so much happier and approachable these days, you love to see it.
Still feels like he could be intimidating if he wants to be. Lol. But he’s a nice guy!
Mick doing interviews is refreshing. Nice to hear anyone other than Clown and Corey talk.
He's so well-spoken. Doesn't seem to need to talk but knows what he has to say if prompted to.
An excellent synopsis.
i love Mick
So he basically just told us all how the band was formed. I hope you all listened closely. Authentic as fuck!
He sounded so happy and excited telling the story 🤠
Can't believe how fit Mick's gotten since AHIG, props man!
Been a Slipknot fan since 2000 and Mick has always been my favourite member.
"What ive learned is don't make plans" got it Mr. 7 ill take that as a motto.
I love the Slipknot formation storytelling from Mick Thomson here! Wonderful work!
Let’s gooooooo probably the biggest signing by Fishman so far.
Him or Richard kruspe
I would argue that one of the biggest they’ve ever signed is Stephen Carpenter
And Jerry Cantrell
@@nickoftime3170 Jerry Cantrell isn't a fluence artist, he is an acoustic pickup artist
Matt heafy is a big name too

Mick was a big guy a few years back.. now he is looking slim and sharp.
Nice to hear Mick talk about the early days.
Seriously! I’ve been waiting for something like this for SO long.
Fishman brought more content out of Mick in 4 months than anyone in 25 years. I’m here for it. One of my favorite players.
super interesting, it´s so rare to hear mick talk... thx for the upload
I can't wait to see you recording new shows dude!

Mick and Jim are the shit! Two guitarists that compliment each other is a beautiful thing
Micks really slimmed down. Good work!
Micks the GOAT!
The edit skills is 🔥🔥🔥
Wow, Mick is well spoken. Seems like he's a pretty smart dude.
Could not trust more the group of ears and experience behind these pickups. Stoked to see come to life. 🤘

Mick woke up and chose to lore dump the best metal history ever wtf! Best Mick interview ever :O ??
I laughed when he mentioned the old Carvin cabinet, I still have one and it's fantastic!
Mr.Sev7n The King 🦁 👑
Last time I saw and heard Mick unmasked he was looking 3x chunkier. Love that he's been taking care of himself. Looking real lean and mean!
