  • Peckleton is a small village to the South West of Leicester, about half way between Leicester and Hinckley. The population of the civil parish of Kirkby Mallory, Peckleton and Stapleton is just over 1000 people. Peckleton is in the Hinckley District of the Leicester Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers.
The church dates from the early to mid 14th Century, and includes 15th and 16th Century alterations. Major restorations in 1869 raised the nave roof and chancel floor. The nave has a south aisle with 16th century clerestories and Victorian north and south porches.
The bells are rung from the ground floor. There are 6 bells, the tenor weighing 9-1-6 cwt. More details of the bells can be found here: dove.cccbr.org...
    Note on the ringing:
The recording is taken from a quarter peal rung for the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations on 5th June 2022. The method being rung is St Martins doubles, and at the end of the excerpt the method is changed to Plain Bob. bb.ringingworl...
