I think more people should have to watch Botched before getting these procedures done. Like, hear from other people how plastic surgery affected their life when it went wrong. Some of these people have horrible, life-long problems as a result of these decisions. Of course, those against all plastic surgery should also watch Botched and Botched by Nature. People do get these types of surgeries as a result of other things going on (car crash, dog bite, ball to the face at the exact wrong spot). There were two or so women who lost portions of their face in the process of removing cancer (remember to wear your sunscreen, folks).

When I was young I wanted a boy due to my stuggles. Being a women in this world is hard and I would never want to raise my daughter in this society. Being judged for everything we do. Plus I was SA and Im afraid ..... that that would happen to my future daughter also. This world is to cruel on women. I would NEVER do this to my daughter. She's 13 now, and I have made it clear that she can stay with me at home as long as she needs to. I want her to have time to learn financial stability and not feel rushed into any marriage type situation. Unfortunately, this is very common in the American South. Homes that are in poverty tend to kick kids out even earlier. I had friends in high school that were kicked out at 16. These were not bad kids. These were kids on the honor roll that were in college prep courses. The thought process is that the parents believe kids should only be financially provided until they are older enough to legally work a job. They believe any child that is older than 16 still living at home is lazy and a mooch. I had to beg to stay in the family home and make an agreement to work, contribute to the household expenses, and go to college on scholarship at the same time! They started packing my stuff my senior year of high school, thinking they could kick me out on my 18th birthday. I surprised them by getting a full scholarship. Then, after much begging, I was allowed to stay during summers and Christmas break in college. My forced move out date was the day after college graduation. Nothing makes you feel more unwanted than your parents wanting you gone as soon as possible!

I am Australian. I was kicked out at 15, and I struggled to continue my education then. My choices were to spend my little money on food for the week or buy bus tickets to school and go hungry. I loved school, and I was really good at it. I had little to no life skills after being raised by an abusive parent. I just had concepts of what not to be like. I have spent my adult life playing catch-up and learning to be a person. Twenty years on, I still feel like I am behind in life. My children know of my upbringing and that it will never be their cross to bear; they will always have a soft place to fall, a chair at the table, and our love and support.
