as someone with trichotillomania, I can 100% understand the appeal of this surgery. I just wonder what happens if you get this but aren't actively treating your trich or if you relapse & pull out your new transplants
I was just thinking that! I have trich as well, but I think pulling out your new transplant would reallyyyyyyy hurt. Probably to the point where you never wanna touch your eye again 😂
I was thinking the same. They'll probably pull them out. I don't know if lip picking is similar but I used to pick the skin off my lips years ago and if somebody put some new lips on before I stopped I would've picked those off too lol
I do this but with picking my skin. It's true it does calm my anxiety for some reason and the urge to do it is usually irresistible..and then you start getting the consequences like scars etc...i wonder if it has a name I'm sure it does
Why do people keep messing with their eyes?! I lost my left eye when I was 9 and I refuse to do anything that could mess my eyes up!!! I even stopped getting lash extensions because it’s just too risky.
Well for me, my lashes are rather thin and very blonde, so they are crap at blocking glare... I can see the appeal when you have to cake mascara on anytime you go out on a sunny day... the eye pain sucks.
Yeah my mum is blind in one eye and really seeing impaired in the other and also she has very small and sparse eyelashes but she never ever touches her eyes because the risk is to high. One time she got pink eye in her seeing eye and she was completely blind for a week. She has instilled in me too that honestly beyond mascara or a medical necessity just don’t touch your eyes. @ava4689 No, I've actually worn colored contact lenses for decades. I let an eye doc convince me to try clear lenses, which I couldn't see at all. It had slid up inside my eyelid & I thought I had scratched my cornea trying to get it out. Instead, it ended up adhered to my cornea, but I couldn't see it. It was a mess & I ended up in the ER. Weeks of my husband prying my eyelid open to put in my prescription drops every hour. Nightmare! 💜
@@baronessboomer3865 yeah… that sounds like it couldve been avoided had your optometrist explained how to use them better. Needless to say prescription lenses and colored contacts are different. They never give people enough instruction on how to put them in, take them out, clean them, etc. That should’ve definitely been avoided. Very sorry that happened to you. I’ve been wearing prescription contact lenses on and off since I was 8, and everything I know now has come from youtube, and hurting myself first, googling later. I’ve had contacts roll up behind my eyelid like that before too, I can relate exactly to that pain and panic. I just luckily knew well enough to stay calm and massage the eyelid until the contact slid back into place. It sucks, and hurts, but is easy to fix if you know what to do.
Whatever happened to just using mascara and plain ol' falsies??? Maybe I'm speaking as someone who was born with lashes people pay for but GOLLY, there's a surgery for EVERYTHING! This procedure is pink eye mixed with lice and possible blindness WAITING to happen!
I don’t even think lash extensions look good! They look really weird and fake to me. I can always immediately tell if someone has extensions vs falsies, even the “subtle” and more “natural” looking ones. I’d rather see people with falsies on, but I think natural lashes with a bit of mascara looks best no matter what your natural lashes are like. No way would I ever get extensions, let alone a lash transplant. The only way I might consider it is if I had a condition that left me without any lashes, but even then it honestly freaks me out. Eyes are far too precious to mess around with!

As someone with trichotillomania since i was 6 (and anxiety, which explains the trichotillomania) i definitely understand how this could be helpful, but honestly I'd worry that it would trigger me worse, since having and itching or uncomfortable sensations around my eyes often makes me pull. It's been 14 years and i have some permanently deformed lashes but i look back at pictures of myself from my childhood and i have come so far. To anyone else struggling, you can beat this💪🏽
I have trichotillomania due to OCD, I've had it since I was 11 (I'm 23 now) and it's caused so many issues for me. I have almost no eyebrow hair since they stopped growing back, due to pulling the hair on my head I now have psoriasis, & it's given me worse anxiety. I can see why people with this condition would be attracted to such a surgery.
Wow, I think i had that Trichotillomania when i was a kid. I wear constant lenses. Eyelashes are my enemy. 😂 why would I want fake ones getting stuck in my eye as well as my real ones? Ain’t no body got time for that!
I never used false lashes in my live. Naturally, my lashes are very short and not really visible. Also very scanty. On some parts of the lashline there are no lashes. It's empty skin there. I think it is a hormone thing (I'm 48). But I definately would think about transplantation. An eye without lashes looks sad. I hate it. I used to have super thick glasses and my lashes would always hit the lenses, so wearing mascara was always paired with smudged glasses. And while now my eyes are (somewhat) fixed and I can wear normal/thin lenses, I still wouldn't want bushy or voluminous eyelashes. Mine are good as they are I think. I just need to dye them every now and again because they are very light (red) and practically invisible, lol.
Thank you for nonjudgmentally talking about trichotillomania. I cycle between either not having eyelashes, eyebrows or both. Hard to not feel like an alien in society
One thing about your videos? Very educational!! I did not know there’s a disorder where people pull out their hair 😭 Pulling out your own lashes must hurt so much 💔
I have small, beady eyes and brittle, long lashes that like to grow out then curl inwards towards my eye. I actually have to give my little lashes (though they're sparse) a monthly trim. I have to use the little cuticle scissors because they're the only ones that I can get in there with an just trim the lashes that go crazy. My lashes are quite long. Nearly touching my eyebrows and my lower lashes are also long. I'm older so when they fall out and a grey lash grows in...well...that's a different texture and boy are those suckers hard to trim and/or yank out. There's at least two days a month that I find myself picking at my eyelashes because I had forgotten to trim them. They're so brittle that I usually have to trim instead of tweezers. NOT cute when you have pointy scissors headed directly towards your little eyeball. One sneeze at the wrong time and I'll be blind in one eye.
My natural eyelashes almost touch my eyebrows😂I didn't realize how long my eyelashes were until my eye technician complimented me. I think its hereditary since my siblings have it too.
I have very beautiful, thick, dark, long and slightly curled lashes, yay but I also have a mustache and sideburns 😅 🤷♀️ I can't pick where I'm hairy lol
That looks so painful. I couldn't do that stuff. Your perfect to me, your so beautiful girl. I love that shirt, those ruffles so pretty and full. You should be a model. My eyes itching now.
I have to say that I have REALLY AND TRULY thought about doing this for myself. Mainly because I have suffered from smallest/ thinest lashes and I have noticed over the years that it has NOT gotten much better.

i agree that them not doing anything to their lashes is a factor but it’s also due to testosterone which contributes to facial hair including the eyelashes.
This boy I grew up with at ten years old had the longest most beautiful eyelashes you have ever seen and I'm still so envious a decade and a half later (my eyelashes are blonde and basically invisible, despite the rest of my hair being dark brown, rip me)
I love eyelashes with magnets.I have natural ones. They dont pull my eyelashes when I take them off.I can wash my face with them, just gently tapping.. No glue,I wash them when I take them off,dry and store in their box.
I used to twist the hair on the top of my head and rip it out. It’s been years since I do that so how I sometimes rip out my eyebrow hairs and eyelash hairs. Thankful for microblading and false eyelashes. I do have OCD/anxiety so I know that’s partially why I do it.
I only notice other people's eyelashes if they look really bad for some reason, like thick falsies or whack looking extensions or crusty mascara. I have no idea why it's such a focal point for so many people (minus medical reasons).
Me eating lunch while watching this... Weirdly glad for distichiasis now... Right up until I have another freaking eyelash in my eye. It's SO annoying.
Idk why but it’s so incredibly sad whenever I hear people say “oh I feel so ugly without lashes/makeup on”. It’s one thing to get lashes done, makeup done and nails done for a confidence booster every once in a while but to the point of not even recognizing yourself or even disliking your natural looks, it’s extremely troubling to think about
6:12 slightly off-topic but I once cut my lashes when I was like 7 or 8 lol, no idea what baby me was thinking 😂 (thankfully I didn't hurt myself and they grew again ✌️)
There is this woman that was on butched. She has cosmetic surgery addiction . She had her pubs transplanted on her eyelids...even doctors were thinking...does it grow curly?😅
I Don’t even have to ask I already know for people of colors specially black women if a black woman gets the/extension surgery. They probably get it from their eyebrows because I can just guarantee it will look weird if they were to take a black woman’s hair from the back of their head and putting it on their eyelids because it won’t be straight
ok, wait...what about when you get older and start to turn grey? Hair that is losing pigment and turning grey can change texture and become more coarse. Will that make your eyes look weird, having two different textures; because as far as I know, regular eyelashes don't "grey" like head hairs.
Since any eye area related surgery is risky doctors like to protect they self by making this procedure expansive $15,000. So if something goes wrong dr. knows that you have a lot of extra money to fix it as it's not for poor or average people.
As a mascara girl who only wore falsies once... I really don't get the *need* they feel to have huge lashes 24/7... Maybe its cause I wear glasses but it just seems like it would be uncomfortable having them like that all day everyday
It’s not for me personally, my lashes are long and straight and I have to curl them just to keep my lashes from pushing my glasses off of my face. However, I do know that one of the odd lasting symptoms of Covid is your lashes thinning or totally falling out. Mine thinned out the first time I had Covid. Some lash serum and leaving them alone for a few months took care of mine. And they grew back with a vengeance. But this doesn’t happen for everyone. So I can understand why some people get this done.
Ngl I though of doing this back in 2012. but as I live in Germany I was not confident how they could handle 4c hair or relaxed 4c hair. All in all I did not do it 😅
OK, while I'm not into excess beauty treatments, I would actually consider this, if it's done by a real surgeon. Do you have to use your own hair? Oh, so many questions here. But I don't have the money so not going to be a thing for me. My hair is so blonde that my eyelashes and eyebrows are basically invisible. I would love to be able to wake up with some definition there.
Thank the good lord for you, keeping up my spirits in these difficult days... These procedures are whacko -crazy-time... All for someone's idea of beauty?! I'll pass!!! ❤😂
How can they be permanent when eyelashes aren't? Eyelashes fall out all the time and so does hair on your head so what would make these transplants stay?
It seems like every "beauty" treatment involve either harsh chemicals and the risk of plastic consumption by your body, or expensive, risky surgeries that can leave you sick or deformed. Nice. How about we don't mess with that? I do pull my lashes and head hairs but I've been blessed with thick hair, so i can't speak for those sisters and brothers who are not so fortunate, but I like to think if I saw someone with no lashes in the street I wouldn't do a double take. People are different and beautiful like that.
Im just confused because i feel like your head hair and lash hair are very different weights and textures...doesnt seem to me like it would look or feel normal eyelash hairs are verrrrrry fine
Ok well... i will stick with plain ol' mascara. My lashes rebel against my eyes enough already! I'm NOT going to add my 4c hair to my lash line.. i can only imagine the HORROR...😭🤧☠️

😮🤭 You're right! They look like Velcro strips or something.
My eyes tear up so much watching this type of stuff.
11:14 I thought you floated back to your chair like a fairy 🤣😭 and ty for making these videos!
Ok ik y’all saw those “eyelashes” stabbing her eyes @7:10🫣👎🚫
I only notice other people's eyelashes if they look really bad for some reason, like thick falsies or whack looking extensions or crusty mascara. I have no idea why it's such a focal point for so many people (minus medical reasons).
Olive oil rubbed on your face hair and eyelashes is wonderful for healthy skin an hair... That's what squalene is olive oil...
This is nuts! Come on ladies. It’s too much😂
when ppl get like over 2 inch long lashes and get slapped cuz some1 thought it was a spider on the eye also ur hairstyle ATE
It’s one thing to get lashes done, makeup done and nails done for a confidence booster every once in a while but to the point of not even recognizing yourself or even disliking your natural looks, it’s extremely troubling to think about
11:12 I think it’s castor oil. I don’t think aloe Vera is safe around the eyes. 🤔 Something for me to look up later.
6:12 slightly off-topic but I once cut my lashes when I was like 7 or 8 lol, no idea what baby me was thinking 😂 (thankfully I didn't hurt myself and they grew again ✌️)
They look like Sesame Street monsters those are the same lashes 😂you should start playing the Sesame Street theme song
Omg, my eyelashes get pushed down and get in my eye, attached and I have I push it up, but I am lucky eye lashes that people want natural.
I have the hair pulling thing (I am NOT typing that, it is 7am) mine started from anxiety after being stabbed in school
Oh no, the extensions looked goofy enough and now this ? When does it eeeeend ?
FIRST ❤️
Since any eye area related surgery is risky doctors like to protect they self by making this procedure expansive $15,000.
The close up ...haha .. I love it and I love your personality..we would be great friends...
Hi I’m back sorry I haven’t been able to watch your videos because of school
Every time I hear about these surgeries I just think of the movie Repo the Genetic Opera
We really hate ourselves 😮
Outside of medical reasons... Why does everything need to undergo surgery? 😢
Man some of these lashes look like tarantulas to me ☠️☠️☠️
MY mouth is completely OPEN!!! 😮😮😮
Lip fillers, exist, so I’m not surprised
Yellow looks really good on you ⭐️💛🌻🌼🐝🐥🍌
How can they be permanent when eyelashes aren't? Eyelashes fall out all the time and so does hair on your head so what would make these transplants stay?
You told the wrong person this. Rip some leg hair off and sign me up!
I used to use coconut oil to grow my lashes and that worked for me 😭
Lmao I do nothing to mine and they are long
4c lashes with relaxer perms 😅I can see it now.
This is scary i can't believe this is a thing
Im just confused because i feel like your head hair and lash hair are very different weights and textures...doesnt seem to me like it would look or feel normal eyelash hairs are verrrrrry fine
Please be very careful with anything that concerns your eyes...
Ok well... i will stick with plain ol' mascara. My lashes rebel against my eyes enough already!
I'm NOT going to add my 4c hair to my lash line.. i can only imagine the HORROR...😭🤧☠️
❤
I would get it done if i could
Seriously! What is so wrong with sporting your own natural eyelashes!?!?
