People look at themselves in the mirror too much. Who even comments on dimples after age 30? We have real issues in this world. This generation is way too self obsessed. Go outside.
it's not mirrors, it's selfie cams, videos, tiktoks, snapchats and every other form of social media. Also I love dimples so I don't see why being past 30 is going to stop me complimenting something I think is beautiful. Otherwise why comment on any physical feature or appearance ever?
"They are punching holes in your face and calling it cute" 😂 this statement just shows how far we as a people continue to go, inorder to fit standards that have no resolute standing.
TikTok is so beauty focused and it’s a huge problem. People keep getting procedures for things that really mean nothing outside of social media. No one is going to go “oh wow her back dimples are so cute!” in real life. Everyone with crazy cosmetic surgeries are going to look the same in the future. I’m not talking about the dimples specifically but BBLs, buccal fat removals, lip fillers, eyebrow lifts. They’re all copies of each other. I feel like I’m watching that episode of gravity falls when Dipper copies himself with the printer.
natural dimples are appreciated irl (well, depending on where you are) but you typically wouldn't compliment someone directly unless you're close cause it's kinda awkward. also emphasis on natural, the procedure ones look off and inferior to both natural and even piercing dimples since with the latter the piercings themselves are jewellery.
as a natural dimples haver, i'll tell you most people in my life forget about them and don't notice them and even i forget i have them. they are a nothing feature. edit: also, my dimples go in and out depending on changes in weight but at least i didn't sink a bunch of money into them
Same - you are so right! My mum sometimes, from time to time, will say “wow, your dimples came out when you just smiled” It gives her a little laugh because she forgot I had them. Other than that no one gives a sh*t. 😂
I think it's so silly to get a permant change to your face just to look "more cute". Also that dr saying "to those with dimples you don't know what life is like without them" is freaking hilarious and scary. It's tiny muscle deformity not a major birth defect or anything. Also when I was way overweight when I was a teen you couldn't see my dimples, I didn’t even know I had dimples until I lost about 20 pounds and it became noticeable in my face. Why can't people just be happy with the faces they have
Because of doctors like that. Also, you make a really good point. Weight can affect dimples. So can muscle amount. When I wasn’t as fit as I am now, you couldn’t see my lower back dimples. (Mine are naturally crooked but I’ve got actual major bone birth defects in my knees/legs and hips so… 😂) I started getting stronger after two needed knee rebuilds and they appeared again. I legitimately do not want to wander off to a mirror but I honestly cannot remember if I still have dimples on my face because I know I used to, but then had braces and a contraption to make my jaw grow forward. So that changed the entire look of my face (to avoid getting TMJ). I know I’ve a crow’s foot I got at like… 14 from said braces and contraption, and I think that it’s now a wrinkle when I smile and not a proper dimple because of the orthodontic work. However, I’d much prefer to lose my face dimples and not have TMJ. This whole “requirement” is weird.
It’s funny bc he himself doesn’t have dimples and yet he isn’t running to the surgery table to go fix that absolutely devastating tragedy for himself 🤔
@@Da_bear-ij9gm my mom has TMJ, so when our old dentist told her what I needed as a kid to get my jaw/teeth okay (had a severe underbite), we went all over the place to find an orthodontist who would do the right thing, once we’d been told what we were looking for. @@Em-tj6rh I mean people have been trying to get dimples through piercings or pinching/weighting their cheeks for years and years. Surgeons just finally supplied the demand that already existed. @@Fakephoebe99 there was a trend of influencers visiting Turkey for veneers (which were actually crowns) because they were more "affordable". They look more like bright white dentures. I have natural dimples and my daughter was only born with one on one side, I think it’s so unique and beautiful and would be so heartbroken if she felt like she needed a whole PROCEDURE just to get a dimple. God created every single one of us on His image, what’s the obsession with everyone trying to look the same ?
Why would you be heartbroken? It’s her face and she has to live with her face. If she really felt incomplete and having a second dimple could help her, wouldn’t THAT break your heart? Plus, people assume that everyone who gets surgeries regret it or that they have some sort of body dysmorphia but I don’t think that’s the case in most instances.
@@victoryhouse1446 my daughter would never feel incomplete because she knows that God made her 100% in His image and she is perfect just the way she is because there’s nobody on this earth that looks like her. The level of discontentment people have with their bodies nowadays is beyond sad. Foot cushioning, buccal fat removal, hip dip fillers, dimple surgery... What's next, belly button shaping?
If people would work on qualities such as love, kindness, forgiveness and helping others, they would not be overly concerned about what their body looks like.
Just get piercings in your cheeks. They leave dimples. I had a friend who did that and took out her piercings and she had dimples there. A lot cheaper and less painful.
As someone who naturally has dimples. Its literally not that deep, but im never surprised bc we live in a world where people will pay to have the smallest most insignificant features that in reality nobody cares that much about. They will go through a whole surgery and weeks of recovery and scarring just for “the lewk.” Yeah, dimples are cute, but they dont change your life.
thats usually only when they are freshly done, same with fake dimples people get from cheek piercings. over time they become less deep and only show when people smile or in some cases they completely dissapear (in case of cheek piercings only after the jewellery is been taken out)

the video starting with "never ever be basic for nobody" actually made me CACKLE! worshipping dimples is absolutely basic! like starbucks and ugg boots basic! pH of 14 basic!! 😂
My daily routine involves leaving my desk at work and (at home on the weekend too) and going into the bathroom where there's a large mirror, look at myself and admire the things i love anout myself so I don't focuse on the things I don’t like. That mirror is a blessing because it highlights those features so beautifully. People should try that. It might help them work on their self-appreciation.
As someone with natural dimples, i will never understand the obsession with dimples, its literally just a face feature, theres nothing special about it.
I have a chronic nerve condition that’s nicknamed the suicide disorder, it’s in my face and head so I would NEVER recommend someone doing stupid stuff like that to their face! Nerve damage is no joke!
As a person that has natural dimples on both of my cheeks, I find this to be so odd. Especially since I forget they're even there 100% of the time unless someone mentions them. You should do a couple videos on Korean/asian plastic surgery if you haven’t already. There’s a surgery where they fix the corners of your mouth upright kind of like a joker smile. There’s this jaw shave of course. I know in Japan there was a trend where they were getting their teeth sharpened. Can’t remember what the name was but they love the snaggle tooth look.

@@evaphillips2102 oh that’s cool! I know the people with back dimples felt special that day lol
natural dimples are appreciated irl (well, depending on where you are) but you typically wouldn't compliment someone directly unless you're close cause it's kinda awkward. also emphasis on natural, the procedure ones look off and inferior to both natural and even piercing dimples since with the latter the piercings themselves are jewellery.
I'm glad my dimples are real. They run in the family.
im glad that I'm not one of the people who wanna pay for fake dimples
Same here. Who knew they were such a thing
as a natural dimples haver, i'll tell you most people in my life forget about them and don't notice them and even i forget i have them. they are a nothing feature. edit: also, my dimples go in and out depending on changes in weight but at least i didn't sink a bunch of money into them
Same - you are so right! My mum sometimes, from time to time, will say “wow, your dimples came out when you just smiled” It gives her a little laugh because she forgot I had them. Other than that no one gives a sh*t. 😂
Natural dimple person here, “You don’t know what’s it like to not have dimples” .. me having dimples doesn’t change how people treat me
I think it's so silly to get a permant change to your face just to look "more cute".

People have always thought dimples are cute just now surgeons made up a procedure to get money from people.
@@Em-tj6rh I mean people have been trying to get dimples through piercings or pinching/weighting their cheeks for years and years. Surgeons just finally supplied the demand that already existed. Honestly, I'd rather have it be a medical professional doing a procedure than DIYing it at home or with a rando with no experience and give yourself nerve damage, scars, or infections. At least with these surgeons, there's someone to sue if things go badly.
