Bicycle Touring Central IRAN - The Persian Heartlands
We are cycling towards Iran’s Central Plateau via Hamadan and Saveh. In the capital Tehran we have to extend our visa. Later we continue southeast, passing the holy city and hotspot of the Islamic revolution Qom, and reach the desert city of Kashan by the end of June.
We take you with us on a bicycle journey around the world and show it how we see it. We hope to inspire more people to go on great adventure themselves or if they can't, to get a sense of ours.
We spend a huge amount of time, effort and money on creating our content, so every contribution is helping us to continue our project a little while longer.

    What is interesting at the beginning of this video you spoke of mandatory hejab and the punishments for not having it ... jail time and penalties and how so many people died over that mahsa ameni uprising, but your own women for most of the video has no hijab in public and no one even looks at her... And as fare as mahsa amini uprising goes if you had done your home work you would of known she died becouse of health issues not the harassment of police and the uprising was backed up by separatist Kurdistan groups back up by U.S.A as john bolton leaking and spelled the beans on BBC on air how usa is sending weapons and Kurdish terrorists in to Iran to start a civil war... We have a saying in Iran when you eat someones salt you don’t break the salt shaker, meaning you have the nerve to visit Iran been treated so well by the people and spread and repeat westen parapaganda . Shame one you don’t comeback to Iran go to Afghanistan

    Which bike would you recommend for travelling like you do? electric bike or ordinary? and manufacturer?

    • @AmazingWorldBikeTour
      @AmazingWorldBikeTour День назад

      That really depends. Generally, touring with e-bikes can be great for many people because it is easier to cover longer distances. For a journey like ours, they are not ideal, as we would have to make sure to find a wall plug for recharging every day, which greatly reduces the flexibility, level of freedom and spontaneous aspects if travelling we enjoy so much. It also adds more technical complexity and is harder to find replacement parts. So, as you can see, it depends on what is important for you. The manufacturer is not very important as long as the technical components are of decent quality. We are using Shimano drive train components, and they work great for us.

      I am just worried that if you get dizzy or faint in the heat, because you are so close to speeding vehicles and those scary trucks and buses, they may not have enough time to stop in case you fall off your bikes unto the roadway. Please be safe. Iran is a very large country where you can have all the four seasons at the same time in different parts; choose the cooler parts in the summer and visit the hot parts in the winter months.

      After the so called Islamic Revolution of 1979, and coming face to face with the ugly realities of the repressive Islamic values, most Iranians have stopped to believe in this religion that has been forced upon the Iranians and as soon as Iranians get rid of this regime, they will officially renounce their affiliations with Islam as it has HUGE conflicts with the Iranian culture and values.

While we hope for every person to enjoy personal freedoms, there are many examples in the world where different ethnicities live together in peace and harmony. However, that is absolutely not the topic of the video. We showcase the beauty of those people. Their nationality does not matter in that regard.

    • @AmazingWorldBikeTour
      @AmazingWorldBikeTour День назад

      Das ist eine schwierige Frage. Natürlich hat die Persische Küche auch viele Ähnlichkeiten mit den Nachbarländern. Es gibt an jeder Ecke im Land hervorragendes Kebab. Was aber geschmacklich ganz neu für uns war, waren insbesondere die vielfältigen Eintopfgerichte (Koresht). Es wird auf ganz unterschiedliche Art gewürzt, viel mit Wurzeln, oder getrockneten Früchten, Rinden, usw. Außerdem spielen säuerliche Geschmacksnoten häufig eine wichtige Rolle. Dabei erinnert die Küche hier und da manchmal ein bisschen an Indien, allerdings ist Essen im Iran quasi nie scharf, sondern eher meist mild und zart im Geschmack. Salz benutzen Sie auch meistens zurückhaltend. Im Südosten wird es aber deutlich intensiver, dort gibt es merklich stärkere Ähnlichkeiten mit der Küche von Pakistan/Indien. Dort waren wir von einer Art Mangochutney sehr angetan. Wir erinnern uns an kein Gericht das uns nicht geschmeckt hat, und würden insgesamt sagen, daß die persische Küche eine eigene Welt ist und sich nur schwer mit anderen in einen Topf werfen lässt 😅
