      From a cycling perspective it certainly is very safe as there is a lot of cycling infrastructure. Generally though we did not camp in bigger cities, but that is probably true for the whole world...

      Interesting. Actually there is quite a lot background music but we turned down the volume a lot.
      Hope you are not going to be disappointed since we changed that in the following episodes. But we will take that into consideration and will try to use the riding sound if possible.

    Lovely video. You are clearly doing what most bike tourers do as they gain experience, discarding unnecessary items to save weight. I did a tour of 15 months along the Spanish coast to Portugal taking my time obviously, I got rid of a lot of unnecessary things, swapped some for lighter versions but also decided a month into the tour that a lightweight chair and table was a must. So we learn as we go. Enjoy yourselves, good luck.

    When France ruled Vietnam as a colony, they named the streets accordingly to French names, including Louis Pasteur's. After taking back the country, Vietnam province renamed most of the streets, except for Louis Pasteur and a few others. This was because Vietnamese valued his contribution to the science as well as the world

      @@AmazingWorldBikeTour plan to see Nha Trang Dalat and got see Sapa amazing bike trails you wont camp much as it cheap for hotels well within your budget but make sure you get the 30 day visa not the free 15 day visa as many cyclist make that mistake …. And have to leave early …. Ps you should film in 4 k so you future proof your adventure maybe sell to Netflix at the end of your world tour …

    • @AmazingWorldBikeTour
      @AmazingWorldBikeTour  Год назад

      Will definitely go for the 30 days in Vietnam. Do you know if it is possible to extend that Visa?
      Nha Trang to Dalat looks like a nice road, thanks man!
      We would love to film in 4k but we just don't have the storage...

    • @Bikepacking
      @Bikepacking Год назад +1

      @@AmazingWorldBikeTour yeah storage is the problem that a decision i had to make too but decided 4k was future proof and also RUclips like 4k videos better so it pushes that video more ..if your codex on the camera can use 265 rather than 264 that a good start as 265 compression is a lot smaller than 265 … ie if you record ever day with one carmera at 4k for 1 hour a day ie 1 year that only 2TB a year in storage needed ….. check seagate online storage calculator to work it out ……regardless extend visa in Vietnam at this time there only a 30day visa and only way to extend it is do a visa run … ie leave country and come back in you can do that by bus ./… but it may change back to the old way ie 3 month visa ..yeah Vietnam amazing and really cheap
