I just got the new starter set and considering getting the core book. As it is currently the end of 2024 how long will this corebook stay up to date?

I just got the hivestorm box set . I never Played kill team before thinkin I might just stick to the factions came with it . Has all the data cards ect . Trying to teach my 10year old how to play lol

So technically speaking, If I'm *truly* fine with the loadout that comes out of the "two-box" team and assemble the models in a way that follow the team composition rules, then I don't have to buy another box? As someone starting out in the hobby as a whole, I'm more concerned if the box I'm purchasing is rules legal than whether the team is "optimal" or not.

Question: Why are there no Tyranids in this edition of kill team?

These has convince me to... not get into Kill Team and has made me look into more of the direction of Boarding Actions as a new player.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but apart from two additional light barricades, don't you need two additional extended ladders, too?

I bought the Space Marine Adventures board game just to get me at least 5 of 6 operatives for the Angels of death kill team for $30. No eliminator, but I at least have a heavy intercessor. For stuff like tokens and terrain, I'll probably start by cutting out cardboard, using jenga blocks, or popsicle sticks, toys, bits and bobs. Dare I mention building terrain out of legos? 🤔

My small KT21 Compendium Death Guard KT (kitbashed mostly from 40K 8e quick-build models) is not playable under the new KT24 DG rules,... which means they are going to be repurposed as Bringers of Decay Black Legion Legionnaires, all with Marks of Nurgle, and the Blight Launcher being a "count as" a Heavy Bolter.

The only video breakdown that helped me understand the ins-and-outs of the cards. TYVM

Love the video! I did the sniper mission with 2 of my friends, we each took half our kill team and added more enemy units. Wasn’t the best balance but it was still a lot of fun! I liked how the sniper was same damage normal vs crit but then had devastating 3. That middle area was just death for anyone standing there. Edit: we were thinking about doing mission 2 together and each taking 1/3 of our kill team to try a better balance

One thing to note, you described Sabotage as only needing one sabotage to shut down the enemy's for the game. It says on the card though that it only stops scoring for that turning point

Can you counter action if you are hit by a stun/flashbang?

As someone who never played the prior edition of kill team thank you for making this video fresh instead of just covering the changes.

Appreciate the breakdown of the crit ops and tac ops. Some of these take a couple of read throughs to get down. For the past few weeks ive been having my ooponent select my tac op at random. I have found this helpful for understanding the tac ops and familiarizing myself with how to play them (or how an opponent might play them).

This is another great video. As someone who has played crit op 3 and 8, I have to say 8 has been my favorite so far.

Great summary of the Crit and Tac Ops, thank you. Especially the Crit ops seem confusing to me without explanation. I got one addition to the “Take Ground” Tac Op. The heavy terrain piece/stronghold does not have to be wholly in the opponents field. So you can score points from heavy cover on your side of the board, if the layout is right (example Volkus Layout 4). I think this is a great Tac Op for tanky teams like Hearthkyn Salvagers and Plague Marines
