I am pretty torn on all of the new stuff. I love the idea of the map but goddamn it's a shooting gallery and is going to be super rough for melee to get up the limited routes. Was excited for the Eldar team but man I really don't want to have to buy a whole bunch of boxes to even field it properly. Then for the scouts.. ok cool we get new scout models but they are going to be sold out within a min due to all of the 40k players wanting to get the new sculpts as well so once again KT gets screwed over. The whole jungle idea was probably never going to happen but it would of been so cool to have part of the board as a space hulk and the other outside. Could of been a cool way to use both boards at the same time.
Oh and yeah 40k players will probably buy this just for the Eldar sculpts too lol.
If I came in to play a game and that terrain was setup the first thing I'd do is discuss w/ opponent how we want to fix the board. I can't see that setup being fun for many teams.

Plus my Dozr is going to have a field day pushing everyone off the platforms while my Jump Pack Warrior flys around the board!

Although a Death World would have been a lot of fun!
I can see an oil rig being really fun if you homebrew a rule like "crits push back 1 inch"
I don't really mind the split boxes. Although I am a little disappointed with the terrain. It just feels a little dull.
I think it will be a good time. I don't have room for more terrain though, so I imagine I'll still be playing a lot of open maps. I often play a "floor is lava" on a swamp mat that I have, and that's good fun with the addition of the "Hot" keyword for any units that want to walk through the green swamp goo.
I’m glad about the split boxes, I just hope picking them both up wont be (too much) more expensive than the all-in-one boxes
I think this will be the real kicker, it'll probably cost more but at least we won't have to keep buying the terrain if we want to get a bunch of the team boxes. Will be interesting to see how that all turns out.
I like the separating of the terrain from the team boxes, really wish they had done that with the ITD stuff. My friend group has WAY too many copies of that terrain! I hope the prices reflex it decently. Neither team looks too interesting to me but I'm curious how the rules for the "water" area will work.

I'm glad to see the Eldar. I hope all the Aspects are allowed because there doesn't look like any specialists. No Auspex or anything.
Swooping Hawks, Warp Spiders, maybe even a single Dark Reaper for a heavy option.
I do wish they had Autarch as an option instead of Exarch
100% agree with the split boxes. I more than happy to get the teams box only. I also hope gw release data cards for the other teams in the future.
I am also happy with them teams. Im building an Eldar army and Space Marine Army for 40k and both teams will fit in nicely with my plans. Plus im planing to get other aspects too, so it won't be a waste for me
I just hope the 40K players don’t just buy all the boxes again.
Thank god striking scorpions got a kill team, that just took $40 off of my Aeldari army I have planned
Combined aspect warriors was one of my ideas for an eldar team. I hope you’ll be able to run Dark Reapers as well.
I'd love some swooping hawks and warp spiders as well for the extra mobility, although they need new models.
@@neilbillings5373 Agreed. But I think the lack of new models is what will prevent them from joining the team. Although, Valrak has heard rumors about Swooping Hawks coming to Kill Team in some way. I’d take this with a pinch of salt though.

I just recently dipped my toes into Kill Team and the scout team looks interesting. I was wanting to make a Black Templar Intercession Squad, and i think picking up 2 boxes of Primaris Crusader Squad would allow me to make both, barring some kitbashing and bitz hunting.

An ocean world isn't a bad concept since we don't get a lot of them in the lore. But the terrain is disappointing. I think the fan made stuff for their favorite faction will bring the flavor the play area so badly needs.
No you can from the book build a mixed team or a full one aspect team its an option the scorpion is the team the only thing they did was to give people who wanted more option the opportunity instead of locking it to only Scorpions as I see it they just gave us more. As for terrain I could see cliff side where the gang ways would go between and rocks jutting out the sea to give more cover as there isnt many places to hide atm. I love the Scorpions must have them
I'm looking forward to the new season and seeing what the new environment brings to the game and how if effects the existing killteams. I also like the terrain and the teams being split, keeps me from having to buy the same terrain multiple times possibly, though I'm going to pass on the first boxset because personally neither of the teams excite me.
It doesnt look like an oil rig though... It looks like a floating Smash Bros level
What if there will be fog or night rules that come along with this season? I know it could have only been for the teaser, but the whole thing was shown at night which is one thing that the Striking Scorpions were always known for in the lore. Waiting for days on end to strike out of the shadows. What if the wide-open terrain is balanced by rules that limit sight lines?
Really only excited for the scorpion sculpts tbh. The scouts look good but probably not for me.
I'm only really excited for the probably fun new terrain rules. The actual board looks kind of hideous, and the terrain set looks boring as hell. I'll probably get a different mat, mix in other stuff with the platforms and hope the next set comes with some unique new terrain pieces. I'm not into either of the teams, but that's fine with how many bangers season 2 added.
I don’t get it! This is some of the best terrain I’ve ever seen! I love playing around with negative space and this is just awesome!
Then there certainly should be perfect for you. We'll have to see what happens for the release. I still have no plans to pick it up and I might just get a bunch of 3D printed catwalk terrain. Maybe it'll be good though. Just feels a little advantageous for ranged heavy teams right now.
As a D&D player I just love using height and kicking people is very fun to do! I’m so exited to use the jump mechanic more!
I think a lot of people are jumping the gun on the killzone because the product art is really only half of the terrain. If you looks at the terrain in the teams box, there are at least 3 sizable pieces of heavy terrain and a couple additional possible light terrain pieces. If you add those to the salvation board in your mind, it looks a lot less empty.
As it is, looking at the terrain that just comes in the killzone box is a little guessing how Octarius would play if all of the beginner box terrain (scrap piles, low walls etc) were in a separate box.
Honestly don't understand, wish they had a more in depth rules and gameplay explanation. Rn just seems like their catering to bighammer
I prefer big boxes. If they would just make enough that I can actually buy some. I also think this terrain looks lame.
Incredibly disappointed in the models. They are just 40k troop kits. It doesn't appear they even have an upgrade sprue. This is a huge step down from the previous seasons.
For the terrain, I guess we'll see what the rules are.

I see no one mentioned the book , so now we have to pay for the book the teams and the kill zone all separate with the prices jacked up till what GW feels is fair. Hard pass . Sad I really wanted to keep going with this hobby.
Rules for the teams? thats in the teams box along with a bunch of other stuff.
