    Great advice with the operative being in engagement, switching to conceal, killing the enemy operative then running to cover. Never realized that was an option! I've been really enjoying these videos, even if its stuff I already know they are very well done.

    Your video about cover and valid targets finily helped me to understand how it all works.
    Thank you for great video and i wish you well!

    Awesome video. I'm a casual player and I appreciate all the thought experiments. When you only get a couple games in a month you simply don't have enough game time to learn the nuances of this games systems.

      I try to pepper that in with most vids. It doesn't always equate to good ideas, but I do have them sometimes :P

    Fantastic video. As it turns out, I've been reviewing the KT's rules ahead of a friendly matchup this weekend. This breakdown cleared up all the lingering points of confusion, and I couldn't be happier. Keep up the great work.

    It sucks that Kill Team is such a niche thing because these videos are so well made and fun to watch

      I will eventually be expanding to other systems. Hopefully everyone will come along with us.

    The main issue I've run into with conceal vs engage on turn 1 is that it kind of becomes a game of chicken. who will be the first to dare put something in engage? But since I started putting more units into engage turn 1 I've found it definitely helps to get some momentum. though that could be because the guy I play against is quite conservative.
    One thing I did not appreciate until I picked up hunter clade is how many mindgames you can do with conceal/engage + infiltration. Playing with 3 gunners in engage to scare my opponent into being full conceal & turtling, giving me free reign of the board, then flipping them all into conceal near the end of the turn. Or the opposite, placing all units in conceal, then flipping multiple gunners who can now be in engage with no fear of reprisals

    super noob question! when you move or dash, do you have to take the full distance? Or can you dash just enough to get around the corner to shoot and then just move back behind cover without using the entire distance? great vids btw! learned a lot!!

    • @KimerexProjekt
      @KimerexProjekt  2 месяца назад +1

      Using the move or dash action provides you with the total distance. You can use it as you see fit. The trick is during the move, using less than full inches is still considered a full inch. Example : if you use half an inch to come out from around a corner and then continue along the wall with a 6 inch move character, that first half an inch is still considered 1 in. You'll only be able to go 5 inches down the wall.

    Thank you for the content, sir. Would you say, Kill Team is a much more strategic, yet more approachable game than the normal WH40k?

    • @KimerexProjekt
      @KimerexProjekt  9 месяцев назад +2

      Um.... Probably. The limited team size makes it easier to just pick up a faction without needing to mass collect and make adjustments. The rules makes the strategy different in a way that people feel is a bit better at times. I like KT and 40k (and starting to get into AoS), but for getting people to play a tabletop strategy game, I feel like the skirmish of KT feels better for approach-ability without being overly simple.

    At 6:28 you say "A charge and a dash", but I don't think you can charge and dash in the same activation?
