I’m many years late and I looked this up because I’m considering this myself. My only thing is that if I want to run my g40 more cheaply, it’s easier to and cheaper (until you hit a break even point) to just use .40 in your g40 in factory configuration. That is a few hundred bucks in savings because you need no extra parts.

My current 26 I carry with 15 rounders with a sleeve to make it a 19 grip but I like being able to go down to 10 for better concealment like under a tucked shirt for instance. I’m also looking to get the hooper gun works 26L slide to make it a 19 size slide but still be able to put my 26 slide on when needed. I love how versatile the 26 can be

i did tape the ruler and then use my solder tip to create a line then use your tiny chisel, having the side of the ruler stick on the frame makes your lines realy good that will avoid accidentally hitting your wrist.

Why sand off the old stippling if it all melts and moves around when you do the new stippling? Seems like a step that could be eliminated, and also could weaken the gun frame

Wow. Artistic af!! I'd absolutely LOVE to have that stipple job on my Glock 19.

Your shots are different because your cheek weld is different each time. Take a little rectangle of foam and use electrical tape to put it on the stock in a place that is comfortable for you and will make it obvious to you that your cheek weld is the same every time and tell you when you’re in the wrong spot……. I learned that trick when my Army Unit took us to HDSOC (High Desert Special Operations Center - in Hawthorne Nevada) to improve our shooting skills before a deployment to Afghanistan…. As far as the trigger, smooth even the cheap army triggers by lubing them up with Molybdenum Disulfide grease (I learned that at the Squad Designated Marksman course normally taught at Camp Robinson, but my class was taught at Fort Chaffee due to scheduling conflict for the ranges between SDM a course and sniper course).
