I've made a 17.slide work on. a 19 frame. only changing locking block on the frame you could machine17 barrel to work buy thinning. lock lug.. or cutting stock 17 magwell down to 19 size.
It wouldn't be "17X" as the frame is not extended. It's usually referred to as a "19L." Springfield ran this concept in the XD 45 Compact Tactical. It used the full-size 5" slide mated to the compact frame. Flush fit mags held 10 and full size mags (plus a gap-closing sleeve) held 13 and gave the shooter the exact same grip as the full size model. I had one for a while but it sucked to carry if you sat down like getting in a car. Plus the long slide did give a slightly better sight radius, but at the cost of inducing a more pronounced muzzle flip. Maybe nobody asked for the G19x/G45, but the design is far more practical
joey15151 after carrying the gun in this video for a year or so and then recently purchasing an FN 509 (similar size to 19x) I would agree that Glock made the right move and the 19x design is superior to the “19L” concept.
@@red_stag05 it’s more comfortable to carry. Barrel length doesnt help at all especially when you have a red dot mounted (which I have on all pistols that I actually use). It’s harder to clear a holster with a longer slide.
gen 3- google mag scallop. cant do gen 4s tho. be better for ccw because you keep stock mag release n it doesnt stick out but because of the scallop it feels longer, you can offer it as another 40$ option with the package n save money instead of providing an after market ext mag release with gun. (keep up the great work!!!!)
@@tristarcustoms77 But I do like your build going the other way with it. A lot of people felt like Glock should have went that route with it, but i think they got it right. To me the G45 is the best Glock ever. You do really good work by the way. Looking to get stippilng work done so I might have to hit you up. I'm right below you in Georgia.
boone glock 45 yeh I have to agree. I thought Glock messed up but after handling a bunch of 19x 45s I realize that it’s the better solution. I have an FN 509 now and it’s the same size and I love it. Just hit me up on Facebook or Instagram when your ready. Or my number is posted somewhere on here you can text me
Cumberland Gap Tactical how can I better contact you, because when I get my taxes back I want get me one for sure I own a 19X and I would like one of those as well
“Custom made frame”.... polymer 80 frame with one of the cheapest slides on the market with a shitty finish....Hahahaha!! Love the sales pitch, shit gun
Come on man. Dude, you can clearly see that is a Glock frame. May not be the slide and finish you like, but it's not your gun. The point of this video is the custom work. Go watch some polymer 80 videos.
Yeh almost 4 years ago when I put that together, there weren’t near as many options available. I would definitely only use them on a non serious plinking application
Wow this is literally what i was looking for
Glad you found it!
I love this concept, your accent is pretty awesome too.
Huy Nguyen thanks I appreciate it!

That’s cool I didn’t know you could change the locking block and thin the lug.
I cut the stock 17 magwell down to the 19 size on this one.
Man that’s looks amazing!!!
What about with a ken-worth
I thought the slide is longer on the 17 how it's it the same length as the 19 frame
Jason Hoover I chopped the 17 grip length down to 19 grip length. The slide is longer on a 17
@@tristarcustoms77 oh ok I was under the impression you just put the slide on a19 frame
Bullshit, I know the three star dragonball when I see it.
Touché
Awsome, Dude!!!!
Noah Smith thanks man!
You do good work boy!
molon labe thanks brother

I hope TNT is not in California
She's bad. I dig that cerakote too
Nice work
Honestly after using it on duty i prefer g45 and 19X
boomee78 I’d say for duty use a 19x or 45 would be better
Love my G45! Put Vickers elite battlesight rear sights and Wilson Combat ameriglo front sights on it. Fixing to order more stuff from Wilson for it.
boone glock 45 awesome man!

It’s a factory Glock frame cut down to 19 length. Not polymer 80.

Vortex RDS should never be used for defense or game time use…they are hot trash, so many other options out there that are far superior
