Why did you purchase a G40 instead of a G34? Is it because of the G34 slide top window cut out? Wouldn't it be better (cheaper / less work) to buy an aftermarket slide without the top window cut out for the G34?

If that didn't fix the problem you might want to check and see if you need to replace the extractor also.
