I remember my first dip into the AK market in the early 2000's and I paid $300 for a walnut wasr. I don't wanna talk about how much I paid for my last Bulgarian 74.
I feel your pain every time I see them on Gunbroker. The most recent banned AK I bought was a Polytech Legend which you could buy for maybe $200 - $300 dollars back before the 90's weapon ban. I don't wanna talk about that either 😅 I'd much rather have spent that money on a Russian but I wanted it for the collection.
You could spend your money on a lot worse. At least firearms at the very least tend to retain their value and usually appreciate in value over time. And you’ll be leaving behind invaluable tools for your kids/family. Women will think it’s a waste of time and $ until shit gets real.
Here in America. The 7.62 ak is the best Ak. Ammo everywhere, parts everywhere, and breaking through cover is badass. I have a 7.62 ak with wood furniture and a magpul lower half hand guard. Getting an ak74 wouldn’t make sense for me at all… Anyways my brother and I are getting matching ak74s with plum furniture
I got baited knowing I was going to be baited. I love this. As a recent new AK buyer I already feel it it a bit. I already want to buy more mags, mod it up, and make it my new fave range gun despite still believing the AR15 is a better gun. I don't know. The shear joy of owing and shooting and AK is just amazing. Cumming is the on only thing that I can think of close to the description.
Everyone thinks the AR-15 is the best until you explain to them how to properly clean the bolt, and then they realize what an absolute pile of shit that gun is.
@gmf8171 I love my AK, but I still think my AR is still a better firearm for a miriad of reasons I don't have time to go into. Yes, they are a bit harder to clean than an AK, but that hardly makes it a piece of shit. Nor are they really that hard to clean. They just take a bit more time, but once you know how it isn't that bad.
@@killgora1 they're hard to clean and cleaning is mandatory. It's so prevalent an issue that a feature had to be added to the weapon and has been included in every clone and variant since.
@@killgora1 The only thing AR's have going for them is light weight. That's not nothing but I'll take a simpler to maintain tough rifle any day. Accuracy is also debatable I think it's mostly true that ARs can be made to be more consistently accurate in the sub MOA realm with free floated barrels etc (although now there are free floated AKs too like the shureshot chassis) when it comes to practical combat accuracy though it's a moot point. I have a Zastava m90 that can shoot 1-1.5 Moa, better or at least as good as most AR. AR's aren't BAD rifles, but I certainly would take a AK any day over a AR, especially if my life was on the line and even more so if I was in some kind of shtf survival situation.
@MikeBobby-l7o I don't think it's a matter of which is better anyways. Bith have their strengths, and I just like some of the strengths of the AR platform more. The biggest pro of the AK is its ease of use and maintenance. Though I still strongly believe people overreact when talking about AR maintenance, especially cleaning. Both are reliable in their own rights. AK's are good at running even when dirty, AR's are good at keeping crud out and both are exaggerated as to how reliable or reliable they are. My choice for the AR15 is for a few reasons. I definitely shoot better with my AR. I'm a tall guy with long arms and I have an easier time lining myself up with an AR, especially since I can put my off-hand far more forward. Even with the Nato length stock I'm not as good as lining up my sights, especially with my shooting eye being a lazy eye. The stock of the AR is also sits betterin my shoulder. In terms of SHTF the advantage of the AR is since its common ammo is going to be easier to find, and parts are plentiful and are very compatible with each other. Really the argument as to which is better is silly. From my understanding, Stoner and Kalashnikov became quick friends after meeting for the first time and shooting together in the early 90's. I couldn't find anything to confirm their opinions on each other's guns, but I'd imagine they had good praises fir each other.

the 545x39 is almost imposable to find right a long with good cheap 762x39mm ammo now these days iove the ak but with the war in Ukraine and sanctions on Russia its dried up any of the ammo on the akms but i heard pioneer rodom make a really good akm in nato 5.55 x45 i can see this type of akm being great with our ammo shortages of cheap comblock drying up either that or get a ar 15 there going for lest then imported akms now these days and 556 ammo is always around and cheap great video aks only suck when you can't find cheap ammo to shoot them over American made pricy akm ammo
How can a title like that exist when the L85 still permeates the british isles with its filthiness
The L85 is like that one uncle that's disowned from the family, it's better to just act like it never existed
I don't have a problem, you have a problem...
What optic is that?
It’s a “Sniper 1x30mm” mine is made in Russia but the newer ones are coming out of Belarus
@@HyenaArmory123 interesting, I have a 1P63 Obzor I like but can't seem to find them for sale anymore.
they were good 15 years ago when ammo was 9 cents for 7.62 but now it's dumb too have unless it's for fun.
So true.
Yugo M-77, or Russian SVD... They call you...
Facts!
Great video 😂
Man you forgot drums, bayonets , rpk, underfolder and sidefolder
ouchr. . . regerts
600 for an AK, don't complain about it 🤣. Here in Europe it's 1k minimum
is this rage bait, though that wood looks like plastic tbh
Good video, however I have a resentment. An AK with 20 rnd mags is a sin. Btw you need a chicom bro
Great video! 😂 I've been there! 🤷♂️
man if you pulled out a molot rpk74 plum mag...i would have came
you know much those cost. i wish i had one
@@HyenaArmory123 i know right!....but man they're so sexy
The size of the AK stock isn't so much because the Russians are shorter, but that it was designed for people wearing body armor.
@@MikeDCWeld I know that the stock was shorter because of thicker winter clothing and body armor. It was a joke in the video

Stay safe bro, AK Jesus kows your location
“So what do you do?”
Okay, I get it. Us gun guys have a problem.
Why don't you even have your first AK shotgun?
You have a sickness, my brother!😂🤙
AR guys just stay away, u dont want these problems...
