Where I live the indoor range is $16 and you can be there as long as you want up to closing. No green tip allowed plus you have to wear double hearing protection(ear plugs and earmuffs). At the outdoor range it's $10 and you can be there as long as you want up to closing. No restrictions on ammo.
@@MeetRob You're right about that. Indoor ranges have the comfort factor. It's expensive for electricity to run the air conditioning and the air cleaners. Plus the target retrieval system and the building of the range to make them safe. It's really a bargain price when you think about it. The outdoor range you don't have air conditioner and you have to walk down range to put up your target. If you do a lot of shooting walking back and forth can give you a workout. In Texas where I live we just got a lot of rain and you can't go until it dries out and the mosquitos are real bad right now. I have to wear a sweatshirt when I mow the lawn and the temperature is low 90's now.
Hi from the UK. I belong to a gun range and have my firearms licence and shotgun licence. Our club only hires out rifles and shotguns but you can shoot pistols. Their range of weapons is a bit limited but you can hire rifles like a 223, a 22, a 17hmr, a 303, a 308 and a few more. Cost of hiring a gun, shotgun or rifle, for members is about £3.50 ?? $4 ish. You can use the rifle as long as you stay. Hired weapons require you to shoot club ammo purchased there. It is limited compared to many of the American experiences but for a country who many believe you can't own a gun, we do OK. In some ways I'm pleased I don't live in America mainly because I would be perpetually broke from buying guns and ammunition. 😅😅
I've shot at many indoor ranges within the United States while on TDY or on vacation throughout the years. Your pricing is very reasonable for everything that you showed in this video. Compared to some that were charging almost $1 a round for 9mm and $2.50 to shoot 45/70 target rounds (lead core). I hope yoe stay in business for a long time.
I pay $15 to shoot all day in a pistol lane up to 25 yards, a rifle range that's 50 yards and another that's 100 yards. There is another range I go to, membership and background check only that's $1,200 a year but you have your own private 50x50 yard bay with steel targets, IPSCs and you can draw from a holster and do actual movements.
@@imgriizzly4179 you get your own private bay. Depending on the bay that's available, there are members who leave their steel targets. You're allowed to stay as long as you want, you just have to sign up for the time. You can shoot at night. You can run, draw from a holster, wear gun belts and plate carriers. You're alone and can do whatever you want. They also have separate 100, 200, 300, 500, and 800 yard targets to shoot. It's pretty nice compared to static, bench or standing only ranges that yell at you for rapid fire and don't allow you to actually draw from a IWB or OWB holster. Drawing your weapon is particularly important that most people don't have the experience doing with live fire practice. Most people never have the ability to shoot and run drills at night, practicing utilizing your flashlight or night vision. 99% of the ranges are ok for zeroing your weapon but they instill such bad habits into people. Imagine shooting at nothing but a range that makes you stand in one place only holding your pistol or rifle very specific ways only and requires you to shoot one round per second. That's literally training you to be ineffective. There aren't a whole lot of places that allow open drills and movement. Once you start training that way, it's hard to go back to anything else.
@@imgriizzly4179 it's definitely not for everyone and $100 a month (or $1,000 if you pay for it up front) is a lot, especially if you factor in ammo, which you'll burn through quickly. If you have a friend with some land and can find a spot with a berm I highly recommend shooting this way. Just be safe and don't be a dumbass.
Just for reference, my local range costs me $80 in annual membership. Free access at all times. No additional fees. There is a 25m pistol range, two IPSC bays, several rifle ranges from 50m to 300m. There's also trap, skeet and various hunting ranges. We shoot IPSC handgun, shotgun and rifle as well as PRS, PCC and Kpist (full auto SMG). At $1200 annually, you guys are getting ripped off.
You can purchase firearm out of state (US) but they need to ship it to FFL gun dealer you go to your state local gun shop once it arrive to finish the transfer (paperwork) and pay the fees.
$25 for a half hour training is crazy pricing. You should charge more, but on the other hand I appreciate keeping teaching proper firearm usage accessible.
My range charges $18 for a lane and $10 for up to two guests on that lane for those with the cheap annual subscription (or pay like $300 for zero lane charges for the year). $10 to rent a single firearm and $25 to be able to use any of the rentable firearms and switch between them. You have to use ammo from their store, though, which means prices are a lot higher than bulk ammo (think $18 for 50 rounds of 9).
Dam my local shooting charges $25 for a lane rent 1hr, $20 for handgun rental and $30 for rifles, $20-30 per box of ammo (depending on the gun you shooting hangun, rifle, shotgun) $5 dollars a paper target, $10 for safety and earplugs and the private shooting lessons for 80$ an hour
The range i work at charges 15 for half hour 25 for an hour we rent eyes and ears and sell all targets for 1 dollar and it cost 10 dollars to add an extra person to your lane and can do up to 3 shooters per lane we do range passes 10 hour blocks 6 months or 1 year and we offer ccw classes at 100 dollars or personal classes for 50 dollars all gun rentals are 10 dollars as well and our ammo isn't bad as far as price goes
Don't doubt yourself on your prices - they are very reasonable. I am sure that ammo prices are affected by market but it sounds like for a first-time shooter this is really reasonable. Keep in mind - bring your own safety glasses and hearing protection (and ammo) and you can save a little bit. Obviously if you buy a gun this is the kind of place you want to go to become familiar with it. That brings me to another point - if you are practicing with FMJ (full metal jacket) and planning on using this for home defense - I'd REALLY suggest you put a few boxes through the pipe at a range. Some defense ammo reacts differently or may have less grain and will certainly kick differently. I learned what stove piping was when I put my first box of defense ammo.
I am in shock. This is in my neighborhood and I am going to purchase my first gun there soon. I am ten minutes away. This video is very informative for a new visitor to a gun store and range. Thank You Rob.

I got a question, I'm from Germany (no Green Card or anything), and I used to shoot on Gun Ranges in several states (Cali, Texas, Nevada, Georgia, Florida), all I needed each time was my ordinary German ID or drivers lisense. But are there states where I not allowed to rent guns and buy ammo for use on the range as an alien without any kind of US stay permit except from a tourist Visa? Because sometimes I saw on a web page, "aliens or tourists welcome" and sometimes (tourists Visa or non US residence not allowed" Is this a kind of property rights or sometimes a state law?

My local does $25 for a lane for an hour, $10 for rental, BUT you can switch them out with no additional fee, $2 for eye and ear, and I think targets start at $1.25. I went to another place in my state and I dont remember how much it was for the lane, but I went with a friend and we each picked a gun. It was $15 each. I asked if we could trade out, and they said yes, but its another $15 per trade. Oh, and to hold up your targets, if you dont bring your own tape, they charge you a $1 for a strip of tape. I don't know what eyes and ears were, but all I know is that for two people for an hour and two boxes of 50 9mm, it was almost $200!
@@fivestarlimos Needless to say, we will not be going there again. Their customers didn't even pick up after themselves! We got to our station and we had to sweep, push the table back to the line (it was moved), and remove the previous targets. The place was appalling!

You did a better job articulating what was going on than the employee lol. He even had his salesman voice on the whole time and answered your questions so basically. I basically died when he just handed you, a "first time shooter" the glock and then you had to put the chamber flag in and inspect the ammo. Good job carrying the interaction

In brazil I pay only for the ammo and targets, if you bacame a member of the range they give you a leasson on the gun that you gona use and the ammo has a little discount; 600 reais a year
Hey, I am from Russia, can I visit Brazil and shoot at a range as a tourist, what do you think? Also considering that we have Visa free travel with Brazil I can only provide a foreign Passport with no Visa?
Good solid review. Im off to Colorado and Wyoming soon and will definitely be shooting, those prices are amazing, and the choice of handguns is good. I hope I get some similar deals when I get up to my stop! As a highly restricted UK based shooter, any opportunity to use a full fat handgun, and of course, a semi auto rifle is a must!
Nice video! I have shot several times at Parma Armory. Great place. Would be great if you would consider opening/ establishing an outdoor range/ club in Northeast Ohio. West side area. A huge lack of decent outdoor range on west side.
For gun rentals for a beginner, you'd think they would have a popular striker fire (Glock 19), a popular hammer fire auto (maybe a sig P226), a revolver (S&W J frame), and a selction of movie guns - Dirty Harry "remove the finger prints" .44 Auto Mag, James Bond walther PPK, Snatch Vinnie Jones's 50 cal Desert Eagle, John Waynes True Grit Single Action Army...
I remember decades ago when I used to shoot every weekend. A box of 9mm FMJ for range shooting was $6! I just bought a new gun a few days ago. I'm sure I'll be shocked when I go to the range for the first time in decades!
$100 man, add another $100 and buy a gun. Also as beginners first time shooter a full size gun would be a better idea. No need to buy ear protection, rent them or get the free ones that every range gives. Same with ammo, target ammo is around 13-15. You should be able to rent a lane, pistol and ammo for 45-50 bucks
$20 included Tax , and was rounded off ( up ) . $18/ 50rd generic 9mm not unreasonable for purchase at a gun range . You don't pay the same for a steak at a restaurant that you do at the grocery store . Ranges have to turn a profit , or they wouldn't be open for business .
Hot Shots in Daytona... $15 for an hour. Pretty sure ear & eye protection included. No firearm restrictions. Even better if you already own your own gun. And .22 ammo (CCI minimags) are stupid cheap. 100 rounds for just over $10.
Mine in Texas is $20. Unlimited lane changes for different distances. Shoot as many guns as you have all day. can even leave and come back if you don't wash the stamp off your hand. Haha
If you don't come to the range with your own gun, many gun ranges with gun rentals WON'T let you rent a gun. Why? Suicides that's why. There's plenty of videos from gun ranges where the gun renter ends their life at a shooting range. Some ranges let you rent a gun only with two people there. I haven't heard about suicide pacts, but I'm sure even that has happened, but not as common as the solo sucide at the gun rental range.
Yeah, range by me won't rent if you come in solo without a gun. If you already have one or come in with another person then they allow it. Of course their range isn't great and their prices are high so despite them being a few blocks away I don't go there.
Wish we had this in Canada. Sadly our government banned everything recently, looking forward to visiting on our US trip. This looks like a great facility!
@@JackRR15 you buy gun for 1 of 3 reasons: 1. You want to protect someone (yourself included). Protection is born from love. 2. You want to end someone. Hate is the other side of the coin with love. 3. You love guns. See? Initial statement is correct for all 3 reasons.

Ridiculous 😂😂
@@fivestarlimos Needless to say, we will not be going there again. Their customers didn't even pick up after themselves! We got to our station and we had to sweep, push the table back to the line (it was moved), and remove the previous targets. The place was appalling!
That’s a good price, where are you from?
@@MeetRob Maryland! The first place is my local and I find their prices decent. But the other place, I have never been to a place that charged for the tape to put up targets or charged for each gun to rent.
I live in Czechia and whenever I am in the US I want to shoot stuff we can't get here. So basically Hi points and cobra arms stuff they never have it for hire but I did once have a awesome guy over hear me talking about Hi Points at the range and go get his truck hi point for us to borrow. Now that's America.
You should come in and be our guest!
Hot damn! I wish I had those prices. Where I live, two boxes of 9mm and hour range time alone total to his price!
Wow! Some say we are too cheap and some say we are too expensive
@@MeetRobit expensive, used to cost 8$ for 9mm of 50 rounds
You did a better job articulating what was going on than the employee lol. He even had his salesman voice on the whole time and answered your questions so basically. I basically died when he just handed you, a "first time shooter" the glock and then you had to put the chamber flag in and inspect the ammo. Good job carrying the interaction
Hey thanks, appreciate it. We get these questions daily so we want to show people before they come to the range and this video is very popular and people say they have watched it, so it’s great to see! Please like and subscribe for more great videos
I wonder if the checker got a talkin to when he didnt put the yellow saefty tag in yhe hand gun when the video was done.
Interesting looking in from another country…. Something that is not available in my country as we ave very strict gun laws.
Glasses on his cap???
In brazil I pay only for the ammo and targets, if you bacame a member of the range they give you a leasson on the gun that you gona use and the ammo has a little discount; 600 reais a year
That’s an interesting thought
Hey, I am from Russia, can I visit Brazil and shoot at a range as a tourist, what do you think? Also considering that we have Visa free travel with Brazil I can only provide a foreign Passport with no Visa?
some expensive range time 12 flat for the range near me long as you like .. bring your own ammo can get 5 bucks cheaper per box
Not in that area north east Ohio I haven’t found an indoor range under $20 an hour
Get what you pay for
Very nice. Love the price of everything, wish you guys were in my backyard.
Well done sir. An aspect of shooting not usually covered.
Thank you, what kind of prices do you have?
This reporter knew what to ask for.
Yes that is correct, it was a skit to yeah people
I've always wondered, can I as a European tourist get a shooting lesson in the US or do you need to be a US citizen for that?
Sounds like you could if you are from one of the 30 countries they approve. I'm guessing that includes most NATO countries.
Nice video! I have shot several times at Parma Armory. Great place. Would be great if you would consider opening/ establishing an outdoor range/ club in Northeast Ohio. West side area. A huge lack of decent outdoor range on west side.
We are looking for outdoor space if you have suggestions, please let me know
Huge props for having Caniks too. My favorite handgun brand and I'm glad to see them getting more recognition.
According to our customers caniks are the new Glock
Great video. Looks like a nice place to train. Um... is it safe to hand over a rental firearm and ammo at the same time?
Yes thank you
For gun rentals for a beginner, you'd think they would have a popular striker fire (Glock 19), a popular hammer fire auto (maybe a sig P226), a revolver (S&W J frame), and a selction of movie guns - Dirty Harry "remove the finger prints" .44 Auto Mag, James Bond walther PPK, Snatch Vinnie Jones's 50 cal Desert Eagle, John Waynes True Grit Single Action Army...
Can a tourist from the UK 🇬🇧 with their passport for ID shoot on ranges in the USA ?
Yes
@@MeetRob thank you.
I remember decades ago when I used to shoot every weekend. A box of 9mm FMJ for range shooting was $6!
I just bought a new gun a few days ago. I'm sure I'll be shocked when I go to the range for the first time in decades!
Wow! Times have changed. Hope you have fun getting back to the range!
@@MeetRob the range will just be a one time thing to get familiar with the new gun. The new gun is to replace an older one for camping and fishing.
What was the safety waiver all about?
The rules
$100 man, add another $100 and buy a gun. Also as beginners first time shooter a full size gun would be a better idea. No need to buy ear protection, rent them or get the free ones that every range gives. Same with ammo, target ammo is around 13-15. You should be able to rent a lane, pistol and ammo for 45-50 bucks
It's all-in-one when I took Basic 1 and went to a range for $99.00 and had my own gun.
What’s the age requirement if you bring someone
8 or older
@@MeetRob ok thanks
Dang, $20 for a box of range ammo is ridiculous
Depends on caliber but yes
$26.95 for box 50 9mm ammo at the range I go to. Unacceptable.
That’s a pretty good deal, that’s just not the same price as here
I've never...NEVER gone to a range where you have to buy or even rent ear protection. That's insane!
So you brought your own?
Mine in Texas is $20. Unlimited lane changes for different distances. Shoot as many guns as you have all day. can even leave and come back if you don't wash the stamp off your hand. Haha
Excellent video!
Sig saucer is so underrated
Almost 2 hours away though :D
Dang that is far but it’s worth the drive!
Where is this range located?
Parma,ohio
Can you use your own firearm and ammo?
Yes
Nice range facility.
what are those countries?
There is a long list
@@MeetRob is italy in the list?
Wish we had this in Canada. Sadly our government banned everything recently, looking forward to visiting on our US trip. This looks like a great facility!
Wow that’s not good at all, stop in and see us
18.99 for 9mm 🥴 I reload it for like 5 😂. Reload 44 mag for like 8
Well that’s a great price, we just don’t get it at that price anymore
Nice one, Rob. Dean
Thank you!
That's impressive to see the price like if you wanna shoot in europ in belgium you will spend like 100 bucks euro plus 25 bucks euro for the lesson.
love this range
Thank you!
What if it's my second time?
You should have some equipment to reduce your cost
This is why I love America.
Well constructed instruction video❤ but I kept thinking… this guy knows way too much for a first timer😂
Haha yeah I do know too much but only because so many people ask these questions, so I figured I would put them out there
Can you bring your own gun and ammo?
Yes, you can
Seems a great place
Sure is! Stop out
Prices are good
Thank you
Great video. I liked learning. And for anyone wondering...they are in Ohio.
Wish my small town had such a range.
Where are you from?
Very edumacational
I wish I could afford to go to a range.
If you have a firearm $4 if your a senior and $22 if you do you don’t have a leisure pass by me.
25 dollars for instruction? A gun range near me said 100 dollars. Ya'll have great price!
Thanks!
My range day costs. Lane time $40, targets $20, ammo $300. So 2 hr = $360 worth it 😂
$40 for lane time? Ridiculous pricing... 😐
Walking in and out of a Range/Store for under $300, awesome.
$20/HR at my local range.
That’s two dollars more an hour than us
"Love is why you buy a gun" What in the actual f is that sign?
What's wrong with it?
@@Knuckles2761 Wdym what's wrong wiht it. It makes zero fuckin sense hahaha
@@JackRR15 you buy gun for 1 of 3 reasons:
1. You want to protect someone (yourself included). Protection is born from love.
2. You want to end someone. Hate is the other side of the coin with love.
3. You love guns.
See? Initial statement is correct for all 3 reasons.
@@Knuckles2761 I don't love guns, it's merely a hobby. So yeah I dunno about that. Weird slogan.
"Hi. I've never shot before... I'll need a target... and hearing protection... and eye protection... and ammo...and a rental... and a instructor...."
🤦♂️
It's like 20 bucks
Bring your own gun + ammo + eye / ear protection from Amazon, don't need the private lesson. That should drive the costs down.
Sure, as long as it's not your first time ever shooting.
all adds up.
CZ75 😎
I pay nomore than $20. Its $15 to shoot and $1 target. I have my own gun and ammo
Well, that’s about what you would pay
it cost a lot because you will start buying your own and go all the time
Yes true
safety waiver is hilarious. range i go to in texas all u gotta do is pay and read there rules. AMERICA
What is your name?
Absolutely
Parma Armory Shooting Center
that is a decent price.
Thank you!
I hate these indoor ranges. They are very boring and the cost is too high. I’d prefer being a member of a rod and Gun Club where you can shoot all year around.
It’s a very old-school thought of you, but it is what you like so enjoy the outdoor range. We have a massive population by us that cannot shoot outside because we are not allowed to so if you don’t wanna drive an hour away and you wanna shoot indoors for convenience
