Kameron Aaron I walk around 180
I had to cut to 165 once and if you do a proper water load and carb and sodium manipulation you don’t even need a sauna or anything like that. Keep training and eat clean and on fight week do the proper water load and sodium and carb play and you’ll be fine.

    Add into a blender:
    1 Orange
    5-10 cashews, alternatively walnuts
1 tb spoon of apple cider vinegar
I add a bit of (soy)milk but you don't have to
    Blend it and you're done.
I used to hate salad just like you, but with this dressing I sometimes have it as the main dish.

I went vegetarian 3 years ago and I found a new lease of life in my training. I'm 46 and loving it as much as I ever did. I'm also training five days a week for about two years now. Before ( I started training Muay Thai in 1998), I didn't even want to train that much. I've only ever done sparring fights, never serious competition but at the gym where I train, I'm easily lasting the pace with guys 25 years younger than I. The fact that I'm still there has a lot to do with my change in diet. And it's even more striking because I'm a heavyweight 1m.90cm & 105kg. No loss of muscle mass or strength. If you're of a mind, go veggie or vegan. Peace to you all. 🙏🏻

im down from 200 lbs to 175 (most of it was visceral fat) and could go lower if i cut out weekend reward food. Whole grains have half the amino acids you need, and legumes have the other half, to make animal protein in your body. It fills you up more, so you can eat less meat. Stay away from flour and sugar and processed foods with preservatives. I make mostly soups with grains and legumes and vegetables and a little meat. fish and poultry, reduce pork and beef or eliminate if possible. i think of processed foods as 'pre-digested'. Cutting a vegetable and boiling it is two steps of digestion your body will not have to do. If a food from the market takes more than four steps of process to make it, its not really food anymore. its lab-based food. its not a recipe its a chemical formula made from food 'extracts', which are no longer food anymore, just component chemical parts.

i feel like i'd like to learn more about portion size because i think that's something really hard to gauge.
i do intermittent fasting (16-8), conditioning 4x/wk, mma 4x/wk, strength training 1x/wk, and eat super clean (aside from one 14oz sweet tea per day--let me live lol) but i also eat what most consider a ridiculous amount of food (but not enough to satiate; i'm always hungry). when i tried to do a trial weight cut (no dehydration), only went from 175 to 170, so my gut tells me (pun not intended) it has to be related to the amount that i eat and i'm sure others likely have similar issues. also strategies on how to beat hunger lol.

I agree when I dropped soda it was like a whole new world, I haven't touched soda in I think 15 years? I do love seltzer water though. I also went full vegan about six years ago and never looked back. As a fighter people didn't agree and thought it was crazy to be vegan. But now that people see that my cardio and recovery time is still awesome, my buddies aren't laughing anymore. Long story short just eat clean people! You are what you eat! Your body can only preform as good you treat it!

I've been underweight my whole life. You should make a video for the people who need to learn how to gain weight while still being healthy and not eating garbage

Any thoughts about "the cheat day"? I watch The Rock down an entire plate of cookies on his cheat days.

I'll give myself a cheat meal if I feel I've earned it (after consistently eating clean and/or after a hard workout). But even then, I keep the cheat meal portions small.

Good tips and the BBox looks like good food but no subscription models for me.

Hey Shane, could you do an updated video how to GAIN weight, and especially for fighting? I'm a 6'1 tall guy who walks around at 158 and wants to bulk up to a fighting weight of 166, because at 152 I feel really weak. The problem is, even with lifting, any gains I make simply won't stay on for long with all the boxing I do.
    Cheers!

Increase your caloric intake -- keep it clean, just eat MORE of it!
