- Thank you to all my subscribers who have been waiting a long time for an update. Sorry for the less than stellar audio on this one - we're experimenting. I wanted to get a video up since I haven't posted since last year when I posted my dyno video. Check it out here: • IROC Camaro Dyno 2013
Now, I'm back with a simple ride along video. Nothing crazy to see here, but this will tide you over until I put together my 2014 update video where we will cover the car in great detail. Expect to see that within the next month or so.

did headers today,rear end last week,intake and holley carb couple months before that.
got a couple 350s on stands ,one being built about this level of horsepower or so.

If you're still running the original 5.0 litre engine that came with the 5 speed manual transmission then the power you're getting out of it is impressive for a 28 year old muscle car. Classic V8 sound - fun video to watch.

I love 3erd. gens. My 1990 1LE-IROC-Z has 6.3 mi. on it as they only made 28 of them.My 1992 1LE-B4C I drive as they made 250 of that one. I found a 1984 305 THAT one is getting a 400 sb. that is in the shed after a warming over.Let the fun begin!

wow only video of a ride along of a iroc. The car was so poorly constructed and literally fell into pieces. But very fast. Great drivetrain. Good looking.. Just early phase of plastic construction not using the right plastic formulas at that time. But again great car This one is badass as hell

what motor is in it and how did you mount the tach below the dash? My 86 z28 is almost like yours except mine is an auto but it has the overhead console too. The color is beautiful in the side mirrors

How do you like that Spec clutch? I just pulled my 350 that is setup a lot like yours. I'm awaiting my 421 crate engine and I'm looking to use the same clutch.

Hey guys who have dealt with 03 and other wonderful oil pans under pontiacs genious of partially blocking ability of removing the damn thing and i was wondering if anybody ever modified this and made it so u can avoid lifting the motor and removing the motor mountings and if not then any thought of risks or rewards of doing this and not all input and advice is greatly appreciated but i will have to say this i have made my mind up so if u have a reason of y i shouldnt. Then please tell me y and please make the argurment worth it again it is going to have to be pretty much a life ending or changing reason for me to stop in my quest lol i welcome questions as well as well as constructive criticism and maybe have answers to others needing advice thanks gearguys and gals

...I'm glad I still have my stock exhaust system on my '87 Z28 5.7 it's got the perfect sound.

I would like to talk to you about your car I have a 1986 as well would like to talk about some stuff you have done to your car I'm in the process installing a blueprint crate 355 390hp engine in my car and have some questions for you.

It's on it's 4th set of gears after 6 years or so haha. I'll eventually stab a 9" in there.

Owned a 85 Z28 305 TPI. It was a good looking car and produced descent power, so I thought. It wouldn't touch a 5.0 mustang or any turbocharged 4 cylinder at that time. I raced a Grand National on the interstate and realized the Z28 at that time was about looks not performance. The pull in your video was equivalent of the 91 5.0 Mustang I bought after the z28 and it was stock. Chevy dropped the ball for many years.
The 3rd gen fbody was built for road racing more so that straight line. Stock to stock a fox body cant keep up on a road coarce
shatnerpants Haha, you have no idea. For one the g92 Camaros could eat the mustangs, the Camaro would win at the track hands down, and it isn't a ugly sack of shit like a foxbody. Third gens only performance flaw was the slower 305, which was still respectable in the 80' but the 5.7 cars could hang with mustangs fine. Oh, and no stock foxbody would ever keep up with the pulls this guy was doing.
shatnerpants I had and 87 mustang cobra 5.0 with 225 hp I could beat the 5.0 Irocz but not 5.7 . The 5.7 had about the same horsepower as the mustangs maybe a touch more but it had such tremendous torque probably 50lbs+ even though they were all automatics they still whipped the mustangs ass which was the whole reason why they brought them out in 87.
