      @MrCarter120 you are soo wrong, if there was a woman driving this would make no difference, its the way he's driving (he basically wrecks the transmission slowly and drives that manual bad in general) that makes car people like us write something like that... We don't expect him be able to drive such a car perfectly, but we expect him to drive a car he can control and learn how not to damage a car worth so much... • @9876543210goodbye
      @9876543210goodbye 9 лет назад +16

      Nicholas Elias I came up in the 70s so I had my share of sporty vehicles with manual transmissions (4 speed was common) and very beefy motors. Shifting isn't that hard. It's more of a technique. If you listen to him drive he's not smooth in the transition of gears. Sounds like he may be pushing the clutch in too far. There's no need to to push the clutch to the floor...You just need it far enough to make the shift. When you do it like that there is less time for the pressure plate to reingauge the flywheel making the gear change quicker and smoother. Plus you need to "Jam" the shifter instead of babying it. What I commented about the shifting was only advice. It wasn't meant to be taken as criticism.

      @@jasonshawver7227 : I am not a Chevy lover by any means so this has nothing to do with being jealous of someone who supposedly has a 69 Yenko Camaro but blaming the shift linkage saying it’s not dialed in has nothing to do with the FACT that he can’t drive a stick...at all. Him buying a different transmission is not going to solve his utter lack of coordination between gas pedal, clutch pedal and moving a shifter. There was not a single smooth shift during that entire ride, he drives like Herman Munster with those big ol’ clodhoper boots. If you can afford to live in that neighborhood then park the Camaro and buy some beater car with a manual transmission and learn how to shift, get help from someone who can drive one and stop torturing that car or just simply put an automatic transmission in it. That was painful to experience.

You gotta make sure you have lots of time to break. You took a couple chances there and if a car pulls out you're done. you're not gonna be able to stop.
