you could paint water around the image you want on the tissue paper and then pull.the image come out easy and and doesnt leave a cut edge. The water dries quikly.
Thanks!
I always forget about this way, using water to rip the tissue. Thank you for the reminder, of this technique!
I loved this technique, it’s stunning, and as you said simple. Thank you.
Fabby video. You could also use a water brush to go around the outside areas that you want, it's easier than tearing. Beautiful cards.xx
Thanks so much Shirley. I appreciate your kind comment. :-)
I was going to say that 😊
I use a wet paintbrush to tear around tissue shapes. Gives more control and still the more organic edges.
I'm thinking, you maybe able to do this with paper napkins. Seperate the layers. Only use the top layer with the design. That maybe cheaper.
I actually have wanted to try that! If you do, let me know how it works.... or better still, if you are on Facebook, I'd love you to join my card making community there. It's a very encouraging and inspiring place to be! You can find us at: facebook.com/groups/sandespoema
I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I've had some health challenges that have set me way behind! :-)
Love how these cards turned out. Thank you. Marilyn from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Oh my gosh, Marilyn, I just realized that I hadn't responded to you! I really appreciate your kind comment. I have had some health challenges this past year that have left me WAY behind... many blessings to you ~
Oh, don't tell everybody that it's super easy. You have a Super Power that nobody else has! LOL Seriously, you've created beautiful cards! Thanks for sharing this with us.
LOL - your comment cracked me up, Carol! Thanks so much for leaving it! Are you on Facebook? If so, I'd love to have you join my card making community there. You can find us at: facebook.com/groups/sandespoema ❤️
Beautiful! thank you for sharing. I'm going to try this.. you explained it slow enough to follow. All the cards are beautiful.
Irene, thanks so much for taking the time to make your kind comment. I'm so sorry for my delayed response. I have been facing some health challenges that have kept me behind and behinder these days... LOL, I think my teaching style comes from actually being an educator for 50+ years!
Are you on Facebook? If so, I'd love to have you join my community there. You can find us at: facebook.com/groups/sandespoema
Okay you just caused me to order that floral EF, I can't get it here as tried before but amazing! Found it at similar cost as here out of stock price from 1, 2, 3 Stitch. God is good. Love working with this sort of paper I tried for first time last year.
❤❤❤ thank you.
I'm glad you could get it! You can also use napkins... just separate the very thin top layer and use that. Sorry for the late reply. I'm trying to catch up after some health challenges. 😊
You have such great ideas and explain everything so well! I love that your videos inspire me to say, "I can do this" Thank you !
Oh, I am so thrilled to ready your comment! That's exactly what I want to communicate through anything I do.... "You can do this!" And it's true! If I can do it, anybody can! :-)
I have several design napkins which I have used for a different technique that I will try, but in essence, I separate the the white backing to leave only the top layer (there are normally 2-3 white layers) and I am left with a single sheet of very thin design layer. If it works, I will let you know, but I am so happy I found your video! It helps we get my creative juices flowing! Thank you!
Also, if you do choose to use the little cups, please recycle. The world will thank you and I thank you too!!
I'm at 4:19 and I'm so freaking impressed with the professional and technical levels of this tutorial. And i watch a LOT of tutorials lol. Well WELL done
Oh my gosh, thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I'm sorry for the late reply... I've had some health challenges and I'm trying to catch up now. I guess my 50+ years as an educator must show... lol! ❤️
Would like to try this using Xmas napkins

Love this Never thought of doing this on cards. Thanks. ❤
Great video! Thank you
Love this idea. Brilliant!!!!!
Thanks so very much, Yvonne! Your kind comment means the world to me. 💗
GORGEOUS!! I absolutely love this idea. I am disabled, and stamping is out of the question for me anymore. This is great, using tissue paper and embossing folders. Part of my work is already done for me! Thank you.
I am disabled too, so I have issues with several different techniques. I find that the 3D Embossing Folders are a great resource. Did you see my tutorial on using them with washi tape??? ruclips.net/video/OVynQcP4Gw0/видео.html
I like how you tell us how to think through our choices for different parts. Like you do with choosing an embossing folder that works well with the tissue paper designs. Thank you!
Thanks so much for your kind comment, Barbara. I really appreciate it a lot! :-)
Thanks!! This looks super fun!! I will definitely join the "have to keep making these" club!
Awesome! I hope you have made some cards by now, Shelly. I'd love to have you join my Facebook Card Making Group. Oh Susan, that does totally bless me! I am telling you -- once you try this method for yourself, you won't be able to stop. Beautiful and yet so easy!!! I have been looking at rice paper online. I've never used it, but you don't know what may happen until you try! :)
Love this. Going to try it with napkins soon!

Oh, thank you so much! I hope that by now you have made a wonderful B&W series of cards! I'm so sorry for the late response. I've had to take 4 months off due to some health challenges & I'm trying to catch up!
You and me the same idea. But I already have these trio of rolls, and I would not even bother to tear them apart, but will glue them as it is. After embossing, I don't have brick, but have wooden planks and trank folders and it would be awesome. I also am sure you can do this with napkins and I have them gorgeous looking. YAY!!!😘
Second video of the day. So happy to have found your channel. Can’t wait to try this 🥰

My compliment was all true. That card is absolutely gorgeous!

I love the technique! I tried it years ago, But I didn't use the embossing folder on top. that really makes the card. I love it! thanks for sharing.

I wonder how this would work with a single layer of napkin. I tried ironing napkins and Saran Wrap onto cardstock with mixed success so I have a lot of pretty napkins!
This video inspired me.
Oh Kendi, that blesses me so much! Thanks for letting me know!
Sande, I’d been in a slump and I saw this video. I posted the cards on my IG and FB accounts. People really liked the card inspired by your beautiful cards.

Awesome! Thanks so much, Lorraine!
So pretty! I haven't tried this technique before, so I'm really excited to give it a whirl. Now to go get some kind of medium to make the paper stick! ha ha Thanks for sharing such a cool idea.

Hi Sande
I am new to your channel. Love your tissue paper cards. I have a question for you. The black card with flowers is absolutely gorgeous .
I really like the friendship saying on front. Was that a stamp and if so where did you get it ? I have made several of the cards with tissue paper and embossed. Love this technique. Never mind I found it. Enjoy you videos !!!
Hi Karen! Welcome! It is from the Altenew Friends Forever set. There is a link below the video in the description (click on More). I'm so glad that you liked the video! I've been on vacation but will be making more tutorials soon. :-)

Thanks so much! I'm so sorry for my late reply. I've had several health challenges this year and I am SO behind! Blessings to you... :-)
❤
Oh my gosh, I just realized that I never responded to you! Thanks so very much Shirley! :-)
This is a great technique - thanks for sharing! Wondering if you spritzed the card stock before embossing?
Hi Jen. No, I didn't, because I seem to have discovered a sandwich for my die cutting machine that works without it. :)
@@sandespoema Ok - I’ll give it a go - thanks again for sharing and for getting back to me❤️
Love your creative embossing and design. Question, what did you mean "layered the tissue paper together; it's not just one big piece". The flowers seem to be raised so did you tear and layer each flower? If so, how did you do that? Sorry, I'm not understanding completely. I'm kinda new at this. Thanks for advising.
Hi ~ I'm sorry for the confusion! You just tear out the pieces of tissue paper that you like and then apply them to the card stock individually. You can layer them (overlap them) if you want, but you don't need to do so. I hope that helps!
Thank you. I must have been brain dead or multi-tasking while watching your video because I watched again and it makes total sense. Thk u for responding tho. I love your cards and will be using your process. I've done a lot of decoupaging and using 3d folders but I particularly liked yours. @@sandespoema
I'm wondering if napkin paper would work as well
Oh my gosh, I just realized that I never responded to you! I'm so sorry, Robin. It's been a challenging year for me and I am so behind! YES, I think that napkins would work well and I've wanted to try them. I'm sure by now you probably have! Blessings to you ~
What a great idea, and love the samples. Thanks so much for sharing. Sande, How can I send you the cards for your charity??
Hi Roberta. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it so much! I don't have my own charity, but I do send cards out to local nursing homes, etc. You can do the same! Or check this out.... it's a great way to bless others!

Thought you were gong to stamp on tissue paper and then emboss it
This would work with lovely napkins, also right?

Do you have to have 3 D folders? I only have regular ones
I have not tried with regular embossing folders, but I bet most of these techniques still work! Let me know if you try it out.... :)

Use napkins
Yes, you can use napkins too. 😊
Could you not just use the sheet of paper uncut.?
